Cultivating the Rules of Destruction?

Gran had originally wanted to stay and watch whether his little brother could completely overco his berserk problem, but Whis and Beerus pushed him away from the area.

Ten years was far too short. They couldn't afford to waste another mont.

And so, over the next few days, Whis instructed Gran to stabilize his ntal and physical state.

During that ti of adjustnt, little Broly finally woke up.

The mont he awakened, he nearly lost control again.

Before he fell unconscious, Gran had been gripping his father's throat, and he assud his father had been killed.

Fortunately, Gran brought him to see Paragus in person. Only then did Broly believe that Gran hadn't killed his father.

However…

Broly's sudden burst of rage this ti allowed the Elder Kai and the others to witness firsthand how terrifying the physique of Odys truly was.

He hadn't even entered the pale-green state, yet his power had already skyrocketed to such an absurd degree.

If he transford into that pale-green state, he would absolutely beco a god-of-war-level being.

Of course, while Broly's power was god-like, once he lost control, he would have no rationality—only pure killing instinct.

In Beerus' eyes, that was just the behavior of a lower-tier race.

Ti passed, and three days went by.

Gran had nearly finished stabilizing himself, while Broly continued staying in the Realm of the Kaioshin.

When Broly first woke up, he had wanted to return to follow his father.

But Gran told him that only in the Realm of the Kaioshin could he resolve the root of his berserk condition.

Because of the harsh survival environnt on Planet Vampa, Broly's personality—aside from his berserk rages—was extrely pure.

He was pure… but he wasn't stupid.

He was already over ten years old; of course he understood his own situation.

So he listened to Gran's advice and stayed in the Kaioshin Realm.

And in these few days living there, Broly finally understood what Gran ant by "delicious food."

It turned out that aside from monster corpses and eggs, this world actually had other edible things.

Their flavors were indescribable—perhaps exactly what his big brother Gran had called "delicious."

"Broly, co eat this. This one tastes good."

Under a great tree was a dining table where Shin and the Elder Kai continued feeding Broly.

There were divine fruits, divine spring water, and various foods Gran had brought back from Earth…

"Th-thank you… both Kaioshin-sama."

Broly had even learned so basic manners during these days.

anwhile, on the lakeside—

Gran, Beerus, and Whis were all standing there.

"You seem like you still can't stop worrying about Broly," Whis observed.

Gran was silent for a mont, then asked,

"Whis… Elder Kaioshin ntioned the Super Wish Orbs. Isn't it possible to make a wish to the Super Dragon for sothing like…"

He hadn't finished.

Whis cut him off:

"You want to say—letting Broly retain his rationality even in extre berserk mode, right?"

Gran froze. He hadn't expected Whis to guess so quickly.

Whis patted his shoulder with a small smile.

"Back then you made several outrageous wishes on Planet Nak, didn't you? Like obtaining an immortal body that even Lord Zeno couldn't erase."

"…"

Gran felt slightly embarrassed. He had only wanted to tease that bragging dragon at the ti…

"Power obtained through external ans is not the correct path of cultivation."

Whis continued, "The sa applies to Broly. Relying on external power to retain rationality ultimately isn't a long-term solution."

"That's why Elder Kaioshin didn't bring up that kind of wish again—because it's unreliable…"

He hadn't even finished.

This ti Gran cut him off:

"You're saying the Super Wish Orbs have a problem?"

Beerus narrowed his eyes at that, and the atmosphere by the lake turned delicate.

Whis was silent for a mont, then shook his head.

"The Super Wish Orbs themselves are fine. I only an that depending on external power is not a true solution."

Gran exhaled with relief. For a mont he really thought there was a problem with the Super Dragon Balls.

"In that case, I still think it's worth using the Super Dragon first."

Gran had finally noticed it:

Neither Elder Kaioshin nor Whis liked relying on external ans.

But without external help, could Broly's condition really be resolved?

"We can let the Super Dragon grant Broly the ability to retain his rationality while berserk. Later, once he enters the Tower of Dinsions—"

"When his dinsional level reaches a certain height, maybe his ntal strength alone will be enough to control himself without the Super Dragon's help."

Gran laid out his thoughts.

Then he added,

"Since the Super Wish Orbs can reasonably exist in this world… it makes no sense to refuse to use them at all."

Whis and Beerus exchanged a glance.

Well… he had a point.

"Very well. After the Reserve God of Destruction Battle is over, we'll search for the Super Dragon Balls," Whis decided.

"Huh? You agreed that easily?" Gran's eyes widened.

"You're correct. Since the Super Wish Orbs exist, they can indeed be used."

Whis seed to have figured sothing out as he said this.

"That's great!"

Gran looked happily toward Broly under the tree—his little brother would finally be freed from the tornt of losing control.

"Gran."

Whis spoke again.

Gran quickly turned back.

Whis said solemnly,

"Broly may use the Super Wish Orbs—but you must not."

Beerus added sternly,

"With your talent, you will inevitably surpass everything one day. You absolutely cannot use the Super Dragon. You must not leave any weakness for others to exploit."

In fact, when dealing with Broly earlier, they had subconsciously treated him as if he were Gran.

