Archie Sumrs nodded, signaling for Lily Shaw to speak.
With her cheeks flushed red, Lily Shaw took out her phone and gave it to Archie Sumrs. Archie gave a roguish smile, took the phone, and handed it to Howard Rhodes behind him.
Howard Rhodes quickly saved the number. "Boss, it’s done."
"Mm," Archie Sumrs nodded. He returned the phone to Lily Shaw, the smile vanishing from his lips. He held out his hand behind him again, and Howard Rhodes placed a business card in it. With a wicked glint in his eyes, he tucked the card into Lily Shaw’s hand, his sharp voice slowly ringing out, "The beautiful Miss Shaw, if there’s anything you want to tell , feel free to call anyti."
"Yes."
Seeing Lily Shaw’s expression, Archie Sumrs simply curled his lips into a faint smile. His tone was flirtatious and ambiguous. "Goodbye, beautiful Miss Shaw. I’ll be looking forward to your call."
"Goodbye!"
Only after Archie Sumrs and his n had left did Henry Archer dare to speak. Pointing a finger at Lily Shaw in exasperation, he cursed, "Lily Shaw, you traitor!"
"How am I a traitor? I didn’t say anything just now." Still basking in the afterglow of Archie Sumrs’s gentle deanor, Lily Shaw shot Henry Archer a disgruntled glare.
"You call that not saying anything?"
"I just gave President Sumrs Tristan’s phone number, that’s all. Besides, President Sumrs is a shareholder in our company. He’s one of us. There’s nothing wrong with giving it to him."
"You... you’re infuriating! I’m not talking to you anymore. I’m going to find President Shaw right now and let him deal with you." After saying his piece, Henry Archer stord out of the office.
Having been scolded for no reason, Lily Shaw stomped her foot in anger. She pointed at Henry Archer’s departing back and yelled, "Henry Archer, you’re the damn traitor! ’He’s always running to my brother to tattle on . Am I the only one he can pick on in the whole company?’"
「Vespera」
"You bastard!" Aiden Avery had already lost count of how many tis he’d punched Cassian Jennings.
Inside the VIP suite, no one stepped forward to stop him. They just watched coldly as Aiden Avery beat Cassian Jennings.
Leo Joyce sat on a nearby sofa, his fists clenching and unclenching. As far as he was concerned, the dozen or so punches Cassian had taken were far too light.
If it were him, he would have already taken a machete and crippled the man.
Blood was streaming from Cassian Jennings’s nose and mouth, but he seed to feel nothing. He casually wiped the blood away with his hand and looked up at Aiden Avery. "If you’re not done yet, then continue!"
"Bastard!" Aiden Avery raised his fist and threw another punch. "You think I don’t have the guts to kill you? Let tell you, Cassian Jennings, if we can’t find Alia, I won’t let you off!"
Just then, Ian Shaw’s phone rang. With a grim expression, he glanced at Aiden and Cassian, then took out his phone and answered. "What is it?"
"President Shaw, you have to get to the company, quickly! If you don’t, our president’s position might be lost."
"What’s going on?" Ian Shaw raised a hand to signal Aiden to stop hitting him, then asked coldly with narrowed eyes.
"This morning, that new President Sumrs was grilling us at the company. He insisted that Lily Shaw and I tell him where the president went. President Shaw, you know I’m completely and utterly loyal to the boss, but... your sister wasn’t quite as firm in her principles as I was."
Ian Shaw’s brow darkened with frustration. He cut off Henry Archer’s tattling with a cold voice, "Enough. I get it. That’s all, I’m on my way to the company now."
"Okay." Henry Archer reluctantly hung up.
Seeing the unpleasant look on Ian Shaw’s face, Aiden Avery suppressed his rage and sat down on the sofa. "If you have sothing to do, you should go."
Ian Shaw put his phone in his pocket and looked at Aiden. "Even if you beat Cassian to death, you won’t find Alia. You know what happened that night, don’t you? Cassian only did what he did because he fell for Gia Miller’s trick." ’If he weren’t afraid that Aiden would actually kill Cassian after he left, he wouldn’t have bothered saying a word.’
"Then why didn’t he say anything at the ti!" It was sothing that never should have happened. But he was the one who had asked Alia Avery to take Cassian Jennings ho, and Cassian hadn’t refused.
That’s what made him the most furious!
"You know your sister’s personality. She was willing. How could Cassian possibly have refused, given the state he was in?"
’What does he an, his sister was willing, so Cassian couldn’t refuse? In situations like this, his sister is always the one who loses out!’ "I don’t care! Cassian Jennings, as soon as we find Alia Avery, you two are getting married imdiately! But during this ti that Alia is gone, if you dare do anything to wrong her, I’ll fucking cripple you!"
