Calypsea kept devouring the Verdant Vale Lower Realm's Realm Core without a care in the world.
She didn't even care after the Verdant Vale Realm Master dropped into the apocalyptic fla zone. She didn't even turn around, and Thousand Windblades fled for his life, directly ripping open a new path in the underground and then crushing a spatial talisman to escape after he escaped the unstable space.
Lereza descended but didn't get too close. The heat was really unbearable.
She didn't think even her unique property could battle against these apocalyptic flas. It was too dangerous. Plants were already weak to fire. Even though she was resistant to most fires with her everlasting property, she didn't want to take a chance on this one.
She closely kept a watch on Realm Master Thousand Windblades' aura but was surprised to sense that it had disappeared.
"What the… he abandoned his own realm…."
Lereza was shocked. Her soul sense caught the aura of the spatial vortex. She knew he had escaped.
Her plan had been to pincer him with Calypsea. Together, she imagined they had a high chance of killing him, but he directly escaped.
"As expected of the most selfish Realm Master of the Lower Realms. He doesn't care about anything other than his life. His experience in surviving nurous onslaughts also seed to have helped him make a split-second decision."
Lereza had been really fast.
It had just been three seconds since she sent him flying into the sea of apocalyptic flas. She saw his body engulfed in purple-black flas a bit, but he directly carved out his flesh with his wind energy blades.
He was also ruthless to himself.
Lereza couldn't help but frown. She felt leaving this man alive wasn't a good option.
But what could he do in this state where the realm's full aid wasn't with him?
If anything, she wondered if Realm Master Thousand Windblades would do as he said and return to kill Fenren and the others right now. In that case, she imagined she should quickly make her way back to them, but at the sa ti, she couldn't leave Calypsea here either.
She could be attacked from behind by Thousand Windblades or even Heaven's Warriors, who might arrive at any ti.
"Now that I think about it, where are the Heaven's Warriors in this realm? Could it be that they weren't stationed here?"
Lereza wondered loudly as she looked around.
She didn't see a single one. There were no corpses either.
'It couldn't be that Calypsea incinerated them into thin air, right?'
Lereza was honestly confused. Those Divergent-hungry fellows were nowhere to be seen. She couldn't help but narrow her eyes again as she imagined the other two teams must have been found.
In that case, she needed to gather them all and return soon.
'Yes, no matter what… returning alive together with everyone is the topmost priority…'
Lereza descended even more as she erected a barrier made out of wood. It was burning at a rapid pace from the extraordinary heat Calypsea and the Realm Core constantly spewed out. But at this altitude, she was still safe.
"Calypsea, how many hours will it take for you to consu the Realm Core?"
Lereza sent Calypsea a soul transmission.
Calypsea was jolted out of her reverie for the first ti. She had her tongue out, and the lted golden essence of the core appeared to spill down her chin. She licked her lips and wiped the essence of her face before she shyly grinned.
"Elder sister Lereza, I don't know how many hours it will take."
Calypsea put up her hand and raised her fingers, counting. After she raised three fingers, she grinned widely, "But I do know that it will take three days for to reach the central core!"
"…"
Lereza didn't bother correcting that it was seventy-two hours, and she went speechless.
The central core? What was that?
She couldn't see properly because of the purple-black flas nearly everywhere, and her senses certainly couldn't reach inside the Realm Core.
However, Calypsea seed capable of looking into its crystalline body.
That alone was terrifying on its own, as no one had managed to see through the intricacies of the Realm Core. At the very least, there were no public records of soone managing to decipher the secrets of the Realm Core.
Lereza raised her hand and held her pink sleeve before her face, stopping herself from breathing the toxic air.
It wasn't just from the apocalyptic flas.
The Lower Realm's Realm Core had an insane amount of energy that she couldn't begin to describe. Just standing beside it made her feel full because of the ridiculous density of the heaven and earth energy. But because it had too many types of energy, it wasn't absorbable. It would cause energy poisoning and related symptoms.
But on the other hand, Calypsea seed to have the ability to directly refine it with her apocalyptic flas. She guessed it would be enough for Calypsea to reach the Exalt Stage even with her ridiculous prowess.
'If it is going to take three days, then it's useless to stay here…'
Lereza frowned.
They might succeed in destroying the realm, but they would be buried with it since they would be surrounded.
Their mission was quite simple. To rescue so people and, if they were found out, to threaten them, and if threatening didn't work, they were to use Calypsea and destroy the realm if they could. However, it didn't seem as easy as they predicted.
For one, Calypsea wasn't straightaway destroying it. She was refining and absorbing it. It was unknown if she could destroy it easily, considering the ridiculous size of the Realm Core. Only a tiny part of the outer layer was lting at the mont.
She couldn't understand how that was causing the Realm Core to react like it was in its death throes, spewing out apocalyptic flas of its own in reaction.
Originally, she felt even Davis using that black-white stone wouldn't be able to make damage of that level in the Realm Core. But Calypsea made it possible even when she was a bit weaker. Clearly, the apocalyptic flas were the kind of fla energy that made this possible.
"Elder sister Lereza, the Realm Core is pleading to to let it go. Should I let it go?"
Suddenly, Calypsea sent a soul transmission, her voice hesitant.
"…"
Lereza was deeply thinking about what kind of decision to make when she heard sothing incredulous. It shut down her thought process, disallowing her to think for three whole seconds straight.
"W-What!?"