After all, the legends of Odys were so exaggerated.

So when considering solutions for Broly, they insisted on never relying on external forces.

But they had forgotten

Even Odys did not possess Gran's limitless potential.

Gran's talent outstripped anyone.

So when solving Broly's problem, they no longer needed to obsess over such concerns.

Use external power? Fine. Leave a weakness? Fine.

Once Gran grew strong, no one would dare touch his little brother.

Their seriousness startled Gran.

Was there really sothing wrong with the Super Dragon?

He nodded firmly.

"Don't worry. I'm not that stupid."

"Then let's begin cultivating the Rules of Destruction."

Whis and Beerus said nothing more.

With Broly's issue now under control, Gran's mind was completely clear—he entered a perfect state instantly.

Beerus was very satisfied with Gran's quick adjustnt.

Hands behind his back, looking over the lake, he said:

"Back on Earth, I told you—if you want to cultivate the Rules of Destruction, you must first reach the selfless state of mind: the first tier."

"And you've already surpassed that."

As he spoke, Beerus couldn't help smiling.

Less than ten years remained before the Reserve Destroyer Battle.

Ti was fixed.

He didn't believe the other universes' candidates could reach the selfless state in such a short ti.

Even if they did, he didn't believe they could cultivate the Rules of Destruction in that tifra.

But his own Gran?

Beerus was confident—Gran would absolutely master it.

Imagining the other Destroyers' faces filled Beerus with smug delight.

"What are you smiling at, Beerus-sama? You suddenly stopped talking," Gran asked suspiciously.

"What else would he be thinking about?"

Whis chuckled, tapping his staff.

"He's imagining his rivals' faces when they see you wield the Rules of Destruction."

"Whis! You talk too much!"

Beerus glared.

Having spent so long together, Whis could guess what he was thinking just by the way he breathed.

So annoying!

"All right."

Beerus picked up a small stone from the ground.

"Your state of mind is satisfactory. Now watch carefully—this is destruction."

The small stone floated into the air. Beerus placed his fingertip against it.

Gran focused intensely on every detail.

Suddenly

Boom!

The stone detonated with a violent burst of energy.

A windstorm swept across the Kaioshin Realm, rattling the leaves of the great tree.

Elder Kai and the others looked over.

Was the training finally beginning?

"Destruction is not simply crushing a thing with your ki," Beerus explained.

"It is turning sothing from one… into zero."

He picked up another pebble and handed it to Gran.

"Did you understand?"

Gran accepted it silently.

His body loosened—as though slipping into a deep-sleep state.

"It's starting again!" Beerus whispered.

Every ti Gran learned a new martial art, he entered this strange state.

And in that state—he mastered things frighteningly fast.

"Whis, what is this state?" Beerus asked enviously.

"I don't know. I only care how long he'll take to comprehend destruction," Whis said.

"How long do you think he'll need?"

"To comprehend it—just comprehension?

Given his talent… not long at all."

Whis stroked his smooth chin.

"He reached Half-Selfless in one year. I'd say… three days."

"Three days? I bet half a month," Beerus countered, sitting cross-legged.

Although this was only comprehension—not full cultivation

Three days was still too ridiculous.

Ti passed quietly.

Gran ditated.

Beerus napped.

Whis observed.

An hour passed.

Suddenly

Gran's eyes snapped open.

Beerus jumped to his feet.

No way—so fast?!

Whis remained calm. His intuition said Gran had not succeeded yet.

And indeed

"Whis," Gran said, "Beerus-sama said destruction is turning sothing into zero. But when I watched it… why did the stone release a burst of energy?"

Beerus imdiately relaxed—and also felt a little disappointed.

He hadn't mastered it yet.

"Sharp observation," Whis said.

He took the pebble from Gran's palm.

"The instant it is destroyed, it does release a large amount of energy."

Then he made the pebble explode—exactly like Beerus.

But afterward, nothing remained.

As if the stone had never existed.

"The energy burst cos from the stone itself—it contains energy. When you turn it into zero, that energy returns to the universe."

"I see!" Gran nodded.

Then he frowned.

"Wait—when Beerus-sama destroyed a planet, it didn't release a huge burst of energy."

Beerus' expression imdiately grew smug.

"That's because I've long cultivated destruction to a far higher level."

"Ah?"

Gran blinked.

Whis shot Beerus a glare.

Acting smug and not even explaining—what was there to be proud of?

"What we just showed you was beginner-level destruction," Whis said.

"It isn't yet a rule—only an imitation that produces a destructive effect."

He raised his hand.

A silver light flashed in his palm—ti itself reversed.

The destroyed pebble reappeared.

Ti manipulation.

"This—this is true destruction."

A purple light burst from Whis' palm—pure, terrifying.

Hum

The pebble dissolved into stardust, without a sound or ripple.

"The Rules of Destruction have nine stages. Once you reach the first stage, you will no longer produce energy waves while destroying sothing."

"To master destruction, your heart must not harbor anger, frustration, or vengeance. You must be thoughtless, emotionless, focused only on destruction."

"Any questions?"

Whis lifted his staff.

"…None."

Gran closed his eyes again and re-entered his enlightennt state.
