Dorian Howards rolled his eyes, "So, young lady, are you leaving now or not?"
Alice Conley blinked, then belatedly realized that Dorian had already brought her to the courthouse entrance, and there was a whole bunch of reporters there! When she saw the caras of those reporters sweeping this way, she imdiately shrank behind Dorian, quietly urging, "Let’s go, hurry up and go!" She didn’t want to end up in the entertainnt gossip section!
Dorian was, after all, the president of Howards Group, and had been hailed by those gossip magazines as a valuable Diamond bachelor or such. If those tabloid reporters caught sothing, wrote a few articles, she could kiss any peaceful days goodbye.
Especially since Dorian had beco quite popular with the local community’s elders recently. If those aunts saw the gossip news and learned about Dorian’s true identity, it would an that her dad and mom would know too. Just thinking about how to explain everything to her parents gave her a headache.
Watching Alice, who was huddled behind him like a little sparrow, Dorian couldn’t help but feel amused. This girl always had a knack for making people laugh.
So, Dorian led Alice away from the reporters and got into his private car. It wasn’t until they sat in the car that Alice let out a long breath, "Oh my God, that scared to death. When you see reporters, at least give a heads up."
"How about I make it up to you for scaring you?" He suddenly leaned toward her, as if he was about to kiss her.
Alice imdiately covered her mouth, blinked, signaling with her eyes that she didn’t want any of his "compensation" at all.
This girl, if it were any other woman, they would probably be eager for such "compensation," but she, on the other hand, was so dismissive.
At that mont, Dorian felt a pang in his liver.
However, fortunately, he was slowly getting used to her disdain. So he lowered his head and kissed the back of her hand, "Shall I take you ho first, or to your Corporation?"
"To the... Corporation." She stamred, and only after he started the car did she slowly lower her hand.
The spot on the back of her hand where he had kissed felt hot.

anwhile, on Mabel Quinn’s side, only after Daniel Harris left did her eyes finally see the light again.
Mabel looked at Kyle Kinston, "Was it you who found the doctor for Daniel Harris’s eye surgery?"
"Yes," Kyle replied, "I used so connections to find an authoritative ophthalmologist who specializes in such surgeries, and invited him to co to the country to perform the surgery for Daniel Harris."
"Thank you, Kyle," Mabel said sincerely. She knew he had always been concerned about Daniel’s presence and so of her past with him, so she was a bit surprised that he would help Daniel in this way.
"No need to thank ," he smiled, "Daniel saved your life, so of course, I would try my best to save him. Besides..." His voice paused, "I also hope that you no longer have regrets or lingering feelings about him. Mabel, I did all of this just for you."
She gazed at him in a daze. This man always quietly did a lot for her, yet he never spoke of it. If it weren’t for overhearing Daniel ntion it this ti, she might never have known that he had also contributed and helped.
