Now reading: Chapter 160 160: Destroy Moro? from Dragon Ball: Summoning Whis at the Start, a Action novel by mxl1440.

...

Twenty-plus minutes earlier.

In the deepest cell on this level of the prison sat a hunched, goat-like old man.

He was Moro, the Devourer of Worlds.

A monster who fed on planetary life—so long as there were enough planets, he could, in theory, achieve immortality.

By now, his age had surpassed ten million years.

And yet

"Cough… cough… That damned Grand Supre Kai… just you wait!"

Moro crouched in the corner of his cell. His current appearance was that of extre senescence; every word he spoke seed to cost him imnse effort, as though he might drop dead at any mont.

The reason Moro had ended up like this was directly tied to the Grand Supre Kai.

Ten million years ago, during his battle against the Grand Supre Kai and the South Supre Kai, the Grand Supre Kai had expended the majority of his divine power to seal Moro's magic using the technique Mafūba.

All of Moro's abilities were rooted in magic.

Without magic, he was nothing more than a tiger stripped of its claws and fangs.

As a result, Moro was defeated and subsequently imprisoned in the Galactic Prison.

Ten million years had passed since then.

Now, ancient and decrepit beyond recognition, Moro sat slumped in the corner, staring blankly beyond the bars of his cell.

He was unwilling to accept this fate.

That was why, over these ten million years, he had been quietly accumulating traces of magic.

He believed that in just a few more decades, he would finally be able to escape this cell.

And when that ti ca

He would return and take revenge on that dead-fat Grand Supre Kai!

"Just wait… it won't be long now…"

Moro muttered to himself.

Suddenly

A terrifying pressure descended upon the Galactic Prison, accompanied by a mysterious power that caused the entire structure to tremble.

"What's going on?"

Moro frowned, bracing his hands against his knees as he struggled to rise from the corner.

"No—this is divine pressure… divine power!"

Moro had once fought both the Grand Supre Kai and the South Supre Kai. Though he could theoretically achieve immortality by devouring planetary life, he was, at his core, still a mortal being.

He knew very well that mortals could not sense the presence of gods.

Between mortals and gods lay an innate, insurmountable dinsional chasm.

"Could it be… that dead-fat Grand Supre Kai has co?"

Moro could only feel an indescribable pressure. He couldn't sense the other party's actual power at all—and thus had no idea who had arrived.

At the sa ti

Fear began to creep into his heart.

Back then, the Grand Supre Kai had been unable to kill him only because he had exhausted most of his divine power. The Galactic Patrol that followed had been even less capable of killing him.

But now—ten million years had passed.

If the Grand Supre Kai had recovered his divine power and returned, then in Moro's current state

He would unquestionably die.

"Damn it!"

Agony and dread gnawed at Moro's mind.

Ti passed.

More than twenty minutes slipped by.

From the corridor outside the cell ca the sound of footsteps—tap, tap, tap.

Moro's heart began pounding violently, so fast it felt as though it might burst.

"They're here!"

The footsteps stopped near the cell, and soon, two figures ca into view.

One wore the uniform of the Galactic Patrol—rus. Moro recognized him.

The other, however, wore attire with ancient Egyptian characteristics.

Moro had never seen clothing like that before.

Nor had he ever seen this person.

Who… was he?

"So this is Moro?"

Standing outside the cell, Gran finally laid eyes on the ultimate antagonist of the Moro Arc. Just as depicted at the beginning of the manga—aged, withered, and pitiful.

"Huh? You know this guy?" rus asked in surprise.

"Of course," Gran replied calmly.

"The reason the Grand Supre Kai ended up being devoured by Majin Buu was because he expended most of his divine power dealing with this guy."

Gran examined the "old goat" inside the cell with interest.

"You… who exactly are you?" Moro stared intently at Gran.

Moro's voice was hoarse and unpleasant, like thick phlegm lodged in his throat. Listening to it made Gran feel uncomfortable all over.

"You can tell I'm a god," Gran said lightly.

"Looks like the Grand Supre Kai left quite a deep impression on you."

"You—you know that dead-fat bastard?" Moro's voice trembled with fear.

"Then… are you one of his gods?"

"One of the Grand Supre Kai's people?"

Gran chuckled. "You could say that. In a sense, I am."

"You—"

Moro tried to say sothing more.

Suddenly, Gran raised his hand.

A streak of purple light gathered in his palm.

Buzz!!

An indestructible rule-level power flooded the space outside the cell.

Moro felt his very soul begin to tremble.

This power was far more terrifying than the divine power of the Grand Supre Kai!

How was this possible?!

Since when had such a god existed in the universe?

Why had he never heard of him?!

"Gran… are you going to destroy him?" rus asked.

He didn't stop Gran—he knew very well about Moro's history with the Grand Supre Kai.

Moro's abilities were terrifying. If he were to escape the Galactic Prison by accident, it would deal a catastrophic blow to Universe Seven.

"…Forget it."

Gran suddenly lowered his hand.

That world-ending rule power vanished in an instant.

Only then did Moro begin gulping down air, gasping desperately—he felt as though he had nearly died just now.

His reaction was hardly surprising.

First of all, he was currently in a decrepit state. Second, his magic was still sealed.

In the face of universal-level rules, he simply couldn't remain calm.

Even if one argued that this wasn't fair due to him not being in peak condition

Even if Moro were restored to his pri, he still wouldn't be able to remain composed when facing Destruction.

This was absolute, indestructible Destruction—true rule-level power.

Even if Gran's Destruction had only reached the first stage, Moro would never be able to withstand it.

After all, Moro hadn't even been able to withstand the Grand Supre Kai's divine power—let alone sothing far stronger like the rules of Destruction.

"Why did you stop?" rus asked curiously.

"The battle between him and the Grand Supre Kai might not have been known to Lord Beerus while he was asleep," Gran said, shaking his head.

"But after Beerus awakened, Whis couldn't possibly have failed to inform him."

"Yet even though the Grand Supre Kai ended up being devoured because of this guy, Lord Beerus never ca to destroy him. I honestly don't understand."

Gran and rus's conversation reached Moro's ears.

He froze completely.

Beerus?

Whis?

What kind of gods were those?!

Why had he never heard of them?!

"Since Lord Beerus didn't deal with him," Gran continued, "I won't ddle for now. Let's go—one more look around, and I'll head back."

With that, Gran turned and walked away from the cell, heading toward the next level of the prison.

Watching Gran's retreating back, rus turned his gaze back to the cell.

Inside, Moro wore the unmistakable expression of soone who had narrowly escaped death.

rus said calmly,

"That lazy God of Destruction couldn't be bothered with you before. But things are different now. Universe Seven is under his disciple's managent."

"I advise you to behave yourself from now on."

rus wasn't exaggerating.

In the eyes of any God of Destruction, Moro was nothing more than an ant.

With that, rus turned and followed after Gran.

Once their footsteps faded into the distance

"Damn it… even the Grand Supre Kai never gave such overwhelming pressure. What kind of god was that bastard?"

Moro clenched his teeth, his heart filled with boundless fury.

That he had shown fear before a re god

The more he thought about it, the angrier he beca.

Just wait.

Once I escape the Galactic Prison

All of you damned gods will die!
