"Alice, it's ti!!" I shouted from outside. By the ti I had finished analyzing my new trait it was night ti so it was ti to search the forest. Alice ca outside fast and she had an excited gleam in her eyes.
"Let's go, let's go!!!" She shouted excitedly. I could understand her excitent a bit. Ever since she beca a vampire she was stuck in the house and haven't been out much. Even worse she missed the battle with the imps which was an opportunity for her to grow stronger.
"Rember, we are not going there to fight only scout, okay." I reminded her
"Yeah I rember. Don't worry I won't fight unless I have to." She reassured but I wasn't really convinced. Hopefully she stuck to her word. We flew towards the forest and I couldn't help but look at the city below. It was practically in ruins with only a few buildings still intact, to think this was a thriving city only a few weeks ago. We soon reached the forest's edge and I told Alice to activate her [Shadow Cloak] and [Aura Vision] while I activated my [Stealth] and [Aura Vision]. We couldn't sense each other and the only way I could even tell if she was close by is if I used [Senses Manipulation]. I imdiately noticed this huge flaw in our plan but I couldn't do anything now the reason being…. Alice was gone.
I could only sigh and hoped that she rembered to co back before the sun rose. I flew into the forest with my [Aura Vision] skill activated searching for any signs of imps. I didn't find any imps but I did find a lot of red auras, like a whole lot. I could sense hundreds of red auras in the forest, these auras undoubtedly belonged to demonic beasts like the ones that attacked the bus on our way here. On closer investigation, although I was here to find the imps, most of the demonic beasts were fighting fiercely against each other trying to devour each other, even herbivores like bunnies were tearing their opponents apart. Over the course of an hour I watched the beasts kill and drag back corpses back with them to there lair and the amount of auras that were there decreased by more than half.
If this happened every night then how were their numbers so high. There should have been a lot less of them or none of them at all, the only explanation for this is that the beasts reproduction rate increased after being demonized. This made wonder about the growth rate of the beasts, if they could grow to full adulthood in only a few days or less then we may have a real problem. The beasts might turn there fangs away from each other and towards the city. I looked around and my eyes were drawn to the trees. I could see demonic energy flowing through the trees in small veins under their bark. The outward appearance of the trees remained the sa despite this but I doubted that would remain much longer.
Seeing all these things made wonder what other changes did Demon miasma have on the planet's flora and fauna. Now that I thought about it, what would the ocean be like right now? A very vivid image appeared in my head and I couldn't help but shiver. The only thing I saw was demonized sharks and whales fighting each other and I knew that the seas and oceans have beco nothing more than a watery, salty abyss that humanity will never claim. Maybe Demons will, I wonder if the Underworld has sea demons. As I contemplated these questions and more I heard a loud explosion in another part of the forest.
"I guess Alice found the imps." I said before flying towards the explosion.
