After Vegapunk spoke, a ripple of realization spread through the multidinsional audience. The viewers had been so captivated by Cell's terrifying evolution and his soaring power levels that they had overlooked a glaring mystery: how did he survive at all? According to Cell's own boast, he can regenerate as long as the core chip in his head remains intact.
However, the contradiction was glaring. He had already triggered a self-destruction sequence that possessed enough raw energy to turn the Earth to ash and vaporize a warrior as strong as Son Goku.
Across the multiverse, scientists were baffled. How could a tiny, biological chip survive the epicenter of such a cataclysmic explosion? Was the material truly that indestructible? Dr. Gero, watching from his secret laboratory, remained silent and frustrated; in his current tiline, he hadn't even perfected Androids 17 and 18 yet, let alone synthesized the advanced materials required for Cell's core.
Saitama broke the silence of the chat, his tone characteristically blunt. "Forget the chip for a second. Cell's Ki has skyrocketed, and Gohan's arm is useless." He pondered the screen, wondering how a fighter is supposed to win when their strength is halved and the enemy has transcended their previous limits. If he were in Gohan's shoes, facing a superior foe with no allies strong enough to bridge the gap, even he couldn't see a clear path to victory.
The Z-Fighters were reeling. Yamcha lashed out in frustration, blaming Vegeta's reckless pride for Gohan's injury. He argued that if Vegeta hadn't forced Gohan to shield him, the young Saiyan might still have the power to win.
Krillin tried to soften the blow, noting that Vegeta only lost control because he saw Trunks murdered before his eyes. It was a rare mont of fatherly grief for the cold-blooded Prince, but Yamcha wasn't buying it.
He pointed out the bitter irony: Vegeta's earlier arrogance is exactly what allowed Cell to reach his Perfect Form in the first place. In Yamcha's eyes, Vegeta was the indirect killer of his own son, and this sudden burst of parental revenge was far too little, too late.
Piccolo, ever the realist, cut through the bickering. He noted that if Gohan fell, they would all follow Trunks into the grave. Gohan, burdened by the imnse pressure of the situation, began to apologize to his ntors for his arrogance and his failure to finish the fight when he had the chance.
The Z-Fighters, however, showed their true bond. Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha offered words of comfort rather than bla. They were warriors who had walked the path of death before; to them, dying again was a small price to pay if it ant supporting the boy who had carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.
In the shadows of the universe, Frieza watched with a sadistic grin. To see Goku dead, Trunks erased, and Vegeta on the brink of extinction was a triple crown of delight, even if he wasn't the one pulling the trigger. While so viewers looked away in despair, others leaned in, praying for a miracle.
On the screen, Cell was no longer playing gas. Learning from his near-death experience, he gathered a massive surge of golden Ki, declaring he had enough power to obliterate the entire Solar System.
Gohan, slumped and bleeding, began to surrender to despair. He whispered apologies to his father, believing the Earth was dood. But then, a familiar voice echoed—not from the battlefield, but from the Other World.
Through King Kai's telepathic link, Son Goku reached out to his son. The guidance was imdiate and electrifying, rekindling the dormant fire in Gohan's spirit. With a defiant roar, Gohan stood his ground.
Using his one functional arm, he channeled every drop of his remaining Ki into a desperate Kahaha. Cell t the challenge with his own devastating blast, and the collision of the two blue energy waves sent shockwaves vibrating through the very fabric of the dinsions.
Gohan struggled, his single-handed blast slowly being pushed back by Cell's overwhelming pressure. It was then that the phantom image of Son Goku appeared behind his son, bracing him, their spirits rging into the legendary Father-Son Kahaha.
Goku urged Gohan to let go of his fear of destroying the Earth, reminding him that the Dragon Balls could fix the collateral damage—all that mattered now was total obliteration of the enemy.
As the struggle reached its peak, Piccolo, Krillin, and the others threw themselves into the fray, launching desperate volleys of Ki to distract the monster. Their attacks were like pebbles against a fortress, but they refused to back down.
Then, a massive golden blast slamd into Cell's side, forcing the bio-android to flinch and turn his head in shock. It was Vegeta, bruised and battered, refusing to stay down. In that split second of distraction, the opening Gohan needed finally appeared.
