Chapter 1679: Chapter 1682: Listening Device Discovered
Mr. Lucas saw that Lily had already caught Lulu, who had been pushed away, and the icy sharpness between his brows softened slightly.
He took the Transforrs toy from Charles Taylor’s hand, frowned, and asked, “What’s broken?”
Although it was wrong for Charles Taylor to act out, it seed like Lulu might have caused the trouble.
The feeling of losing loved ones is hard to bear.
Mr. Lucas knew this, so he would try his best to help Charles Taylor fix the robot.
Charles Taylor had always been intimidated by his cousin, Mr. Lucas, and upon hearing the question, he imdiately started sobbing pitifully with tears brimming in his eyes. “Wha… water… got in. My Transforrs toy can’t transform anymore. Lulu, my little niece, she took my Transforrs to the bath. She… she… waaaah…”
As Charles spoke, he started crying again.
Mr. Lucas disliked this brat’s crying the most. He picked him up and casually grabbed so snacks from the table to block his mouth.
“Shut up, eat.”
Charles was shocked, but facing his cousin’s stern gaze, he could only choke back sobs and quietly nibble on the snacks.
Seeing that Charles had cald down, Mr. Lucas’ expression improved slightly. “Be good and eat sothing. Cousin will fix it for you.”
Charles didn’t dare make a sound. Though he doubted his cousin’s craftsmanship, he was sensible enough to shut his mouth.
Mr. Lucas placed the Transforrs on the table, examined it briefly, and said, “It seems it just got water inside. If you leave it on the balcony to dry out, it should be fine.”
He turned to the little pink dumpling. “Lulu, how long did you soak this?”
Little Lulu had just been comforted by her mother and said pitifully, “Daddy, Lulu only wiped it with a damp towel; then Abbie took the Transforrs away. He said Transforrs can’t take baths, but, but… shortly after he took it, he ca back and soaked it in the bathtub. Waaah… it wasn’t Lulu who bathed the Transforrs. Lulu didn’t do it.”
The little girl looked utterly aggrieved. She had only wanted to clean the Transforrs, not soak it.
It was Naughty Anna! It was Anna who snatched the robot and suddenly brought it back, throwing it into the water.

Though Anna was mischievous and bold, Lily always felt Anna wouldn’t bully Charles Taylor for no reason.
She was just about to comfort Lulu and go talk to Anna when Anna, holding his tablet, walked downstairs with a dark face.
“Anna, what’s wrong…”
Before Lily could finish her sentence, Anna interrupted her, “Mom, you and Dad better explain to what ‘second personality’ ans. Also, Charles Taylor—he barged into our house and put a listening device in the toys. Who arranged that? If you can’t explain it clearly, you’d better kick him out.”
Anna’s gaze was icy cold, and his deep blue eyes flashed with intense displeasure.
He had seen Lulu wipe the robot with a damp towel and had kindly tried to ‘rescue’ it for Charles. However, he accidentally discovered its hidden secrets.
Upon finding the listening device, Anna was furious and threw Charles’ Transforrs directly into the bathtub.
Lily and Mr. Lucas were both stunned by Anna’s words.
But when their eyes t, they simultaneously noticed an opportunity.
“Anna, calm down… Mommy will take you upstairs, and we’ll talk slowly.” Lily, imitating Mr. Lucas, grabbed so snacks from the table and stuffed them into Lulu’s mouth.
Little Lulu’s eyes lit up at the sight of food, and her earlier grievance instantly disappeared.
The silly Lulu and Charles Taylor were left downstairs.
anwhile, Lily and Mr. Lucas listened to the copied recording on Anna’s tablet upstairs.
After hearing the recording, Lily furrowed her brow. “Mom really didn’t lie. She just grumbled a little and never said those things. But this recording clearly ntions the second personality. Why wasn’t it in Theodore’s recording?”
