Shen You’an was certain her parents only had her, otherwise she would have thought she had a twin sister out there.

The only difference might just be that shimring golden hair and those sapphire-like blue eyes.

She couldn’t help but reach out to pinch the other person’s cheek, "What a beautiful little sister."

Just as she thought the other person was a docile little doll, their face instantly changed upon hearing this, puffing their cheeks adorably like a pufferfish.

"Who’s your sister? I’m a boy."

Shen You’an looked at the glittering golden hair draped over his shoulders and smiled sweetly, "Ah, turns out you’re a little brother."

"Wait... you speak Hua Country’s language?"

Fluent, without even the tiniest hint of an accent.

Although his features had the characteristics of Hua Country, the golden hair and blue eyes clearly marked him as a Siland native—he must be mixed-race.

The little boy let out a hum, full of arrogance and pride, but he was so stunningly beautiful that it was impossible to hold it against him.

His pair of blue eyes scanned Shen You’an up and down: "Are you from Hua Country?"

Shen You’an nodded with a smile and reached out, wanting to touch his hair—it looked so radiant and soft, surely a pleasure to the touch.

Suddenly, the little boy grabbed Shen You’an’s hand, his expression changing as quickly as flipping a page: "Take to Hua Country, will you?"

Shen You’an froze for a mont, "You’re not going ho?"

"I don’t want to go back. I want to go to Hua Country to find my mom."

Shen You’an guessed right—he was indeed mixed-race.

"But if you go missing, your family will worry and panic. You ought to go ho first and inform them, let them take you to Hua Country to find your mom."

Although the two of them looked about the sa age, Shen You’an found herself coaxing him like a child.

"You don’t understand." The little boy sighed wistfully, "Dad won’t let look for her."

Ah, she understood now—another marital tragedy, no doubt.

The most innocent party is always the child.

"Sister, take to Hua Country, please? I can buy my own plane ticket; I have money." The little boy fished out a piggy bank from his backpack and shook it, producing a cacophony of jingling noises.

Black-clad n gathered around again, and Shen You’an pulled him to hide behind a garbage bin.

Once the n left, Shen You’an asked him, "You really don’t want to go ho?"

"Sister, I don’t want to go back."

The little boy clung to her hand, looking at her with pitiful eyes. Shen You’an couldn’t help but soften her heart.

"I’m just a kid, you know. Taking you with ... what am I supposed to do?"

Every ti Shen You’an took a step forward, the little boy followed right behind, looking as though he’d been abandoned.

"Are you trying to scam or sothing?"

"Sister, I’m hungry." The little boy stared at her with innocent blue eyes, while his stomach cooperatively growled in accompanint.

Shen You’an sighed helplessly, "I must be cursed."

Across the street was a fast-food restaurant. Shen You’an brought him inside and bought a kid’s al—hamburger, fries, cola, and a toy car as a free gift.

While waiting for the al, Shen You’an asked him, "What’s your na?"

The little boy remained silent.

"I can’t keep calling you ’hey,’ can I?"

"Sister, you give a Hua Country na."

"Well, at least tell your surna first."

"Sister, what’s your surna?"

"My surna is Shen."

"Then I’ll be Shen too."

Shen You’an: ...

She looked into his beautiful, blue eyes and couldn’t help saying, "Your eyes are extraordinarily pretty. They remind of lines from ancient poetry—’bright eyes like autumn waters.’ How about I call you Xingxing (Star)?"

"Xingxing—Shen Xingxing, like the stars you can see when you look up at night. I like it. Thank you, sister."

The little boy bead with satisfaction.

The server soon brought the al over.

Shen You’an pushed it toward him: "Eat up."

Shen Xingxing curiously stared at the al in front of him: "What’s this?"

Shen You’an: ...

"Don’t tell you’ve never had this before?"

Shen Xingxing shook his head, "It’s my first ti seeing it."

Definitely a young master from a wealthy family.

Shen Xingxing picked up the burger, unwrapped it, and took a bite. His eyes lit up instantly.

"So good."

He took a sip of cola too, reacting like he’d discovered a new continent.

"It’s delicious—what is this?"

"Cola."

Shen You’an used a napkin to wipe the mayonnaise off the corner of his mouth. Shen Xingxing closed his eyes in contentnt.

"Sister, thank you for buying a burger and cola. I’ll definitely repay you in the future."

Who wouldn’t love a polite child?

"Alright then, after you’re done eating, I’ll take you ho, okay?"

Shen Xingxing shook his head: "I want to go to Hua Country. Sister, you promised —you can’t go back on your word."

"When did I promise you?"

"I don’t care. I already called you sister, so you have to take to Hua Country."

Shen You’an: ...

"Look at how thin you are—like you’ve got no at on your bones. Doesn’t your family feed you?"

The boy was indeed too skinny, his complexion even sickly pale.

Shen Xingxing took another bite of burger and a sip of cola.

"Exactly! My family doesn’t give food, so you have to take to Hua Country to find my mom."

"What city is your mom in? What’s her na? What does she do? If I go back first, I can help you find her."

Shen Xingxing froze for a mont, then shook his head cluelessly: "I don’t know."

Shen You’an couldn’t help but laugh: "You know nothing—how are you supposed to find her in Hua Country? Like a headless chicken?"

