In the restaurant at this hour, there were quite a few tables occupied by bodyguards arranged by Kyle Kinston for Mabel Quinn, far more than when she previously ca to the studio with just two bodyguards.
"They should be able to withdraw these bodyguards after so ti, after all, Kyle is just worried about my safety," Mabel said. She surmised it was probably due to Daniel Harris intercepting her with five cars last ti, which led Kyle to send more people to protect her.
Thinking of Daniel Harris, Mabel’s expression beca dim.
"What’s the matter? You seem to be thinking of sothing unpleasant," Alice Conley asked. "If there’s anything troubling you, you can tell . Even if I can’t give you advice, at least I can be your trash can."
"It’s nothing, I just thought of Daniel Harris," Mabel didn’t hide from her friend. "That day, after I ca out of your studio, I ran into Daniel. He got hold of the manuscript of the novel I used to write from Lyra Grant’s servant, and finally recognized that I was that little Grace from childhood."
"What happened afterward, how did you respond?" Alice asked again.
"How else should I respond? So people, so things, perhaps once they are gone, they are gone," Mabel stated. "Besides, I originally planned to resign from Morningstar to avoid any dealings with Daniel Harris."
Alice sighed and said, "That’s how it should be! Daniel Harris really wasted those pretty eyes of his, can’t even distinguish right from wrong."
Back at the police station when Daniel forced Mabel to apologize, Alice had gritted her teeth in anger, and now she felt a sense of relief.

anwhile, Mabel and Alice didn’t know that one of the subjects of their conversation—Grace Yowell—was currently being bundled up in a sack and heavily thrown to the ground.
At the mont the sack was removed, Grace’s face was full of panic. She... she was clearly hiding in a vacation cottage bought under her mother’s na to wait out this storm and to carefully think through her next steps.
She had clearly locked all the doors and windows of the cottage, but who would have thought that she would be secretly bound and gagged with a rope, then bagged with sackcloth.
Now, looking at the fierce unfamiliar n around her, Grace’s face was filled with even more horror. Was... was she kidnapped?
When the rope binding Grace was untied, she couldn’t care about the soreness in her mouth, hurriedly speaking, "What do you... what do you want? Is it money? I can give you money, I have money in my bank card, as long as you let go..."

Grace was taken aback, then realized they were likely referring to what she had posted against Mabel Quinn online. So... were these n sent by Kyle Kinston?

Grace looked around the unfamiliar room but didn’t see Kyle Kinston.
"Well... are you sent by Mr. Kyle? I know I did wrong, I... I will go online to clarify everything, I will vindicate Mabel! Please let go, let go!" she cried with tear-streaked cheeks, looking so pitiful.
