The busy morning was finally over.
Archie Sumrs took forty percent of the shares, while Caleb Grayson held sixty percent—a clear victory.
But even though Tristan Grayson had bested Archie Sumrs, he was still far from happy.
The thought of Archie Sumrs joining the LK Group as a shareholder was enough to sour his mood.
Caleb Grayson, on the other hand, wasn’t angry. After all, the group still belonged to their family.
It didn’t matter to him who the shareholder was. They were simply a business partner.
He rose to his feet and said to Tristan Grayson in a deep voice, "It’s getting late. Let’s go to the hospital and see Mika."
Tristan Grayson nodded. At the thought of Mika, his gloomy expression finally softened a little.
After telling Louise Jordan to put the docunts away, Archie Sumrs stuck his hands in his pockets and walked over to Tristan Grayson and his father. "Grayson, are you two going to the hospital to see Mika?"
"Yes, we are. Are you going too, Archie?" Caleb Grayson replied with a smile.
Archie Sumrs chuckled, his tone teasing. "Of course I am. I’m just afraid a certain soone might not welco ." As he spoke, he shot a pointed look at Tristan Grayson.
Tristan Grayson’s face instantly darkened. "You’re not welco, yet you’re still going? You’ve got so nerve!"
"She’s my sister. It’s only natural that I go see her."
"Heh, who knows what you’re really up to." ’All he ever does is try to get that woman to divorce . That’s why I’m dead set against him going to the hospital to see her.’
"Tristan, what kind of way is that to talk? Is there anything wrong with Archie going to see Mika?"
"There’s nothing wrong with it. You two go ahead. I have business to attend to. I’m leaving." With that, Tristan Grayson left with Henry Archer.
Seeing his son at odds with Archie, Caleb Grayson felt quite awkward. He forced a smile and said placatingly, "That boy is just like that. Once he gets busy with work, he ignores everyone. Let’s head to the hospital."
"Mm." Archie Sumrs nodded with a smile, but a cold glint flashed in the depths of his eyes.

’And only my foolish sister would be willing to fall for it...’
Outside the conference room, Tristan Grayson rolled up his sleeves. "Henry," he said, his voice low and cold, "pass down the order. From now on, we’re not hiring anyone from the Lane Family. Reject all applicants."
"Yes, boss!" Henry Archer replied promptly.
"And one more thing. Find out who the real boss behind X Group is."
Keeping pace with his boss, Henry Archer asked in confusion, "Didn’t we already look into that? Isn’t their boss Mr. Sumrs?"
"Do you really think," Tristan Grayson said, his lips curling into a sinister smirk, his eyes turning dark, "that a newly appointed president of X Group, soone with no status or background, could acquire forty percent of LK Group’s shares in just a few days on his own?"
"I’ll get right on it." ’It made sense,’ Henry Archer thought. ’The boss chose to marry his wife partly because her family was easy to control. For such a capable older brother to suddenly appear out of nowhere was suspicious indeed...’

...Listening to the girls in her class echo each other’s vicious gossip, Tiana Grayson’s hands clenched into tight fists, her eyes turning cold as ice.
