Shin, the Supre Kai, glanced at Gran's strange attire and frowned.
"I don't know who you are. What exactly are you trying to do?"
This kid was wearing so bizarre outfit—was it supposed to be famous or sothing?
Gran sighed, feeling a little speechless. He decided to probe further.
"I'm the Candidate God of Destruction of the Seventh Universe. Does that ring a bell?"
"The Seventh Universe?" Shin repeated, his brows knitting tighter. "What do you an 'Seventh'? Are there… an Eighth, Ninth Universe as well? And what's this God of Destruction? So kind of deity?"
Gran could only stare in disbelief.
"...Seriously? He really is as clueless as he was in the ani."
But to be fair, it wasn't entirely Shin's fault.
Five million years ago, when Majin Buu attacked the Sacred World of the Kais, the South and Grand Supre Kais had been absorbed, while the North and West Supre Kais were killed.
Only the East Supre Kai—this very Shin—had survived.
The Grand Supre Kai hadn't lived long enough to teach him the full knowledge of a Supre Kai, and the Old Kai had been sealed away in the Z Sword by Beerus himself.
And thus, Shin grew up ignorant of his true role.
Gran exhaled and began explaining patiently,
"The universe we're in right now is the Seventh Universe. You're the highest god of this realm—well, one of two, actually. The other is the God of Destruction."
"The Supre Kai governs creation, while the God of Destruction oversees destruction. Your duties balance one another, maintaining equilibrium across the cosmos. Understand now?"
"Wait—hold on!"
Shin rubbed his scalp as if his brain was overheating, processing the flood of new information. Then, his expression darkened.
"I've never heard any of this before. But you said the God of Destruction handles planetary destruction, and you claim to be one of them? Then tell —does the mass annihilation of the stars six months ago have anything to do with you?"
Gran blinked. "Six months ago? The destruction of the stars…?"
Then it hit him.
"You an the planets Beerus-sama wiped out half a year ago?"
Back then, while Gran was training, Beerus and Whis had gone on a planetary purge—destroying over twenty thousand worlds.
So that's what Shin was talking about.
"It was you, then!!"
Shin's eyes blazed with fury. "Over twenty thousand planets! In half a year! You call yourselves gods, yet you destroy worlds so recklessly?! What kind of monsters are you?!"
Gran twitched his lips.
This guy… really was hopeless. The Old Kai hadn't co out yet, so talking to Shin right now was like reasoning with a rock.
Seeing Gran's indifferent face only enraged Shin further.
"You have any idea how long it takes to recreate that many planets?! You've undone eons of divine effort!"
"Wait a sec!" Gran's eyes widened. "Don't tell —you and Kibito ca here to recreate those useless planets Beerus destroyed!?"
He quickly looked past Shin's shoulder
and there it was.
A massive glowing sphere hovered behind him, within which an embryonic planet was forming.
"You've gotta be kidding …" Gran actually laughed in disbelief.
"Beerus-sama gave up half a year of sleep to destroy those useless rocks, and now you're planning to bring them all back?!"
He snapped.
In a flash of light, Gran shot past Shin.
"What are you doing?!" Shin's face tensed, confused by the boy's sudden move—until his eyes went wide.
"That's the planet I just finished creating! Stop!!"
But it was too late.
Gran raised his hand and unleashed an energy blast nearly twenty ters wide.
BOOM!!!
The explosion swallowed the glowing sphere whole.
The forming planet disintegrated—again.
"You… you demon!!"
Shin trembled, his crimson eyes blazing with rage as the fragnts of his work scattered into stardust.
"L–look at his dinsion level, Supre Kai-sama!"
Kibito had appeared beside him, standing protectively in front of his master. Though arrogant toward mortals, his loyalty to Shin was absolute.
"His dinsion... it's at the Kai level!?"
Shin froze.
A child—barely eight years old—and his dinsional level already matched that of a Supre Kai?!
It confird everything. The boy really was divine—a candidate God of Destruction.
And yet
"Unbelievable… Even Majin Buu never destroyed that many planets! You're worse than him! How could monsters like you ever beco gods?!"
Fury twisted Shin's face. For the sake of the universe's stability, he resolved to eliminate this "demon" before him.
"You're trying to rebuild useless worlds I helped erase, and you dare turn your wrath on ?"
Gran's small fra floated before him, his expression growing icy cold.
BOOM!!!
A surge of power erupted from Gran's body—a battle level of one billion—and a towering wave of energy swept across the void.
FWOOM!
The shockwave hurled Kibito backward several ters.
"S–so strong!"
Kibito steadied himself, stunned.
Shin, however, stood firm.
"Kibito, stay back. For the peace of the cosmos… I'll destroy this evil myself!"
He didn't even look behind him.
This child might be powerful—but still far weaker than Majin Buu, he thought.
Gran smirked, his tone turning mocking.
"Oh? So your strength isn't half bad, huh, Shin? Let's see what you've really got."
In the Buu saga, Shin had proven stronger than Super Saiyan 1 Piccolo, yet weaker than the peak Super Saiyan 2 Dabura.
By that estimate, his power was roughly equivalent to an early-stage Super Saiyan 2—about two billion in battle power.
"Evil gods like you shouldn't exist!" Shin shouted, his voice filled with righteous fury. "I'll erase you from existence myself!"
And with that, Shin vanished from Gran's sight.
Gran's lips curled upward.
A godly ki signature, huh?
Interesting.
