The person who rushed over was Kyle Kinston.
"What’s wrong with her?" Kyle Kinston almost stumbled as he rushed forward and asked.
"Huh?" The two villagers and the Driver who ca down together were startled, especially the Driver. He knew Kyle Kinston, and seeing Kyle in this state, it was as if he had co back from a catastrophe. Although his aura remained unchanged, he looked quite disheveled.
"Miss Mabel is fine, just... she twisted her ankle on the mountain and has a bit of a fever, so that’s why..." the Driver quickly explained.
anwhile, on the other side, Daniel’s mother was also running over with the help of others. As soon as she saw Daniel Harris, she couldn’t help but start crying again.
This commotion finally woke Mabel Quinn up.
She hazily opened her eyes, eting those deep, dark eyes, "Kyle?" Mabel Quinn paused, then realized she was being carried, and the one carrying her was surprisingly Daniel Harris.
"Han... Daniel Harris, please put down first," Mabel Quinn said quickly, her mind in a fog. She was sure she had just dozed off on the mountain, but now as she opened her eyes, dawn was breaking, and they were off the mountain.
Daniel remained silent, and after a mont, he slowly released his hold, letting Mabel Quinn slide down from his back.
Has this journey finally ended? Even though he wished this journey wouldn’t end, wished he could carry her forever, has it reached the point where he can no longer do so?
Mabel Quinn, now off Daniel Harris’s back, felt more spirited than before. Though her head was still a bit woozy, she no longer felt that previous exhaustion, perhaps due to having slept.
Just as she got down, a hand quickly pulled her into a broad chest, which carried the scent of earth and grass, yet it made her feel very at ease.
However, right now, being held in Kyle Kinston’s arms, she anxiously said, "Kyle, don’t hold first. Let see you. What’s going on with you? These scratches, and this blood, are you bleeding..."
A series of questions spilled from her lips. She just wished she could strip him of all his clothes at this mont to thoroughly check how many injuries he had.
"Mabel, I’m fine," Kyle Kinston said, holding Mabel Quinn tightly, feeling her presence, feeling the living her in his arms.
She’s still here, she’s okay!
"How can you say you’re fine like this!" Mabel Quinn said worriedly.
"As long as I can hold you like this, nothing’s wrong with ." His head buried in her neck, he murmured softly, "Last night, I missed you so, so much."
Missed her so much it hurt.
Thinking he had to find her quickly, only to end up finding just her phone, at that mont, he felt an unprecedented helplessness.
What could he do to find her, what could he do to make her completely, utterly belong to him...
What he feared wasn’t the physical pain, but rather whether she was safe... and her relationship with Daniel Harris...
Mabel Quinn relaxed her body and hugged Kyle Kinston back. Even though they were in the public eye, she still very much wanted to hold him like this.
"Kyle, I missed you very much, too," Mabel Quinn said. "I’m sorry, yesterday I missed our eting again." She had promised to cook him her specialty dish, but in the end, it didn’t happen.
