Rong Xianning hung up the phone.
Facing Lv Qiang calmly, he said, "This isn’t the place to talk. Follow ."
Even though the east gate had fewer passersby, the commotion caused by the group had already attracted the attention of so onlookers.
Lv Qiang frowned.
Rong Xianning smirked coldly, "What? Afraid?"
As he spoke, Rong Xianning exchanged a discreet glance with Xiao Hu.
The comnt clearly provoked Lv Qiang. He scoffed coldly, "Afraid of what? I’d love to see what other tricks you can pull."
The driver pulled the RV around. Rong Xianning glanced at Shen You’an, "An’an, I’ll send you ho first."
Shen You’an shook her head, "Your matter takes priority. I’m going with you."
Rong Xianning frowned, "Coming with is dangerous."
Shen You’an gave Xiao Hu a sidelong glance, "Isn’t he here? A world champion in freestyle fighting should be capable of handling a few people."
Xiao Hu looked at Shen You’an in slight surprise.
How does she know?
Seeing Shen You’an’s firm attitude and trusting Xiao Hu’s capability, Rong Xianning nodded, "Get in the car first. Sit by the window."
After getting into the car, Shen You’an chose a seat at the very back. Rong Xianning joined her, sitting beside her. When Xiao Hu stepped forward to board, Lv Qiang darted in ahead of him.
Lv Qiang’s n piled into a dilapidated van.
Xiao Hu ordered the driver, "Head to Xin’an Old Residence."
The driver started the car and drove away. The battered van tailed them relentlessly.
Lv Qiang asked, "What’s Xin’an Old Residence?"
Xiao Hu shot him a glance, the corner of his mouth curling into a sinister smirk, "You’ll find out once we get there."
At that point, Lv Qiang began to calm down and realized he might have been tricked.
He imdiately reached for the car door handle, but the driver had locked it. He couldn’t budge it.
Cold sweat trickled down Lv Qiang’s back: "What are you trying to do? I’m warning you—Rong Yuhe is still in my hands. If you dare lay a finger on , he’s dead at—ahhhh!"
A gut-wrenching scream erupted.
Lv Qiang stared at his wrist, now bent at a ninety-degree angle, the sharp crack of snapping bone echoing through the car. He writhed in agony, his face twisted in pain.
In a low voice, Xiao Hu muttered, "No one threatens ."
Rong Xianning stole a cautious glance at Shen You’an. Inside the dim cabin, the girl’s face remained stoic, as if the violent scene unfolding before her was nothing out of the ordinary.
The car drove for twenty minutes, the scenery outside the window growing increasingly desolate, until it finally stopped in front of a rundown factory.
The battered van halted right behind them.
Xiao Hu kicked Lv Qiang out of the vehicle. Lv Qiang rolled across the ground, clutching his sides in pain and letting out pitiful moans.
"Boss." Several burly n erged from the van. Witnessing the scene, they clenched their fists, their rage palpable, and charged at Xiao Hu.
Seeing four hulking n rushing toward Xiao Hu, any observer would reasonably fear for him.
Xiao Hu glanced back toward the car where Shen You’an and Rong Xianning were seated, "You two stay inside."
With that, a devil-may-care smile tugged at his lips as he slowly rolled up his sleeves.
In barely a minute, the four burly n were sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain.
Xiao Hu stomped on one man’s head and looked over at Lv Qiang, who stood a short distance away, smirking disdainfully, "A bunch of fools who don’t know their place."
Lv Qiang’s eyes burned with rage. Those henchn of his were solid fighters—he never imagined they’d be utterly demolished in such a short span, completely outmatched.
It was his own oversight; who could’ve imagined Rong Xianning’s bodyguard to be so formidable, capable of taking on ten n singlehandedly?
Lv Qiang shouted at Rong Xianning, "Rong Yuhe is still in my hands. If you’ve got the guts, then kill !"
Rong Xianning stepped off the car, approaching Lv Qiang. Standing tall, he looked down at Lv Qiang, who lay battered and humiliated on the ground.
"I’ve told you before, I severed ties with Rong Yuhe long ago. Did you fail to understand that?"
The boy’s face was expressionless, his eyes icy, exuding an inexplicable chill.
