"Yes, I really want to know too, why do I still have to co and ask you." He murmured, his reason clearly telling him what the facts were and who was lying, yet the vague feeling in his heart felt like it was still unwilling to give up, still seeking an answer.
His lips approached her again, she struggled desperately, and the sound of footsteps ca to her ears, making her even more anxious. If she and Daniel Harris were seen like this, it would be impossible to explain.
She didn’t know where her strength ca from, but she suddenly pushed him away and ran off in a panic.
Daniel Harris staggered backwards several steps before he managed to steady himself. His palm felt empty, devoid of the warmth it once held, and the voices of others reached his ears.
"Director Harris, why are you standing here?"
"It’s nothing." He shook his head, his drunkenness sobering up a bit. His toe kicked sothing, and he looked down to find a phone.
This phone... He bent down and picked up the phone that had fallen to the ground. He rembered it was Mabel Quinn’s phone.
He rarely rembered other people’s belongings, but he rembered what Mabel Quinn’s phone looked like. Why did he care so much about that woman? He cared so much... that even he couldn’t explain it.
And when Daniel Harris re-entered the banquet hall, Grace Yowell slowly walked out from the shadow of a distant corner. Her eyes were filled with jealousy, reluctance, anger, and resentnt.

As she spoke, she gently nestled into his chest, using a voice that only the two of them could hear, "Tonight, I want to stay at the Harris Estate." Her words were full of suggestion.
Daniel Harris looked steadily at the person in his arms, and after a mont, he gently patted her shoulder, "Tonight, I want to be alone."
