The cell phone vibrated on the table.
Skye Brown glanced at it and saw the caller was Dylan Wellington.
Yesterday at the dinner, today taking Molly away... so many things, knowing she couldn’t avoid them, Skye once again looked at the happily eating Molly.
She picked up the cell phone and left the restaurant, going to the balcony to take the call.
"Hello..."
"Skye, why can’t you just stay put in the villa?"
As soon as the call was picked up, Dylan Wellington’s cold and distant voice transmitted through the receiver.
"I..."
"You should be clear, our relationship is just a transaction." Dylan Wellington’s deep, cold voice interrupted Skye.
He warned in a low voice: "You’re still in the probation period, and your performance last night at the dinner was exceedingly poor. According to the teacher, I’m doubtful whether to continue maintaining our transaction. Now, I’ve just finished work, only to receive a report of your mishap—"
At this point, Dylan paused his breath, indifferently saying: "If this continues, Skye... our transaction ends here. I don’t want a woman who won’t behave."
The icy three words, ’I don’t want.’
Like it was a final verdict for Skye.
What’s more absurd to Skye, was the long speech Dylan delivered over the phone.
Blaming her for causing trouble? Saying she didn’t perform well last night?
A call cos in, asking nothing but imdiately accusing her, asking why she can’t obediently stay in the villa?
Heh... is that villa of theirs fit for anyone to stay in!
Skye had always been mindful of Dylan’s lost mory, mindful of what Lily told her, about Dylan being forced to part and almost starving himself to death, choosing not to forget her.
Such a Dylan moved her, so she tolerated everything upon knowing the truth.
Lowered her status and approached him with a ’scheming woman’ image, willing to play that ridiculous ’transaction ga’ just to stay by his side.
But a person’s tolerance is limited.
Even if he lost his mory and lacks past recollections, does he also lack normal logical judgent?
Their servant bullies Molly, bullies her, and yet she can’t take Molly away?
Instead, this man who once loved her deeply chooses to believe one-sided stories, and cos to accuse her!
Skye was furious, and Dylan was no different.
She didn’t know what Mr. Wellington was angry about — though Mr. Wellington flew to B City, his heart has never been at peace.
On the private jet, Dylan Wellington countless tis wanted to call back to inquire about Skye’s situation.
Last night, by the side of the drunken Skye, he vowed that he was not the little wolfhound Skye ntioned.
But in no ti, he actually wanted to be like a genuinely warm little wolfhound, without any love component, to hold Skye, gently embrace her drunken state.
Like a couple in a close relationship, patiently coaxing this woman who behaves foolishly when drunk.
Even though she ignited the desires within him extensively last night, Dylan Wellington surprisingly did not make any inappropriate moves towards Skye.
This was too rare for Mr. Wellington, so rare that he was afraid of himself.
As soon as Daisy notified him that business in B City needed attending to, he found an excuse and ’fled in panic’ without hesitation.
At this mont, on the other end of the phone, Dylan Wellington was focused with his captivating almond-shaped eyes, coldly lecturing Skye.
And beside him on the video interface, Mr. Stephenson, who was just pompously acting in the villa, appears on the screen.
From Dylan’s viewpoint, he could see the person he sent over angrily reprimanding Mr. Stephenson.
"I don’t want it anyway..." At this mont, Skye’s soft voice ca through from the other side of the call.
"Dylan Wellington, I was just about to tell you, I’m fed up — you don’t want , I don’t give a damn about wanting you. Dylan Wellington, Skye Brown is now telling you clearly, I don’t want you anymore! Goodbye, our collaboration has ended! Oh, no, not goodbye, but never see you again!"
After saying that, the call was abruptly hung up by Skye.
Only the ’beep beep beep’ busy tone ca through from the other end of the phone.
Dylan Wellington: "..."
