Having been away from ho for two days, Liu Ergou was anxious to return. He couldn't help but worry, having left his sister-in-law, Xu Yulan, ho alone for those two days, and he was eager to know how she was doing.
However, when he rushed back, he found Xu Yulan wasn't there. She must have gone to work in the fields. He checked the ti; it was only afternoon, so there was still a while before she would be back. After a mont's thought, he decided to take a short nap and then make dinner for her.
I've been away so often lately. My sister-in-law has been managing everything inside and outside the house all by herself. Now that I'm back, it's ti I lent a hand.
With that in mind, Liu Ergou took out his phone, set an alarm for two hours, and went to rest.
Two hours passed in a flash. The alarm went off, waking the sleeping Liu Ergou.
He sat up, rubbed his eyes in a daze, and then rembered he had to cook for Xu Yulan. He got out of bed and went to prepare dinner. However, when he surveyed the kitchen, he found it was sparkling clean but completely empty. It was so bare that a rat would enter and leave in tears.
This put him in a difficult position. Nevertheless, he put so rice on to cook and prepared to go to the village's general store to pick up a few things to make do.
Just as Liu Ergou stepped out of his yard, Feng Chunling happened to co out of hers. The mont she saw him, she greeted him enthusiastically.
"Hey, Er Gou, where have you been these past two days! I haven't seen you at all!" she said. "Have you eaten? If not, co over to my place for a bite. Yang i happens to be ho!"
Without giving him a chance to respond, Feng Chunling grabbed his arm and began pulling him toward her house. And just like that, a bewildered Liu Ergou was dragged into her ho.
Sitting on the sofa, Liu Ergou tried to explain that he needed to go back and cook for his sister-in-law, who was still waiting for him. But Feng Chunling gave him no chance to speak, sitting directly on his lap. Her clothes were very thin, just a single layer, and even through the fabric, Liu Ergou felt a distinct sensation.
Now I get it. No wonder she insisted on dragging here; she had ulterior motives. Well, in that case, there's no need for to be polite. I am a little hungry today, after all. I'll just have Feng Chunling as an appetizer.
With that thought, Liu Ergou stopped holding back. He reached out and wrapped his arms around Feng Chunling's curvaceous waist. The sudden touch made her giggle.
Just as Liu Ergou was about to make his move, Yang i's voice suddenly ca from the other room.
"Mom, what's wrong? Why are you laughing so happily all of a sudden? Did sothing fun happen?"
Her words were followed by the sound of approaching footsteps.
Hearing the sound, Liu Ergou's expression instantly darkened. He glared at Feng Chunling and whispered in a voice only they could hear, "Auntie, what is the aning of this! You knew Yang i was ho, yet you still brought here. What are you trying to pull!"
Startled by his dark expression, Feng Chunling hastily explained, "Er Gou, hush! We can talk about this later; I have sothing else to say! Please, I'm begging you!"
As she spoke, Feng Chunling put on a pleading expression. After all, no one wants their indiscretions exposed. If sothing like this got out, it would be a disaster, enough to ruin one's reputation completely.
Seeing her pleading look, Liu Ergou snorted coldly. Although he was seething with rage, he wasn't the type to use soone and walk away. He pushed her down onto the sofa, then composed himself to look as if nothing had happened.
Feng Chunling was no fool. She understood his aning and shot him a grateful look before she, too, pretended that nothing was amiss.
Just as they composed themselves, Yang i erged from the room in slippers, rubbing her eyes. She was wearing a thin nightgown that perfectly showcased her seductive figure, making Liu Ergou's eyes practically burn with desire.
When Yang i saw Liu Ergou on the sofa, her expression instantly soured. "Mom, what's Liu Ergou doing in our house!" she said irritably. "Did you invite him over? Haven't I told you before? Don't let him co here for no reason. I don't like him, so tell him to stay away from !"
Hearing this, Feng Chunling imdiately scolded her. "Yang i, how can you talk to your Brother Er Gou like that! Let tell you, I specifically asked him to co over to help with your job situation! And here you are, not only ungrateful but also saying such nasty things. You're going too far!"
At her mother's rebuke, Yang i pouted deeply, her face screaming 'unhappy'.
I just got back. All I want is to rest for a few days before I even think about my next job. But no, I've only been resting for three or four days, and now I'm being dragged into talking about work.
The more she thought about it, the unhappier she beca, but with her mother present, she didn't dare say more. With a sullen expression, she flopped onto the sofa and shot Liu Ergou a hostile glare.
Liu Ergou sneered inwardly at her expression. Here I am, arranging a job for her, and she's acting like so entitled princess. If it weren't for Feng Chunling, I wouldn't bother with her at all. Why waste my ti on such a thankless task? Hmph! I'd like to see how long she can keep up this arrogance. She should know this is my turf now. If I want her, I'm sure I can have her. Let's see if she still has this attitude when that ti cos!
Feng Chunling noticed the tense atmosphere between Liu Ergou and her daughter. She took the initiative and said to Yang i, "Can you stop pouting? Your Brother Er Gou is here to arrange a job for you, not to collect a debt! Do you hear , Yang i?"
After saying this, she turned her head to look at Liu Ergou.
