A couple of hours passed, and Greed had returned from her excursion and was currently taking a nap in Xina’s room.
’This bitch!’
Technically, she hadn’t violated their agreent at all, but she’d entered his dungeon while the Akkuron general was still watching!
’Well, I guess it’s about ti we were discovered.’
"But, seriously?! Like that?"
Mias stood spacing out, currently following the Akkuron forces with a good portion of himself, trying to see what they were up to.
At the sa ti...
Awilix and all the others had learned of what Greed had done.
’Please don’t try to kill her.’
’I don’t need to see her any more upset...’
Vale sighed at that vain hope as he looked out into the hallway. He saw Awilix scratching at the gold cube blocking Greed in.
"Co out! I want to play!"
Greed scread from the other side of the gold wall.
"Valentin, control your cat! I’m doing my nails."
To think Vale was having a calm day, reading over descriptions of Items trying to figure out his future agenda, when Greed decided to give him quite the unwelcod gift.
’Is this her payback?’
Vale sneered.
’Ergent.’
He needed to beco Ergent.
The last step toward that evolution was...
’The Levels.’
Wrath had told Vale he’d know which Level it would be when it ca. Sadly, Vale had a feeling it wasn’t 10.
Level: [10]
Enemies:
[Ergent Mutant: 40]
[Ergent Monster: 20]
[Ergent Wretch: 1]
’Harsh...’
It was doable, but barely.
It was more than likely a force he’d lose to with his current strength.
Vale looked over at the silent snake he’d called to his room.
[Would you like for Affiliate Sivian to absorb 200 Aether?]
’Yes.’
The snake woman smiled as she looked at her body and gleefully hissed.
Vale left her behind and made his way to the Dungeon Core.
When he got there, he looked at the Crystal Prison.
Vale knew he should only challenge Level 10 if Xina were freed or with Greed’s help.
’And I’m not striking another deal.’
Quite the conundrum...
Xina would only be healed once Greed left. And once Greed left, he’d have no deterrent force, making challenging the Level riskier.
Vale walked into the Dungeon Core and entered the white expanse.
"It’s getting pretty crowded in here."
The massive stone pile was rapidly growing as the 100 new imps dug out that massive area.
Plus, there were all the random resources scattered about.
Vale looked at a small red imp who was currently on his break.
"What are you doing in here, little guy?"
"badu?"
Dickless Jr. took a slight break from smashing two rocks together and waved at Vale.
Vale smiled warmly.
Then frowned when the small imp looked away and returned to playing.
’I understand Larry all too well...’
Vale shook his head, then summoned the ’store.’
Vale had 223 Aether to spend, and everyone, save for Xina, was capped out. aning if he wished to get stronger he should either use it to summon troops or gamble.
’I didn’t particularly want to do this yet.’
But Vale didn’t have the right to dawdle.
’Because soone decided it was ti for Lust to be known to the world.’

Vale was mightily curious what ??? was, but he had to hold off on saving up in favor of imdiate strength. However...
’Amassing 1000 Aether used to seem like an impossible prospect.’
Especially when it took 700 to saturate his core.
’But, now, it feels doable...’
Vale looked over the store screen and carefully pondered his next move.
He now had enough Workers, 135 to be precise, so he could rule them out.
He did need to beef up his Legion. Summoning forces only beca worth it if they were en masse. Summoning a few didn’t seem to be the right move, as they proved to be sowhat fodder so far.
Though he’d still consider it.
’The ones who survive do get pretty strong.’
Maybe it was because they got stronger as he did, but regardless of that fact, Vale felt the current Edith could take on ten of her past selves.
’Still...’
Vale didn’t like how weak so of them were and how easily they died.
He may not have felt much dismay, and the other warriors were also sowhat numb to it, but Toy and the Workers seed to enter a heavy depressive episode whenever a warrior they were friends with died.
’At least Toy made a new friend that won’t die...’
Runcal, the gentle giant serving a bitch of a master.
Vale put on his glasses and bought an N-ranked Mystery Box.
As the box fell from above, Vale thought about the Dawn’s Eye phenonon he never finished investigating.
’Oh, spider of heaven who looks upon the brink of day.’
It sounded like the start of a poem.
’A hundred eyes, reflecting destruction.’
Not to ntion the Item’s rank was SR, which was supposed to be rare.
Vale had a lot of them, so he’d assud the ranking was misleading...
’But that line suggests there are only a hundred worldwide.’
Which, in the grand sche of things, wasn’t many.
’So, then, why did the chaleons have so many?’
Vale’s thoughts ca to an end when three gray cards began floating in circles around him.
"Ah, damn. I thought I’d be able to cheat."
Seeing that even the glasses didn’t know what the cards held, Vale picked one at random.
[You have acquired an N-ranked Item, Pipe!]
’A pipe? Seriously?’
A small tal pipe fell from the air and bounced off the floor of the white void.
’Wait... yes!’
Ember and Ruby had the perfect blueprint for an integral piece in construction design.
"badu?"
It rolled next to DJ, who picked it up and held it above its head.
"badu!"
