[Planet - Desolation Alpha]
[Class M planet - Savage level 7]
A Savage planet classification was reserved for worlds yet to be fully explored, and level 7 denoted the highest level of danger in the Magus universe. Such planets were rare and scattered throughout the Magus alliance, serving as coveted hunting grounds for elite magus seeking both challenge and opportunity. Moreover, their rich reservoirs of spirit and cosmic energy made them pri locations for Grand Magus Ascensions, drawing ambitious Magus and Grand Magus from far and wide.
The group of five arrived at a heavily fortified fortress, its towering walls reinforced with ancient stone and enchanted barriers, a testant to the stronghold's importance in safeguarding the portal and ensuring the safety of Magus exploring the planet's perilous environs.
"Let's not waste ti," urged Magus Heorgar as he briskly led the group toward the checkpoint. With a swift motion, he presented a special permit issued by the Zodiac faction, a docunt ticulously crafted using a significant allocation of rit points and spirit stones. Their purpose, identities, and the duration of their stay were all ticulously noted.
"Good luck Commander. I hope for your successful return,"
Such respect was given after his background was known. Magus Heaorgar, after all, has spent the last 10 years gaining rit and contributing on the frontline.
Sadly not many would give such treatnt. As they made their way past the checkpoints, Ery couldn't help but notice the wary glances directed their way. It seed their presence had stirred so unease among the other Magus gathered there.
A group of Magus in white uniforms openly voiced their disdain, their comnts dripping with contempt. "Huh... this place slls like an animal barn lately… they are letting more of them enter these days.. so annoying."
Magus Beatrice bristled at the insult, ready to retort, but Heorgar intervened with a calming gesture. "Let's ignore them," he urged, guiding the group toward the gate. Despite his words, the sting of the insult lingered, and Magus Beatrice couldn't help but mutter curses under her breath as they walked.
Ery observed the disdainful glances and overheard the derogatory comnts directed their way. It was a reminder of the entrenched prejudice against half-bloods, despite their significant contributions to the alliance over the years.
The Magus in the white uniforms, adorned with their distinctive white and gold bird emblems, belonged to the Kux faction. This faction held considerable sway as a grade 4 faction, ranking among the top 10 most influential factions in the Alpha Quadrant. Their hostility towards half-bloods was well-known, and they were particularly vocal in their opposition to the developnt of Utopia City.
The recent establishnt of the Zodiac Outpost had only served to exacerbate tensions. For factions like Kux, it represented a threat to their established order and traditional power structures.
As Ery stepped out of the secured fortress and soared into the open sky with the group, he imdiately sensed the unique characteristics of the planet. The first thing that caught his attention was the presence of multiple moons, casting an ethereal glow across the landscape even in broad daylight. Each moon seed to hang suspended in the sky, painting the heavens with a srizing display of celestial beauty.
However, beneath this enchanting facade lay a more ominous energy emanating from the ground below. It created a gravitational pull that was a hundred tis stronger than usual, adding an extra layer of challenge to their mission. It was clear that these unusual phenona were what made this planet so distinct and formidable.
"Let's speed up," Magus Heorgar's voice cut through the air, his tone tinged with urgency.
Heorgar signaled to Magus Beatrice, who wasted no ti in activating her innate ability, [4 Eyes Wolves]. This unique skill heightened her senses and spirit reading abilities, extending her perception to an impressive range of 800 miles. Their objectives were twofold: to ensure they were not being followed and to avoid any unexpected encounters with other groups of Magus roaming the planet.
To ensure their safety, Ery also activates his spirit reading abilities. Over the years, he had honed his abilities to a level comparable to that of a Grand Magus, granting him the ability to sense disturbances within a vast radius of 1000 miles without needing any special techniques. Despite this capability, out of deference to the senior Magus, he chose to remain discreet while vigilantly observing the surroundings of the planet.
As they journeyed, Ery quickly grasped the significance behind the classification of Savage Level 7. The planet teed with formidable creatures, with even the weakest boasting legendary-level strength. Mythical-level beasts were common, serving as the dominant predators within the planet's intricate ecosystem. Yet, looming over them all was the pinnacle predator—the thousand-year-old mythical beast, or what was classified as a Desolate beast. These creatures were at the pinnacle of power, possessing magus-level abilities and harboring rare tier 5 and tier 6 materials within their formidable bodies.
Observing the sheer number and variety of these beasts, Ery couldn't suppress the thought of capturing so specins to bring back for his students, especially for a certain hungry young boar.
"Contact 600 miles ahead," Beatrice announced, prompting the group to make a slight detour from their original path.
Ery's spirit reading allowed him to sense a group of half a dozen Magus engaged in a hunt for one of the formidable Desolate beasts. Though these Magus posed a minimum threat, Heorgar wisely chose to avoid any potential conflicts, opting to continue their voyage without interference.
For hours, they flew northward, navigating the treacherous terrain of the savage planet. Ery's heightened senses detected several more hunting parties along the way, including solitary Grand Magus embarking on solo quests. Each sighting served as a stark reminder of the dangers that lurked in every corner of the untad wilderness.
In addition to the nacing beasts, the planet boasted remarkable landscapes teeming with valuable resources. Ery manages to recognize the black diamond lake and the Ash trees. Both held imnse potential for gathering high-
grade materials that could enrich any Magus Domain. But their utilization often ca with considerable risks. The lake, usually a haven for aquatic creatures, now lay barren, while the once bountiful trees bore no fruit, serving rely as a habitat for the powerful beasts that road the area.
After a full day of traversing the rugged terrain, the group finally reached their destination: a dark marsh shrouded in a dense, ominous aura. Pressing deeper into the marsh, they sought out a suitable location for their undertaking. After so consideration, Magus Heorgar made the call. "We will do it here,"
