The flesh and bones, which could withstand attacks from peak Nascent Soul cultivators, were shattered instantly.
A deafening roar escaped the sea beast as its enormous body crashed into the ocean, flying hundreds of feet across the water before finally coming to a halt.
Pain surged through its mind.
Blood and fragnts of shattered flesh spilled from its ruined mouth.
Its eyes turned crimson as its beastly instincts nearly drove it into madness.
However, reason ultimately prevailed.
It understood its situation better than anyone.
The enemy before it stood at the sa level as itself.
Combined with the injuries it had already sustained, the outco of a prolonged battle was already obvious.
Even so, the Void Tide Leviathan didn’t panic.
Although famous for its combat prowess, its biggest strength had never been that.
The reason it had survived countless dangers and reached its current realm was its unparalleled ability to escape.
The mont that thought surfaced, its body exploded apart.
Countless smaller leviathans erged, scattering in every direction and running away.
This process sounded complicated.
Yet in reality, less than a split second had passed from the mont it received the attack to the mont it chose to flee.
Chen Xuan had no opportunity to stop it.
However, this was within his expectations.
He reacted quickly.
The sword and saber shot from his hands, transforming into streaks of light that descended upon the fleeing clones.

He found nothing at first.
But a few monts later, his eyes lit up.
His figure vanished. When he reappeared, he stood before an apparently empty patch of sea.
Without hesitation, he raised a finger.
Several azure droplets condensed at his fingertips and shot forward like arrows.
They appeared ready to sink harmlessly into the water.
However, just before the expected impact was about to arrive...

A furious roar shook the heavens.
The space ahead rippled violently.
It was as though an invisible curtain had been torn open, revealing the scene hidden beneath.
It was the Void Tide Leviathan. Or rather, its strongest remaining clone.
The Primordial Ocean Water had already wrapped around its body, pinning it in place and sealing every avenue of escape.
Even Chen Xuan was slightly surprised by its appearance, having never expected this sea beast to be so cunning.
While the countless clones had drawn away his attention, the strongest among them had concealed itself within spatial distortions, waiting for an opportunity to escape.
If Chen Xuan had not been cautious and possessed the Heavenly Insight Eye, he might have never discovered it.
As he watched the Void Tide Leviathan struggle but be unable to escape the Primordial Ocean Water’s grasp, he couldn’t help but shake his head.

Although the battle had appeared easy on the surface, Chen Xuan knew that many different factors had aligned in his favor.
The initial sneak attack. The Holy Weapon and Artifact.
Even the Primordial Ocean Water and the Heavenly Insight Eye.
Without any one of them, capturing the Void Tide Leviathan would have been far more difficult.
The creature was both cautious and exceptionally capable.

The earlier battle had shown that the Void Tide Leviathan indeed possessed spatial powers.

With a wave of his hand, he drew the sealed leviathan toward himself and stored it away.
Then, he collected the blood around the sea and prepared to leave.
He had no intention of seeking the rumored inheritance.
At least not for now. He had to return to the Tianxuan Domain and resolve everything first.

"Master!" two anxious voices rang out at the sa ti.
Yet by the ti Chi Yao and Huo Ling’er reached his previous location, the whirlpool had already disappeared.
Only the calm waters remained, while even the traces of the battle had faded away.
The two won stood frozen in place, staring at the empty sea and being uncertain of what to do next.
