Davis straightened out his robe and walked out, eting with Isabella and the others.
He quickly adopted a solemn expression and inford them about his mini-adventure outside, which consisted of information about the Storm Divergent and Astral Cultivation. He further talked about the Cursed Artifact.
Seeing that everyone was curious, he took out the jade green fan without warning them.
"Ahhh!~"
Without betraying his expectations, Alinna scread as she plopped to the ground. Without entering her sword zone, she was just a timid rabbit.
Shirley and Isabella were shaken. They visibly froze while the others fared worse, trembling or staggering back.
"Oh?" Davis was highly intrigued, "Even my wives who have witnessed and basked in my death energy are afraid of this cursed artifact? Interesting..."
He said no more and put it back inside the container and sealed it.
Waiting for five whole seconds for them to calm down, he asked about how they felt, even though he used Heart Intent to sense it.
Shirley felt like an evil entity had erupted right in front of her eyes. Isabella felt a similar sensation, but the heavy and sinister aura made her recall her worst nightmares. Dewzai reminded them she felt this experience was similar to the ti she stood on those stairs. Flarose felt pure fear, which made her instincts scream for her to run. Frostrose, her eyes guiltily averted when she looked at him, but she still said she felt the sa as Flarose.
Tia remained silent.
Everyone smiled since they were just spooked and hadn’t lost their minds.
"It’s different from your death energy. We instinctively and ntally know that you will not harm us, but for this treasure, it’s way too obvious that it’s seeking to harm us. If you had kept it out for a few more seconds, it might even try to tempt us..." Isabella dryly laughed.
Shirley nodded. Her eyes darted around before she put her hands over her hips and harrumphed.
"Anyway, we just tried our hands at learning high-grade inscriptions in the skill district. We’re tired. At the very least, I’m going to sleep. Don’t disturb ."
Shirley threw her hands. She grabbed Dewzai and left as though she was angry that her standing within the group had taken a hit because she had been scared by the cursed artifact.
"Well, I’m also tired." Isabella raised her hand up to her mouth and yawned even though she wore a veil on her face.
"I’m also going to sleep." Tia stretched and turned to leave, "Generating those threads does indeed take a toll on my psyche."
"I’m also coming with you, Shirley. I’m never going to try my hand at inscriptions again. So difficult..."
Flarose complained as she walked by their side.
In the end, the fla trio went to Shirley’s room. Tia and Isabella went to their rooms, leaving behind Davis, Alinna, and Frostrose.
"Hehe~ I’m also leaving, so please lock the door."
Alinna felt sothing amiss. She couldn’t tell what it was. Still, using this chance, she decided to escape.
Davis’s gaze darted to the two rooms before his gaze fell on Frostrose. He controlled himself and sighed.
"I’m sorry... that we couldn’t do it until we reach each other’s satisfaction."
"..." Frostrose gazed down, "No need to ntion it. I just find this... dream, lovely."
"..."
Davis could only wonder what kind of romantic imagination was running through her mind. He ca closer to her and softly grabbed her shoulders, making her sit on the couch as he too sat beside her. Sharing the warmth, he placed a gentle kiss on her cheek.
"It’s not a dream."
Davis said with a wry smile, "I want to make it a reality. I’m sure you know, other than Flarose, half of them have realized what’s going on with us."
Frostrose’s blush reached her ears. Of course, she knew, but she refused to believe it.
"They pretend for my sake because I haven’t taken a new wife for nearly a decade. I’ve just begun to court Fairy Xiu Juili. Regardless, they wish to see succeed, and I’m sure Shirley wants you by her side as a sister. I know her. She always wants to be surrounded by flowers and beco the focal point. I don’t mind her thinking that way. In fact, I also want to see her adorned with beautiful flowers and never lose her smile. That’s why- you twins will always have my thanks."
Frostrose cald a bit. She looked up at him, smiling lightly, "I know. Your respectful gaze is what attracts the most. It’s unknown when I wanted to change the way you look at , so I’m no longer the sa Frostrose you knew back then. Perhaps... this is a change brought about by my evolution to a cold Lunar Frostwing Phoenix. I’ve beco... more cunning..."
She said the last few words in a self-deprecating tone, clearly feeling guilty for wanting to do it behind Shirley’s back. However, she also didn’t want to change the status quo. She liked to maintain the respect others gave her, especially Davis.
But after seeing his passion, she couldn’t help but want more.
"Your majesty~"
Frostrose turned to look at him, her snow-sapphire eyes quivering, "Will you love ...?"
Davis’s boat was already shaken when she heard him address her like that.
Frostrose had indeed beco more cunning, yet he liked it.
"It’s difficult..." Davis’s voice had nearly gone dry, "We started off on the wrong foot. I am ashad to say that I have more lust for you than love. However, I promise that I will... do my best to love you like I love my wives."
"That’s fine." Frostrose hid her smile, "I know what I’m doing, playing with your heart like that. It’s my fault, so please don’t bla yourself, your majesty~"
Davis couldn’t hold it anymore. Her sweet words made him lean and take her lips again.
However, this ti, he was more gentle, encompassing her body with his arms like he was carefully holding sothing precious.
Davis couldn’t get enough of her lips. If it tasted like sin before, then it tasted like redemption now. He was able to clear the air between them and give her a promise, which made him feel rightful about the situation.
Eventually, he let her go because Frostrose fainted.
"Kuu~"
Her head hung over his chest as she limply lay over him. She was gasping for breath because they had been kissing for ten minutes straight.
Davis was dumbfounded. However, he couldn’t help but smile since he felt like he had found a new side to Frostrose. She beca more precious in his eyes, causing him to carry her into her room and lay her to bed.
Frostrose eventually ca to herself. She turned so embarrassed that she turned wild.
"You... you should leave."
Davis stood outside her room as she pushed him outside. His lips curled, thinking that in the end, Frostrose was still a maiden who had reservations about losing her first ti once she really thought about it. He had ruined her dream, making it a reality. Hence, her considerations grew out of nowhere.
He felt like he stabbed himself, but he shrugged, feeling like he did the right thing.
Davis calmly thought for two seconds as he turned towards Isabella’s door.
Only Isabella was alone, so he should go to her. In his heart, he knew Isabella would not reject him.
However, Davis frowned ever so slightly.
’Why do I need to avoid them in order to have intimacy with my own wife? It’s ridiculous...’
Davis walked towards Shirley’s door and stared at it like he was a ghost.
His soul force sank in and directly entered Dewzai and Flarose, putting them into a bottomless illusion. With a reach of his hand, he opened the door and made his way forward.
At the center of the twin king-sized bed, Shirley slept.
She was indeed sleeping, making him understand that she had been practicing inscriptions diligently. It seems like his comnt had lit up a fuse in them. Regardless, such fleeting thoughts couldn’t jolt his mind back to his senses.
He closed the door, locked it, and walked towards Shirley.
Shirley was deep asleep when she sensed her body being flipped aside. Her eyes instantly shot wide, but before she could react, sothing was already pressed against the fabric of her underwear. Sothing wild sank in, and she instantly felt wet, causing her to clamp her legs against a foreign block of flesh.
"You..."
