Chapter 1362: Chapter 1359: Skye Gave Birth!?
“What did you say, Skye gave birth!?”
Lily looked puzzled. Wasn’t Skye’s due date next month?
The last ti she had called to check in, Roger Chamberlain and David Redington had told her that Skye was all well.
“Lily, I’m sorry…” David spoke apologetically, “Brother lied to you.”
“In fact, the reason I delayed my trip to Eastonia by a few days was to deal with Skye’s situation.”
David was originally supposed to have been on a private jet to Eastonia a week ago, but on the way, he suddenly received news that an unexpected accident had happened to Skye.
To deal with Skye’s situation, the plane had to turn back midway.
He was afraid Lily would worry, so he and Roger Chamberlain agreed to keep it all from Lily.
That was also why David arrived in Eastonia a week late.
“Lily, if you can keep calm, I’m willing to tell you the whole truth. But you have to stay calm.”
David looked intently into Lily’s eyes.
He could feel Lily’s concern for her friend, but obviously, he cared more about his sister.
Although David didn’t like Aidan Lucas, he was more worried that Lily, because of her agitation, might miscarry.
“Brother, go ahead, I’m prepared.”
After enduring such cruel treatnt from Aidan Lucas, she hadn’t had a miscarriage, and Lily felt her ntal resilience was much stronger than before.
“Skye accidentally fell down the stairs during a confrontation with Mrs. Wellington, which triggered premature labor.”
“Wha-what…” Lily almost jumped out of bed.
David cald her down, “Lily, you promised not to get agitated.”
“Brother, it’s not… but this ans Skye, she…” Lily was so worried she could hardly sit still, “And Mrs. Wellington, which Mrs. Wellington? Could it be Dylan Wellington’s mother?”
David nodded gently, “Yes, it’s Dylan Wellington’s mother.”
“Mrs. Wellington sohow found out Skye was pregnant. She ca to Europe personally, frequently arranging to et Skye, hoping she would return to Eastonia with her to secure her pregnancy and then hand over the child to the Wellington family.”
“This child belongs to Skye, how could she… also, Skye had lost her mory, she couldn’t possibly have agreed.”
“Yes, exactly because of this, the confrontation happened. And it was because of this confrontation that Skye lost her footing and rolled down the stairs.”
Hearing David’s words, Lily felt an intense wave of regret and distress.
She had promised to co back and seek justice for Skye, but because Dylan Wellington had disappeared, she had pushed this to the back of her mind.
Instead, she got tangled up with Aidan Lucas and even… even…
David couldn’t bear to see Lily bla herself.
He consoled his sister, “This isn’t your fault, it’s Mrs. Wellington’s problem. And Dylan Wellington is also to bla.”
“Yes, Dylan Wellington…” Reminded by David, Lily also rembered Dylan Wellington.
Aidan Lucas hadn’t told her about Dylan Wellington’s whereabouts, yet she had not expected David to encounter Dylan Wellington in Europe.
Dylan Wellington had pretended to be Skye’s neighbor and appeared around her.
Had David not bumped into him and told Roger Chamberlain his true identity, Dylan Wellington might have successfully infiltrated Skye’s life.
“Where is Dylan Wellington? Did he just watch as Skye suffered?”
“Dylan Wellington was taken away by his grandpa early on.”
“Not only that, Lily…” David looked at Lily, his tone grave, “After Skye fell down the stairs, she has been unconscious until now. Even the child was surgically removed by the doctor.”
“Skye… no, I have to go back to Europe to see her!”
