During the Dark Ages Chapter 6 - 6 Evolvution

I woke up after what felt like a few hours later if my stomach was correct. I was inside the sa cold storage unit as before, the corpses were also still here, but the events that occurred felt more like a dream than a mory. I didn't think about this for long as I ran out of the cold storage unit, shivering from the cold while wondering what changed now that I have been enveloped by that strange mist for a second ti, but i didn't have to wonder long as a system window popped up in my view displaying my status.

I was stunned by the information displayed to by the weird interface. The first thing I took note of was the change in my race and that caused to panic as I ran down the corridors looking for a mirror. As I ran down the corridors I noticed that I was moving fast, really fast but this made panic even more. I rember their being a bathroom sowhere near here, down one of the corridors and made a beeline for it imdiately. I kicked open the door, and rushed towards the mirror to see what has changed and sighed in relief when I saw that there were no horns sticking out of my head. As I noticed that my face was covered in black blood, and I quickly washed it off. Now inside the mirror I saw a handso pale faced young man with black hair and red eyes. I took note that my eye colour has changed, which ant that the mist was really ssing with my DNA, and who knows what else it might have done to . I quickly took off my shirt and noticed that my muscles bulked up a bit, becoming clearly defined as I could feel how rock hard my abs were. Now let's see what exactly this interface has done to now.

'Wait a minute, am I going to beco a demon.' I thought to myself, shell shocked and horrified. I did not want to beco a demon, a creature that can only bring fear and terror to those around them. In the end I could only sigh at the outco that seed inevitable, since I had to fight to survive, and the more I fought the more exp I earn and once I maxed out my level, I'll evolve……into a Demon most likely. I decided to stop wasting brain energy on speculations and instead decided to do sothing productive, like check my new skills again.

I nodded my head in understanding as I looked over the description of the skills [Supernatural Physique] and [Supernatural Senses] but I was left confused. Unlike the other one I could tell that this one was an active one which although I didn't want to admit it excited a bit. Who didn't want super powers. I closed my eyes and concentrated on trying to use the [Aura Vision] skill, and on an instinctive level, I naturally knew how to activate the skill, like the information was ingrained into my brain.

I continued to look straight into the mirror and my eyes glowed red before my perception shifted. In my field of vision,or more accurately my mind's eye, I could see the corridors of the hospital in gray and black colours with everything being outlined perfectly even the corpses. I could also see my self and I was giving off a fierce purple aura. I could see the entire hospital which had only three floors and was incredibly wide so I concluded that the skill had a very far range. Deactivating the skill I had a smile on my face as I could now fight these undeads even better now.

Leaving the hospital I continued onto my original objective of going to the police station to grab so supplies. As I ran down the desolate streets I marveled at my new superhuman speed as everything turned into a blur as I ran past them. Soon I reached the police station but I didn't enter imdiately and instead I tried out my new [Supernatural Senses] as I tried to pick up anything from inside the station. Although I didn't pick up anything I still didn't enter just yet and instead I activated [Aura Vision] and only when I didn't see anything did I enter the station.

Searching the place I found a bag, a few guns, a machete, ammo and sothing I didn't know I wanted until I saw it a computer. I loaded two handguns and all the hand gun ammo I could find into the bag while I kept the machete in my hand. I walked over to the computer and sat in the chair and then I went onto the internet. That's how I found out that K town wasn't the only place that experienced the weird phenonon with the Demon Miasma but not everywhere experienced it although the entire world, the world only had one large continent, was affected. All the towns and cities experienced this 'Zombification' and it seed that I was out cold for three days, which explained the vacancy of the town. Also, the fact that these social dia ssages were posted, ant that there were still uninfected humans sowhere on the continent.

Most of these zombies seed to have left their point of origin and started infecting everyone in other cities and towns through bites and scratches, as there were videos and images showing the zombie attacks, and most of them seem to have been taken from high up. The zombies have already spread to more than half the continent, which was mostly covered in forest, and was still spreading which chilled to my very core at how accurate those zombie movies were. Also it seed that Demon Miasma had spread over the entire continent although it seed harmless now and was hanging low to the ground based on the fact that so people were recorded walking through it, and they were just fine.

There were also videos online taken from safe positions that showed undead thralls fighting and killing each other. Although everyone else was confused on why they were doing this I knew exactly why…..they were trying to grow stronger, to evolve.
