Mabel Quinn noticed Kyle’s hesitation. What was she hoping for? Hoping that he could at least love their daughter? Back then, since he could force her to abort the child, how can he possibly love now?
Mabel was just about to speak to divert their daughter’s attention, but Kyle spoke first, "I don’t know if I’ll love you very much, but I’ll try to love you, because you are my daughter."
He didn’t want to deceive or coax this little one in front of him, and this was already the greatest commitnt he could give.
The little one nodded and said, "Okay, then you can temporarily be my daddy. Only when you really love will you be my daddy, okay!"
"..." Only this little one would bargain with him like this, right? But looking at the serious expression on her little face, Kyle still nodded stiffly.
"Then let’s clap hands!" the little one said.
"Clap hands?" Kyle was puzzled.
Mabel explained beside him, "Ivy ans to clap your palm together to signify that words are kept."
So, Mr. CEO once again stiffly exchanged a palm clap with the little rascal daughter in front of him. After all, he really didn’t have much experience with children. Even when he sotis picked her up, he would feel how small and soft she was, making him hesitant to apply any force, fearing he might hurt her.
And when that little palm clapped against his, that small yet soft sensation in his hand made him feel sothing unusual again.
This is... his child. Despite his aversion to the blood running in his veins, the bond of blood seed to always make it perceptible to him.
Kyle lowered his eyes, sowhat dazedly watching the little one sitting in the middle of the back seat, while Mabel glanced at Kyle, rembering how in the past, when she fell in love with him and confessed, he also said he would try to love her.
And later, he really did fall in love with her, but the outco wasn’t good.
Now, he said he would try to love their daughter. She just hopes this ti the outco will be good, hoping he won’t end up hurting their daughter.

Beside him, Mabel said, "Ivy, Mommy will do the howork with you later. You... uh, Daddy has other things to do and has to go back first."
