"You’re not staying at ho, where are you planning to go?" Emily Taylor grabbed Mr. Lucas, panic evident in her eyes.
Mr. Lucas took the overcoat handed to him by Ellie and said nonchalantly, "Of course, I’ll be wherever Lily is. Mom, I’m staying at the movie studio tonight and won’t be coming back."
"You... you’re staying at the movie studio?!"
Emily Taylor almost fainted, she had never expected her son, upon learning that Lily wasn’t ho, would make such a decision.
If she had known earlier, she would have made up a location further away.
"What, is there a problem?" Mr. Lucas donned his overcoat and then finally cast his eyes downwards towards Emily Taylor.
That glance was enough to see the fearful and uneasy expression in Emily Taylor’s eyes.
"No, no problem... of course no problem..." Emily’s eyes darted left and right, as she thought about how to keep her son at ho.
Mr. Lucas narrowed his eyes slightly and asked in a deep voice, "What’s wrong, Mom? You look pale."
"I, oh, it’s nothing... just felt a bit dizzy this morning, the doctor ca and told to drink more milk before sleeping recently. By the way Aidan... you didn’t see Lulu and Abbie when you ca back, the little lads have missed you. Why don’t you spend so ti with them first and go to the movie studio to find Lily tomorrow?"
Emily Taylor thought that using the children would definitely make Aidan Lucas stay.
But she greatly underestimated Lily’s allure to Mr. Lucas.
To him, even his children couldn’t compare to his little one.
"No need, they won’t run away, and seeing them when I co back won’t be too late."
Going one day without seeing the children was bearable, but delaying seeing Lily even by a day was unbearable for him.

He knew his own mother well; Emily Taylor was generally fine but tended to be too credulous, easily swayed by others’ words.
"Aidan, is this the tone you should use when talking to your mother? I am your mother, how can you not believe what I say? You’re really disappointing !"
Emily Taylor, feeling guilty, tried to suppress Mr. Lucas using her seniority.
But this only made Mr. Lucas more suspicious.
His expression completely cooled down, his voice turned distinctly cold and distant: "Mom, I’m not a fool, your words are inconsistent and full of loopholes. One mont you say Lily will be back tomorrow, the next mont you want to go to the movie studio to find her tomorrow. If I’m not mistaken, Lily isn’t at the movie studio at all."
As Mr. Lucas spoke, a clear outline of the entire situation erged in his mind.
"You’re intentionally hiding Lily’s whereabouts, are you doing this because you don’t want to worry?"
Mr. Lucas analyzed calmly, "Lily must be in so trouble... tell where she is now, I need to know now!"
Emily Taylor was completely silenced by Mr. Lucas’s words.
She never expected that her son would analyze the situation so accurately with just a few words.
Knowing she could no longer keep it from him, Emily Taylor had no choice but to reveal the whole truth.
After explaining what happened, she complained to Aidan Lucas, "I knew there was sothing wrong between her and Austin Lucas all along, but I kept quiet for the sake of the children. I thought Lily would tone it down eventually, but she just beca more reckless... I should have shown her the anonymous ssage I received back then and made her explain it to ."
