"Tristan Grayson, you bastard! What did you do to ?!" Seeing his knowing, wicked smile, her heart began to hamr in her chest.
She had just gotten engaged to Silas Kent, and now she... she and Tristan Grayson...
"If you can’t rember, why don’t we just do it again?" As he spoke, Tristan Grayson reached out and pulled her into his arms.
’Yesterday, he was worried Mika wouldn’t forgive him, that she would hate him. But now, he wasn’t worried anymore. *In vino veritas*. The way she was last night... that was the real her.’
"Tristan Grayson, you bastard! You took advantage of ! We’re divorced, why are you still doing this to ?!" Mika yelled, pushing and hitting him as she struggled out of his arms.
Tristan stood and pulled her tightly back into his arms. "Mika, I know I’ve done so many things wrong. I know you can’t forgive right now. But if there’s still even a tiny place for in your heart, please, give another chance. Give our family another chance. Can we do it for Kiki? Please? He misses his mommy. He hasn’t been happy once since you left. He just wants his mommy..." By the end, Tristan’s voice was choked with emotion.
"Tristan, I hate you! I hate you so much! Why would you do this to ?! Why! Why!" The mont he ntioned Kiki, all her resolve crumbled.
’She missed Kiki too. So, so much. She wanted nothing more than to live with him again. But to do that, she’d have to face Tristan, and she didn’t dare. She didn’t dare risk it one more ti...’
She clung to Tristan, sobbing uncontrollably. He just held her tight, apologizing over and over. "I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I’m a bastard. It was all my fault. I’m the one who hurt you. From now on, I swear I’ll love you right."
His words only made her tears fall faster, impossible to stop.
’Should she believe him? Could she really trust his words one more ti?’
’She couldn’t take being hurt again. His promises terrified her as much as they tempted her.’

"Mika, co ho with , please?"
She wiped her tears and struggled out of his arms. "Tristan..."
"Mika, can we start over? Please?" Tristan asked, watching her anxiously.
Mika pushed his hand away and took a step back, shaking her head. Through her tears, she said, "I’m sorry, Tristan. I’m sorry... I... I can’t... I can’t say yes right now..."
With that, she turned and ran for the door, flinging it open to leave.
Tristan caught up in an instant, grabbing her arm tightly. "Mika, I’ll use ti to prove my sincerity and resolve."
Before Mika could answer, he bent down and swept her into his arms. He lowered his head, kissing the tears from her cheeks, his voice turning hoarse. "No matter what, I will never let you go again! And I will never, ever let you run away from again!"
"Tristan, you bastard!" she sobbed, unable to form words as she pounded on his chest.
He held her tighter, his voice trembling. "Yes, I’m a bastard. I’m not even human! I’m a worthless piece of trash! But if I lose you again... I honestly don’t know how I’ll go on living. I won’t know what the point of anything is. Mika, I truly know that I was wrong..."
