Cassian Jennings, who had just regained a sliver of his sanity, was on the verge of losing it again. Clinging to his last shred of consciousness, he roared at them, "If you don’t want to die, get the hell away from !"
"Master Jennings, don’t be like that. It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. Why don’t we catch up a little?"
"Get the hell away from ! Don’t make say it a third ti!"
...
Seeing that Cassian Jennings wasn’t joking, the won’s faces all fell, and they left.
After the hallway was finally quiet, Cassian Jennings angrily turned and kicked the wall. "Damn it!" He knew Gia Miller was getting revenge on all of them, but she shouldn’t have dragged Tristan Grayson into this. Tristan was about to get married. If he woke up and found out what happened, all of Tridell would probably be thrown into chaos.
After Cassian Jennings left Vespera, the discomfort in his body returned. He leaned against his car, struggling to suppress the burning... heat... surging within him.
"Cassian Jennings, where’s Tristan?" Just then, an urgent male voice called out.
Hearing the voice, Cassian Jennings turned to see Aiden Avery and Alia Avery running toward him. He straightened up and said slowly, his voice cold, "I don’t know. He was gone by the ti I chased after him."
Hearing this, Aiden Avery threw a punch straight at him. "You bastard! I told you a trashy woman like Gia Miller wasn’t worth your ti, and now look! She even dared to go after Tristan."
Cassian Jennings was already struggling to stay upright, so Aiden Avery’s punch sent him sprawling to the ground.
Seeing this, Alia Avery’s heart ached. She rushed forward to shield Cassian Jennings. "Brother, don’t be rash! I’ve already called Leo Joyce. He’ll definitely find Tristan as soon as possible." Ever since Gia Miller had frad Alia, Leo had kept soone watching Gia, so it shouldn’t take long to find her this ti.
"Give Leo Joyce’s number. I’m heading over now."
"Okay." Alia Avery nodded, took out her phone, and sent Leo Joyce’s number to Aiden Avery.
After getting the number, Aiden Avery angrily turned to Cassian Jennings, who was behind Alia Avery. "You bastard, if I ever see you ssing around with Gia Miller again, I’ll cripple you! Believe it."
"That’s enough, Brother. Just hurry up and go find Tristan."
Despite his cursing, Aiden Avery was still a little worried about Cassian Jennings’s drunken state. "Take him ho, then give a call."
"Okay, I will."
After Aiden Avery left, Alia Avery sighed, her small face scrunched in a frown. She reached out to help Cassian Jennings up from the ground. "Co on, get up."
"Leave alone." When Alia Avery’s cool hands touched Cassian Jennings’s arm, a shudder ran through him. Angrily and uneasily, he flung her hands away without hesitation.
Alia Avery’s heart sank. "Cassian, don’t you get it yet? Gia Miller is not good enough for you! She even tried to seduce—your best friend!"
"If it weren’t for what you did to Gia, would she have ever turned out like this?" ’He was perfectly aware of what kind of woman Gia Miller was now. But regardless of what she was like, and whether she was in the picture or not, there was no future for him and Alia Avery.’
Alia Avery suppressed her heartache and shouted resentfully, "Even without , Gia Miller would still be this kind of person!" ’What kind of spell had Gia cast to make Cassian so utterly devoted to her? Even after seeing her livestreams twice, he still wanted to be with her.’
"Alia Avery, that’s enough. Take to the hospital now." Cassian Jennings didn’t want to argue with her about these pointless things. He pushed himself to his feet and spoke in a low voice.
"The hospital? Cassian, are you hurt?"
"Just do it! Get to the hospital, quickly." Cassian Jennings pulled his keys from his pocket and tossed them to Alia Avery.
Now Alia Avery was getting anxious too. "Oh, okay."