Shen Xingxing suddenly dropped his gaze in silence.

"Annie told , when I was very little, my mom went to a faraway place and never ca back. Once, I overheard Annie talking to soone, and they said my mom was from Hua Country. From that day forward, I secretly started learning Hua Country’s language and saving money. I want to go to Hua Country to find my mom and tell her I miss her very much."

Shen You’an felt a pang of sympathy and gently touched his head.

"Alright, sister will help you find her. But running away from ho will make your dad worry. Eat your food, and then go ho, okay? Your dad must love you very much. If he finds out you left without a word, it’ll break his heart."

"Sister, I hate my dad. He always locks up, never lets go outside. I hate him—I snuck out while Annie was asleep, stole her keys, and ran out the back door. I don’t want to go back."

Shen Xingxing grew increasingly agitated as he spoke, his face turning pale and his breathing becoming labored.

Shen You’an was frightened: "What’s happening to you?"

Shen Xingxing grabbed her hand weakly and murmured, "Sister... take to Hua Country...."

"Alright, alright—I promise, Xingxing...."

Shen Xingxing’s face softened into a content smile, but his breathing worsened until he suddenly collapsed.

Shen You’an reacted quickly, catching his falling body. His face was ghastly pale, lips were bluish, and sweat poured down his forehead—he was utterly feeble.

"This is bad."

The symptoms looked like a heart condition acting up. At a ti like this, you must never move him.

Shen You’an dialed ergency services imdiately, then quickly rummaged through his backpack, emptying out its contents until she found a bottle of pills.

The label didn’t have a na, but the pills were brownish.

She didn’t have a better option, so she decided to take a gamble.

She took out two pills and placed them in his mouth.

Just then, a group of black-clad n barged in. The leading man was visibly shocked: "Young Master!"

The man rushed over with lightning speed, grabbed Shen You’an’s hand, and glared at her furiously: "What did you feed him?"

Although Shen You’an was just a seven or eight-year-old girl, despite her attempts to dress more maturely, traces of childhood lingered in her deanor. Yet her deep, dark eyes seed like endless, unfathomable abysses—calm and collected, entirely unmatched for her age.

The man froze montarily, clearly not expecting such composure from a little girl.

Taking advantage of his hesitation, the little girl shook off his hand.

"I fed him pills that should be ergency ds for heart-related conditions—don’t recognize them?"

Shen You’an showed him the pill bottle.

The man heaved a sigh of relief, bent down, and picked up Shen Xingxing, ready to leave.

"I advise you not to move him recklessly. I called ergency services—they’ll be here soon."

After another long, assessing look at her, the man reluctantly placed Shen Xingxing back down.

Shen You’an tidied the backpack and used a tissue to wipe the sweat from Shen Xingxing’s unconscious face.

Seeing the half-eaten burger and cola on the table, the man frowned: "You actually let the Young Master eat junk food?"

Shen You’an didn’t even look up: "Junk food isn’t poisonous—it won’t kill you. Besides, your Young Master seems to enjoy it quite a lot."

The man realized he couldn’t outtalk a little girl—it was truly bizarre.

"Where are your parents?"

"Don’t have any."

The man winced: "Don’t tell you ran away on your own, too."

"That’s exactly right."

The ambulance arrived quickly, taking Shen Xingxing to the hospital. Shen You’an tried to leave, but the man grabbed her by the collar: "Thinking of running off? Until we figure out if you had anything to do with the Young Master’s collapse, you’re not going anywhere!"

Without hesitation, he shoved Shen You’an into the car, following the ambulance to the hospital.

While Shen Xingxing was rushed into ergency care, Shen You’an was closely watched by the man, stationed outside the ER.

Shen You’an understood the situation very clearly—the bodyguards had lost the Young Master, leading to an incident outside. Unable to shoulder the bla, they were looking for a scapegoat.

Unfortunately, she’d walked right into this ss.

Mary Hospital was the best high-end private hospital in Siland, usually exceptionally quiet.

The corridor outside the ER suddenly echoed with hurried footsteps, carrying a tense and oppressive atmosphere.

Shen You’an turned her head to look.

Leading the group was a man in his forties or fifties, dressed in a crisp suit. His prominent nose, deep-set eyes, signature golden hair, and sapphire-blue gaze were remarkably striking. Despite his age, his every action exuded an inherent elegance and nobility—a true gentleman of mature charm.

Shen You’an squinted slightly. She’d seen that face before in financial newspapers.

The legendary figure of international finance—De La ffi.

The man walked briskly, his expression tense, abandoning his usual air of grace.

"Sir." The black-clad bodyguards imdiately approached him with utmost respect.

"How’s Amos?"

"The Young Master is still in ergency care...."

"Why on earth was he outside, and how did this happen? What’s going on?" The man’s expression darkened, radiating oppressiveness.

The bodyguard’s knees nearly buckled, instinctively preparing to kneel.

A calm voice broke through the tension: "Sir, the priority now is finding a suitable donor heart for the Young Master; otherwise, incidents like this will keep recurring."

Shen You’an turned to the speaker—it was the young man standing first on De La ffi’s right-hand side.

The man noticed Shen You’an’s gaze and looked back at her: "Who’s she?"
