Sadie stomped out of the Lucas family’s mansion, huffing with anger.
Just about to call David Redington, she took out her cell phone only to see a black Bentley approach from not too far away.
Sadie squinted her eyes slightly.
She recognized that car; it belonged to Aidan Lucas.
Mr. Lucas had actually returned in advance!!!
Her eyes lighting up, Sadie was just about to flag down the car when Emily Taylor’s words flashed through her mind.
What crap, to talk about their Young Lady like that is practically an insult to the Young Lady’s personal character.
Displeased with Emily Taylor, and consequently having a negative view of the Lucas family, she hid herself under a nearby tree, concealing her presence.

“Madam, the young master has returned!” Ellie received the report from the gatekeeper and imdiately ran to inform Emily Taylor.
“Aidan… How co so early…” Emily Taylor was a bit stupefied, Aidan Lucas had returned earlier than planned, and she hadn’t yet figured out how to conceal Lily’s whereabouts.
“Madam, the Young Master is about to enter, maybe you should just tell him.”
Ellie truly didn’t understand Emily Taylor’s thoughts; the Young Lady had gone missing – such a serious matter, yet why she still wanted to keep it from the Young Master.
Not to ntion, the child in the Young Lady’s belly is the Young Master’s.
Ellie was unaware that, although Emily Taylor dearly loved her grandchildren, in her eyes, only Mr. Lucas was truly ‘flesh of her flesh.’
She loved her grandchildren, but she loved her son even more.
“No, it can’t be done; we absolutely can’t let Aidan find out. If Aidan knew, he would surely go looking for her… and if by chance, he catches them in bed together …”
Emily Taylor dared not continue the thought, the wife of the head of the Lucas family caught in an affair with an heir of a branch of the Lucas family would be a trendous scandal.
Especially now, during such a critical period, people from Theodore Lucas’s side would certainly use this incident to attack Aidan.
“But…” Ellie wanted to persuade her again, but she already heard footsteps coming from outside the door.
“There’s no ‘but’. Aidan is here… Ellie, keep your mouth shut!” Emily Taylor ordered Ellie, then forced a smile on her face as she went out to greet him.

“Aidan, how co you arrived so much earlier than planned? You must be tired from flying; co inside and rest. I’ll have Ellie make you so soup to fill your stomach…”
“No need, Mom.” Aidan Lucas took off his overcoat and handed it to Ellie, “Where are Lily, Lulu, and Abbie? I haven’t seen them around?”
He had rushed through two all-nighters in order to finish his work early, just to see Lily sooner.
He originally wanted to surprise Lily, but upon returning ho, he couldn’t find any trace of her.
His black pupils beca slightly darker, to say he wasn’t disappointed would be a lie.
“Uh… Lulu and Abbie are out playing in the garden, and Lily… Lily went to David Redington’s. She said she’s visiting the set today and might stay at the movie studio tonight, returning tomorrow.”
Emily Taylor couldn’t find any other excuse on the spot and could only give Lily’s original schedule.
Mr. Lucas had spoken briefly on the phone with Lily last night and heard her ntion planning to visit David Redington’s set, so he was not suspicious.
However, a man’s jealousy is often habitual; hearing that his beloved wife had left him to visit her brother, his gaze darkened a bit more.
He asked with a cold voice, “Knowing that I would return tonight, why is she staying over there?”
“That, maybe David misses his sister.” Facing her son’s skeptical gaze, Emily Taylor’s explanation was sowhat far-fetched.
“You know, they have always been very close as siblings.”
Emily Taylor still didn’t know, just because of this statent, she had completely ignited her son’s jealousy.
Mr. Lucas snorted coldly and turned back to call out to Ellie.
“Ellie, bring the overcoat, I will not stay at ho tonight.”
Tonight, he would head to the movie studio, to confront his beloved wife.
