At that instant, a flood of emotions crashed into my heart.
One of them was relief, knowing he wasn’t truly dead. He was probably already back in our room.
But rage quickly followed, boiling in my chest after seeing my friend stabbed like that.
I gripped Indra, now in gun form, and summoned the Gaia Sword in my left hand.
Without hesitation, I charged forward toward Gazelle.

I slashed at him and fired simultaneously. Every strike, every shot, was fast, far too fast for an average person to follow.
Gazelle’s sarcastic smile began to fade. He quickly shifted to full defense, focusing on dodging my attacks.
Ping! Ping!
The sound of clashing blades rang out. Gazelle deflected every bullet I fired and blocked every slash I threw at him.
I suddenly stepped back, then dashed to the side.
Gazelle mirrored , running parallel, never breaking focus.
I fired again, casting [Iron Spike Bullets] as I moved. He swatted the tal projectiles aside with his blade.
Then he raised his gun, a sleek weapon with a sharp, curved design that resembled a crow’s beak at the barrel. Without hesitation, he aid it straight at and pulled the trigger.

Normally, in my Hero Grace form, I could clearly track any projectile fired at as my enhanced senses and reaction speed made it almost effortless. So I was already preparing to deflect the bullet with Indra.

"Argh!" I cried out, grabbing my left arm.
The bullet had hit directly, blood splattered and began dripping down my hand, pooling onto the ground.

Gazelle didn’t give ti to think, he kept firing. I dashed to the side, trying to avoid becoming an easy target. He chased after without hesitation.
And I wasn’t exaggerating, he was fast.
Even against soone using Hero Grace... he was keeping up.
"Damn it! He’s too strong!" I muttered through gritted teeth.
This, this was by far the strongest enemy I’d faced in this world. He was on another level. Far beyond what we were ready to handle right now.
As I kept moving, suddenly the glowing aura around flickered, then vanished entirely.
A wave of exhaustion hit like a wall, dragging my limbs down.

I groaned in agony as I could feel my organs tearing apart inside .
"Too weak," Gazelle said with a sneer. "But at least you gave so fun."
Blood dripped from my mouth.
But then, I looked up. My eyes locked onto his.
With my left hand, I grabbed the blade.
My blood gushed out, but I didn’t let go.
His smirk faded. He tried to pull the sword out, but I held firm, gripping the blade tightly, bleeding and trembling, but refusing to let him go.
"What are you doing?!" Gazelle’s voice finally cracked, a trace of panic leaking through.
My mouth curved into a grin, blood running down my chin.
"If I go down... you’re coming with ."
The [Granitecracker Bomb] in my right hand began to shine, glowing brighter and brighter before...
BOOM!
And then, everything went black.

The dust from the explosion began to settle, carried away by the wind.
Standing in the middle of the fading smoke... a lone figure erged. It was cloaked in wings, charred and smoldering, but still intact.
Slowly, the figure unfurled its wings, and scorched feathers drifted down like ash.
Gazelle looked down at his wings, then calmly raised his hands.

With a firm pull, he tore both wings from his body and threw them aside. His face remained expressionless.
"To think that man had a skill like that up his sleeve..." he muttered. "If not for my wings, I would’ve been obliterated."
He turned and began to walk into the darkness, his steps unhurried.
"I can’t wait to et them again," he said with a wide, chilling smile.
The air around him grew heavy, thick with killing intent.

My butt hit the floor.
I quickly looked around, then imdiately checked my body. No holes. No blood. And no pain.
I let out a sigh of relief. Thankfully, the effects from that arena didn’t carry over to this world.
Bob was doing the sa, frantically patting himself down with a panicked look on his face. It seed we got teleported back to this world at the sa ti, even though he died first.
I stood up and grabbed so water, handing a bottle to Bob.
"That was totally terrifying, dude! I really thought I was gonna die for real!" Bob said with a nervous smile as he chugged the water.
I just stared at him sharply.
"I told you to pick a low-rarity monster. That winged thing was insanely strong. I couldn’t even touch him in Hero Grace form."
Then I paused, thinking.
If that monster was only Super Rare... I can’t even imagine what horrors we’ll face from Ultra Rare and beyond.
And deep down, a chilling realization crept into my mind...
It like Gazelle... he wasn’t even trying his best against us.
