「Half an hour later.」
Gia Miller brought Tristan Grayson to her apartnt. After laying him on the bed, she rubbed her aching shoulders and waved for the staff to leave.
’When she rembered that Cassian Jennings still had enough strength to chase after her as she left, she knew she’d made the right decision to use different drugs on them. Otherwise, there was no way she could have brought Tristan Grayson ho.’
’Tristan drank the sleeping pills, so he won’t be waking up for at least an hour or two.’ She went and poured a glass of water. After taking a sip, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She walked to the edge of the bed and leaned over Tristan Grayson. Gazing at his handso face, her heart pounded in her chest. Her eyes began to well up, and her voice choked as she spoke. "Tristan, do you have any idea how much I like you? But you’ve never been willing to give so much as a single glance. Even one look would have been enough to make happy."
"The only reason I got close to Cassian Jennings was for you! It was all to get closer to you, but why won’t you even look at ? What’s so great about that Maggie Monroe? She’s about to die, so why are you still so good to her? And that... that Mika Sumrs! She’s nothing but a country bumpkin! How is she possibly worthy of soone as incredible as you? Why can’t you just look at for once?" she sobbed, still speaking to the unconscious Tristan Grayson. By the end, her voice was trembling violently and her face had turned deathly pale. Shaking, she pushed herself off of him and turned, frantically searching the room for her purse.
But after searching the entire room, she couldn’t find it. Her only option was to open the door and look outside.
The mont Gia Miller left, the man on the bed suddenly opened his eyes. They were filled with a vicious coldness. He slowly pulled a phone from his pocket, dialed a number, and spoke in a frigid tone, "Henry Archer, notify Ian Shaw imdiately. By tomorrow, I want to see the Miller Family disappear from Tridell. Utterly and completely."
"Boss?" On the other end of the line, Henry Archer was shocked wide awake. ’Making the Miller family disappear? This is a huge deal... The Miller Family isn’t a group that just anyone can touch...’
Tristan Grayson lowered his gaze for a mont, then said in a heavy voice, "Tell Ian Shaw that this isn’t just my decision. I’m sure it’s what Aiden Avery wants as well."
"Yes, boss." The mont he heard the na Aiden Avery, Henry Archer understood completely.
Tristan Grayson hung up the phone and stared silently at the doorway, waiting for Gia Miller to co back...
A mont later, Gia Miller appeared in the doorway wearing a sexy, rose-colored nightgown. The strong scent of her perfu was noticeable from a distance. Tristan Grayson’s eyes narrowed. He glanced casually at her face, noticing her makeup was even heavier than it had been at Vespera. He couldn’t help but sneer. ’Trying to seduce with that ghoulish makeup? Pathetic...’
Gia Miller walked over, holding a glass of milk. When she saw that Tristan was awake, a flicker of surprise and disappointnt crossed her face. She quickly forced a smile and said softly, "Tristan, you’re awake."
"Yes. How did I end up here?" Tristan Grayson replied coldly.
"Oh, well, you were drunk, Tristan, so... I brought you to my place to sober up."
"Heh... And what about Cassian Jennings?" ’Bringing another man ho to sober up while ditching her own boyfriend at a bar? Does she really think he’s as gullible as a three-year-old?’
Gia Miller hadn’t expected Tristan to wake up so soon. She looked away nervously and walked closer with her head lowered. "Cassian is resting downstairs," she said, her voice faint. "Tristan, why don’t you have so milk first?"
As she spoke, Gia Miller placed the glass on the bedside table.
Tristan Grayson reached out and picked up the glass from the table. He raised an elegant eyebrow, his tone chilling. "Back when I was filming, there were always audacious won who would try to pour tea, fetch water, or hand drinks. Do you know what always happened to them in the end?"
