"Really?"

rus's eyes lit up.

"..."

Why do you look like you're about to break the neutrality rule on the spot just so I can revive you?!

Gran was utterly speechless.

"Hahaha! You'd better rember what you said!"

rus was genuinely happy today—happier than he had been in a long ti.

In truth, his father could have granted that wish for him.

But his father would never agree to him doing such a thing.

"Alright. I won't forget," Gran said with a light chuckle.

Though whether the Grand Priest and Whis would beat him up later to vent their anger… that was another matter.

Still, in the manga, it was ultimately the Grand Priest who revived rus—and even allowed him to return as an ordinary Galactic Patrolman.

The two continued walking forward.

This was a cylindrical prison. On the right side, rows of cells lined the corridor.

Gran glanced over the cosmic criminals imprisoned within. Their powers had all been sealed, and each wore high-tech restraints—devices designed specifically to prevent escape.

"Oh, right," rus said suddenly. "Earlier, Paragus asked to teach him so kind of Super Saiyan transformation. What exactly is that?"

Now that he had Gran's promise, rus was in unprecedentedly good spirits.

"Oh?" Gran raised an eyebrow. "That guy asked you to teach him?"

"Yes. He said it's a legendary transformation passed down among the Saiyans."

rus rubbed his temples, his face full of exasperation.

"But I honestly have no idea what that is."

"It's this."

As he spoke, Gran's hair instantly turned golden.

A terrifying surge of power erupted from his body, sweeping across the entire Galactic Prison.

The Galactic Prison began to tremble.

The sudden disturbance threw the prison into chaos

"What's going on? Why is the prison shaking all of a sudden?!"

"I can't sense any ki—just who is this powerful being that's descended upon the Galactic Prison?!"

"No—there's also so kind of indescribable pressure!"

"I know what this is! A god—there's a god here!!"

The number of criminals imprisoned here was beyond counting, and so of them had even encountered beings of divinity before.

Watching the commotion Gran caused, rus was utterly at a loss.

"Alright, that's enough. Restrain your power."

"Hahaha, sorry. I couldn't help myself for a mont," Gran said with a sheepish laugh.

He drew the power back into his body.

His hair, however, remained golden—like a fully mastered Super Saiyan state.

"Violent power output. Emotional instability. Heavy strain on the body…"

rus calmly listed everything he observed.

In his assessnt, aside from being sowhat stronger than Gran's normal state, it was practically useless.

"..."

Gran's mouth twitched. He'd known rus would say exactly that.

"However…"

rus shook his head. "This form doesn't suit you—but it's perfect for Paragus and the others."

Different talents. Different levels. Naturally, different paths.

If they were talking about base strength alone, it was almost impossible for an ordinary Saiyan to exceed five hundred million battle power.

But Gran's golden-haired transformation could allow an ordinary Saiyan to reach that level.

"rus, actually… this transformation of mine can still evolve further," Gran said casually.

He didn't demonstrate the forms beyond Super Saiyan.

Of course, after years of refinent, Gran suspected he could already reach Super Saiyan 3.

But

Compared to Ultra Instinct, Super Saiyan was still inferior.

So aside from showing off, he rarely used it anymore.

"Oh?"

rus paused, then nodded.

"If that's the case, your transformation really has a lot of potential."

If so, then letting the Saiyans who joined the Galactic Patrol use this form would allow them to grow rapidly in strength.

"Mm. You've probably already figured out the requirents for this transformation, haven't you?" Gran said.

"Anger—and a certain foundation of power."

"As expected of an angel," Gran laughed. "You saw through it at a glance."

Gran had long understood how terrifying angels were, so rus's insight didn't surprise him at all.

The two walked down the long corridor as Gran continued observing the prisoners in their cells.

Any cosmic criminal locked up here either possessed bizarre abilities or had formidable strength to begin with.

They were only powerless now because that strength had been sealed away.

"So your current assignnt is to guard the Galactic Prison every day?" Gran asked.

"Yes. Unless sothing appears in the universe that ordinary Galactic Patroln can't handle, this is where I stay—watching over these guys."

rus swept his gaze across the prisoners.

"They're actually quite strong. It's just a sha they chose the wrong path."

If these people were released back into the outside world, Universe Seven would be plunged into another wave of bloodshed.

"You uphold justice, so naturally you believe they've taken the wrong path," Gran chuckled.

"But in the eyes of us Gods of Destruction, as long as they don't seriously interfere with the universe's developnt, they're all acceptable."

The criminals in these cells really were impressive.

Just monts ago, Gran had passed a cell holding a red-skinned alien.

Even with his power suppressed to an extre degree, Gran could still infer how strong he once was.

One billion battle power.

At this point in ti, if such strength were released into the outside world, even Frieza would have no choice but to bow his head.

"..."

rus simply shut his mouth.

Talking to a single-minded God of Destruction was infuriating.

And besides

From Gran's tone, it almost sounded like he wanted to release the prisoners of the Galactic Prison.

But rus knew Gran wouldn't actually do such a thing.

The Galactic Patrol's capture of cosmic criminals was not only part of the Supre Kai's macro-level regulation of the universe—it was also an internal self-correction chanism.

As a God of Destruction, Gran had no reason to interfere.

"Since you said you ca here to thank ," rus said, "you've done that already. Aren't you leaving?"

"What's the rush?" Gran smiled. "Let take a bit more ti to look around. I'll leave after I'm done."

He gave rus a light push, urging him forward.

He still hadn't seen that guy yet.

He needed to properly observe the Galactic Prison.

However

As they went deeper, Gran's expression grew increasingly grave.

It could only be said that Universe Seven wasn't lacking in powerful beings—

They were simply imprisoned, sealed away, hidden, or slumbering…

Along the path they'd just taken, Gran had even seen a powerhouse who once possessed first-stage divine-realm strength locked behind bars.

Until

At the very end of this level's cells, Gran saw a hunched, goat-like figure sitting inside.
