In the quest for Grand Magus accession, all cultivators faced three formidable hurdles, each representing a fundantal aspect of the mystical realm.
The first was the factor of man, encompassing the foundation of the body, the soul, and all the accumulated comprehension.
The second was the factor of nature, the profound elents, and the spiritual laws governing all existence.
The first two factors were the fundantal basis of a magus Realm. However, to attain the coveted Grand Magus Realm, they needed to transcend beyond the confines of re mortal and natural domains.
This required the third factor—the Cosmos, an intangible force of imasurable might and boundless mystery. It was the cosmic energy that infused the universe, granting untold power to those who could harness it.
In the grand sche of magus evolution, the balance of these three factors was essential. The Cosmic above, the Spirit below, and Man at the center ford the triad of forces driving the progression of the Grand Magus Realm.
For Magus Heorgar, whose cultivation focused on the elents of darkness, the chosen dark marshes within the desolate planet offered the perfect environnt. Here, amidst the desolation, he would harness the surrounding spirit energy to engage with the planet's unique cosmic forces, advancing his quest for Grand Magus ascension.
"We will do it here," Magus Heorgar declared their chosen location, and the atmosphere crackled with anticipation.
With a decisive nod, the old formation master wasted no ti in springing into action. With a simple yet commanding gesture, he directed the earth itself to obey his will. Massive rocks ascended from the ground, arranged in a protective circle spanning a mile in diater. With practiced precision, he began inscribing ancient runes into the stone, each stroke imbuing the formation with power and purpose.
As the ground quivered beneath them, Ery's senses tingled with the presence of nurous threats lurking below the surface. Turning to Magus Beatrice, he voiced his concerns, seeking to understand the extent of the danger. Realizing the limitations of her subterranean sensing abilities, Ery resorted to his own thod. Placing his hands upon the earth, he cast [Nature Grasp] extended his senses deep into the earth, probing the darkness below.
Instantly, a flood of sensory impressions surged through Ery's consciousness. He discerned the presence of dozens of mythical beasts lurking beneath the ground, so even possessing the formidable stature of Desolate-level creatures. Concerned by the magnitude of the lurking danger, Ery voiced his apprehensions.
But the old formation master magus quickly dismissed his concern.
"You've never been to this place, haven't you?" the formation master remarked. "Those desolate beasts are everywhere! It's nothing uncommon. That's precisely why you're here."
Ery could quickly discern that the old magus was unwilling to relocate, as he had already begun constructing his formation. Ery turned to his senior, Heorgar, and proposed a more cautious approach, advocating for additional ti to thoroughly analyze their surroundings.
"We really can't wait anymore... The longer we stay here, the more dangerous it will be," Magus Heorgar said with a deep sigh before settling into a lotus position to prepare himself for the forthcoming tribulation.
Seeing this, Magus Tobin said to Ery, "You and I, we can start securing the area."
In an effort to bolster their defenses and ensure the safety of his senior,Ery summoned one of his most trusted allies—
Twik, a towering humanoid plant creature standing at an imposing height of two ters. As Twik erged from the shadows, he greeted the group with a deep rumble.
"I am Twik..."
Not only does Twik exhibit a certain level of intelligence, but his strength also surpasses that of any common magus; he was comparable to a desolate-level beast in terms of power. As everyone marvels at Twik's capabilities, Ery instructs him to guard the area, particularly below the ground. With a confirming nod, Twik's hands begin to root into the earth.
With this arrangent in place, Ery flew away, following Magus Tobin towards the nearest Desolate beast, which roams within a hundred-mile radius.
"I've heard you're an excellent environnt and space magus," Tobin remarks to Ery.
"Just decent, but I'll do my best to follow your instructions," Ery responds humbly.
The elder magus smiles warmly, and they quickly exchange so combat strategies before their upcoming battle.
[Chainsaw Blue Lizard]
The monstrous creature, resembling a 100-ter-long crocodile with teeth resembling chainsaws, was a thousand-
year-old mythical beast, granting it Desolate Beast status. Ery can sense its battle power, which was equivalent to that of a half-moon magus.
Despite its imnse strength and durable skin, it poses no significant threat to Ery or Magus Tobin. However, VIA alerts them to its highly poisonous bites.
Before Ery could voice his concerns, Magus Tobin sprang into action, his movents swift and decisive. With astonishing speed, the turtle magus launched himself at the beast, his fists blazing with energy. A powerful punch connected with the creature, sending it hurtling through the air with trendous force, crashing into a nearby rock formation.
Ery reacted swiftly. Drawing upon his mastery of environnt magic, he invoked his [Jade Root] technique, weaving intricate patterns of energy that snaked towards the fallen beast. The roots entwined around the creature's limbs, restricting its movents and preventing any smaller creatures from interfering with the battle.
Magus Tobin, a seasoned combatant with a bloodline that further augnted his physical prowess, unleashed a barrage of explosive punches and formidable defensive maneuvers against the Chainsaw Lizard. With each clash, the ground trembled beneath their feet as the two titans clashed in a fierce battle. Despite the creature's resilience, Tobin's relentless assault proved overwhelming, culminating in a final, decisive blow that snapped the beast's neck, bringing it crashing to the ground in defeat.
As the dust settled, Ery wasted no ti in carrying out his assigned task. Utilizing his mastery of space magic, the lifeless body vanished into the portal to be shared later, when they returned.
The creature's remains held valuable resources coveted by magus across the realm. The tough, scaled hide of the lizard, prized as a tier 4 material for its durability; its razor-sharp teeth, designated as tier 5 for their formidable cutting power; and the toxic gland, a tier 6 substance valued for its deadly properties. Though the creature's flesh held potential as a food source, its poisonous environnt rendered it unfit for consumption—a bitter truth that diminishes the significance of their harvest.
Both of them continued, they headed toward the second Desolate beast, and after they finished with the third one, Magus Beatrice sent a ssage confirming that the preparations were complete. The cosmic tribulation was about to begin.
