After hearing Tania Scott’s words, Sylvia Scott and Lily exchanged a glance, both catching a flicker of astonishnt in each other’s eyes.
Evelyn Lucas actually harbored an illicit affection for Nolan Lucas, and she didn’t even bother to conceal it in front of Tara Hammond?
Tara Hammond is the mother of Evelyn Lucas and Nolan Lucas. Even with her bias toward her daughter, it’s impossible for her to condone such feelings between them.

“Tania, this is a small matter,” Sylvia said in a faint tone, her gaze toward Tania unreadable.
Deep down, she didn’t entirely trust Tania. At the very least, Tania’s approach couldn’t possibly be purely for the sake of the child.
Sylvia spoke without giving anything away: “If you want to protect this child, it’s actually very simple—just stay by your parents’ side. In a mont, I’ll arrange for soone to take you to the airport. Once you’re back in B City, Theodore Lucas wouldn’t dare to snatch soone from your father.”
“No, Aunt… It’s not just about keeping the child…”

“I want revenge. I still want revenge! They’ve crossed the line, treating , Tania Scott, like a fool to be toyed with. I loved Nolan Lucas so deeply, and yet he trampled on my love like dirt. Tara Hammond wants to steal my child, and Evelyn Lucas wants to steal my husband. I can’t just leave like this—I can’t let them off so easily…”
Clutching her stomach, Tania’s tear-filled eyes burned with a hysterical madness.
The deeper her love had been, the deeper her wounds were now.
No one could give selflessly without limits. She had abandoned her parents, abandoned everything for Nolan Lucas.
But in the end, faced with the rciless truth, her spirit was utterly shattered.
“Fine. You don’t want to let them go? I can help you,” Lily, who had been silent this whole ti, said coolly.
“But there’s risk involved. If they find out…”
“I’m not afraid of danger!” Tania lifted her head, her tear-streaked yet steadfast eyes brimming with hatred. “I’m not afraid of any danger. If I hadn’t uncovered their sches, I would’ve already died on the operating table. Now, I’ve already gained sothing!”
If she were to die, then she’d die with her child.
After all, she had nothing left.
She had let her father down, let her mother down, and lost all familial bonds.
The only thing she had left was the son in her womb. She knew her son would understand her decision—this was her way of avenging them both.
Seeing the resoluteness in Tania’s eyes, a subtle warmth flickered between Lily’s brows.
Fine, she thought. I’ll help this woman—consider it helping myself too.
“Don’t worry—it’s not particularly dangerous. As long as you’re careful, you can avoid any involvent. Wait for here…”
Saying this, Lily got up and left the study room.
After so ti, she returned with a tiny black chip.
“If you get the chance, find a way to place this in Tara Hammond’s cell phone. Safety first—don’t push yourself too hard.”
Tania took the chip from Lily’s hand and asked blankly, “This is… a listening device?”
Lily nodded.
“To eavesdrop on Tara Hammond?” Tania frowned. “If we’re going to eavesdrop, shouldn’t we target Theodore Lucas, Nolan Lucas, or even Evelyn Lucas? Tara Hammond doesn’t hold much sway in the Lucas family. She doesn’t involve herself in much, and her nature seems rather soft. I doubt she could provide any critical information.”
One had to admit, Tara Hammond had hidden her true self well.
Even though Tania had lived under the sa roof with them, she’d rely thought Tara indulged her daughter and harbored poisonous intent toward her, her daughter-in-law.
At her core, however, Tania hadn’t taken Tara seriously.
Lily, unsure of Tania’s loyalty, did not reveal the suspicions they harbored.
She simply said in an unruffled tone, “I have my reasons for asking you to do this. Just follow through—you can trust that if you succeed, the entire Lucas family will face the consequences they deserve. Once they fall, no one will take your child after it’s born.”
