"That’s true." Alice Conley nodded. In this world, how many people would risk their lives to save another person? In those circumstances, if the explosion had been more powerful, Daniel Harris might very well have died.

After thinking it over, Mabel Quinn nodded, "Alright." She didn’t want to refuse her friend’s kindness, and besides, going to the mountains for so fresh air would be good.

In the afternoon, Mabel Quinn set off by herself to visit the Hospital to see Daniel Harris, but this ti, she didn’t go into the ward. Instead, she stood quietly outside.
Sotis, perhaps not seeing each other is for the best. Maybe it’s better for both him and her. However, a lingering sense of guilt still filled her heart.
It wasn’t that he gave his life to her, but rather, she owed him her life.
She sincerely hoped that he could recover and then let go of past matters, find soone he could truly love.
What she could offer him was gratitude, but not romantic love.
Suddenly, the door to the ward was opened from the inside, and Mabel saw Daniel’s mother coming out. She was slightly surprised to see her.

"I’m not going in; perhaps it’s better this way," Mabel said. "Mr. Harris... how is he doing?"

In the evening, during dinner, Kyle Kinston asked, "You went to the Hospital today?" Because the tracking feature on his new phone, he was aware of her whereabouts.
"Yes," she said, "I went to see Daniel Harris, but I didn’t go into the ward. I chatted with his mother outside for a bit."
His mother had always been kind to her, and that made Mabel feel good about her.
"By the way, this morning Alice ca to see , and we agreed to go to a temple in the mountains together this weekend. I might co back later that day, and I’ll call you then," Mabel said.
