Archie Sumrs leaned forward, his hands braced on the table, and looked at everyone present. "Those shares aren’t doing you any good just sitting in your hands. This is the share purchase agreent I’ve drawn up. If there are no issues, just sign it. My ti is limited!" As he spoke, Archie glanced down at his watch.
"This..." The four middle-aged n at the table looked deeply troubled. They all cautiously glanced toward Caleb Grayson and Tristan Grayson, trying to gauge their expressions.
The few of them were old-tirs who had joined the company back when it was just starting out. The chairman had treated them well, giving each of them five percent of the company’s shares upon their retirent to provide for their old age.
In a way, the Grayson family had been supporting them all these years...
On one hand, there was loyalty. On the other, the temptation of money...
Archie Sumrs had already acquired thirty-five percent of the shares. Aside from Caleb Grayson, Archie currently held the largest stake. If he successfully acquired the shares from these four n, he would beco the largest shareholder in LK Group.
Seeing the old n hesitating, Archie Sumrs let out a derisive laugh and turned to swipe a finger across the large screen behind him. "As you can all see, the group has recently suffered serious losses due to Young Master Grayson’s personal conduct. The stock price is dropping hard every day. Transferring your shares to now is undoubtedly the best ti to cash out. Besides, the profit I’m offering you is higher than what you’d gain from holding onto your LK Group shares for the next five years."
Archie Sumrs’ words indeed had the four n stirring restlessly.
Watching these ungrateful old employees, Tristan Grayson’s heart grew cold.
He gave them tens of millions for free every year, yet now, for a tiny bit of profit, they were ready to completely betray the Grayson family.
Caleb Grayson hadn’t said a single word since sitting down. He just frowned, studying Archie Sumrs. From the mont he first saw Archie yesterday, he’d felt that the young man was familiar, giving him a sense of closeness.
It was as if he saw the shadow of that person from many years ago in him.
But he knew Archie wasn’t that person’s child. He was Mika’s biological brother; how could he possibly be that person’s son?
Just then, Tristan Grayson gestured with his hand, and Henry Archer imdiately stepped forward to distribute a contract to each of them.
Tristan Grayson looked at them with cold eyes and said in a stern voice, "This is the Grayson family’s share purchase agreent. All of you, consider whether you want to sell your shares to Mr. Sumrs or to the Grayson family."
The price he offered wasn’t as high as Archie’s, just slightly above market value.
He was doing this on purpose. He wanted to see if they had any conscience left...
The four of them stared at the contracts on the table, scared to death. If they offended the Grayson family, their lives in Tridell would likely beco very difficult.
However, if they signed with the Grayson family, they would lose out on a huge sum of money...
Seeing their conflicted expressions, Tristan Grayson’s lips curled into a smirk. "Lewis, what’s your decision?"
"I..." Lewis swallowed hard and pushed Archie’s contract away. "I-I’ll sell my shares to Young Master Grayson."
"Hm..." Tristan Grayson’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he nodded. He then turned to the man sitting next to Lewis. "Archer, what about you?"
Suddenly being called on, Archer was so startled the pen nearly fell from his hand. He looked up with an apologetic smile and said, "I’ll also sell my shares to Young Master Grayson. They were originally the Grayson family’s anyway."
"Very good. And you, Warren and Lane?"
Warren shut his eyes, steeled himself, and decisively signed his na. "Tristan, I’ll sell my shares to you, too." ’At a ti like this, only soone with a death wish would dare sell their shares to an outsider,’ he thought.
