Kyle Kinston picked up the book and opened to the first page, where two lines of text captured his attention.
Amy said: If soone were to ask what my greatest wish is right now, then I hope that one day, there is soone who can truly see this colorful world with their eyes. If he needs my eyes, I am willing to give him one of mine.
Liam Xenos said: In this life, my greatest happiness and misfortune might be eting you, but I am willing for this happiness and misfortune to accompany forever.
His dark eyes heavily lingered on the words on the page. Having read the novel, he naturally knew that Amy and Liam Xenos were characters in the book; Amy was initially based on Mabel Quinn, while Liam Xenos was based on Daniel Harris.
In his chest, these lines stirred a most uncomfortable feeling, a feeling he recognized as jealousy, jealousy of a past connection he could not extinguish.
Back then, Daniel Harris must have been really important to Mabel Quinn.
And was this line from Liam Xenos Daniel Harris’s true feelings?
Kyle Kinston glimpsed at the corner of his eye as Mabel Quinn had already chosen a book and was walking toward him. He put down the book in his hands nonchalantly and walked over to Mabel Quinn’s side, "Did you find the book you wanted to buy?"
"Yes, and you, what were you looking at just now? You seed pretty engrossed." she replied, as she had inadvertently glanced in his direction while searching for her book.
"Oh, nothing, I was just randomly flipping through a book, let’s go." He said, and together they went to the Cashier Counter, paid, and returned to the car.
Mabel Quinn was about to fasten her seatbelt when Kyle Kinston leaned over, pressing her shoulder against the car seat, their faces incredibly close.
Mabel Quinn was startled, "Kyle, what are you..."
"Just wanted to kiss you," he said, and as soon as the words left his lips, his mouth covered hers in a domineering and intense kiss, making her breathless.
When Mabel Quinn ca back to her senses, she noticed a pair of innocent eyes peeking in through the car window. Then, a pair of big hands covered the child’s eyes; it was the child’s mother, hastily pulling her son away.
Oh my... Had she just been observed by a little kid? Mabel Quinn’s face turned scarlet, both shy and slightly annoyed, giving Kyle Kinston a glance, "How can you be so sudden, soone really saw us just now."
"There’s nothing to be embarrassed about; being together is perfectly natural for us, isn’t it?" His deep eyes looked at her intensely.
If her childhood mories with Daniel Harris were an intangible bond,
Then being with him was a destined intertwining, destined to et, destined to be together for a lifeti!

On Monday at work, Alice Conley said to Mabel Quinn, "The novel ’Sound of the Wind’ has been reissued with your na. Why didn’t you tell , so I could support you? I only found out yesterday when I saw it at the newsstand in my neighborhood."
As Alice Conley spoke, she took out the novel.
Mabel Quinn smiled and said, "This book has long passed the age of excitent for ; the publisher sent a few sample copies, and I just left them in the cabinet. If I had known you wanted one, I’d have given you one."
"Oh, how could it be the sa? You’re our great author and scriptwriter; please do the honor and sign it!" Alice Conley said, opening the book to the first page for Mabel Quinn to sign.
Mabel Quinn was about to sign but was stunned for a mont when she saw the two lines printed on the flyleaf. She rembered Amy’s line from when she wrote that original draft; it was her honest thought back then.
But as for the line from Liam Xenos, she had never written it.
Who could have written it... Could it be Daniel Harris?
Seeing her friend staring at the flyleaf with a dazed expression, Alice Conley said, "But Mabel, why did you write two lines for Amy and Liam Xenos on the flyleaf but none for Caspian? After all, Caspian is the main male character in this book, right?"
"I don’t know how those two lines ca to be. Amy’s is indeed sothing I wrote back then, but Liam Xenos’s line, it’s my first ti seeing it too."
"Who could have written it then? The publisher’s editor? Or..." Alice Conley suddenly frowned, considering a possibility.
She already knew that Liam Xenos was based on Daniel Harris, so did Daniel Harris write it?
"Mabel, this..." Alice Conley said.
Mabel Quinn raised her hand and signed her na on the flyleaf, along with a ssage of blessing.
"Alright, it’s just words from a character; why bother caring about it? If you worry about everything, wouldn’t that be too tiring? So things, once let go, shouldn’t be bothered with anymore. Liam Xenos’s line, to , is just a simple phrase to attract readers," Mabel Quinn said. Yes, to her, it was just simple words belonging to the characters, with no actual significance.
Alice Conley put away the signed book and changed the subject, chatting with Mabel Quinn about choosing photos and also looking at so photos stored on Mabel Quinn’s phone of her wedding dress.
Alice Conley was amazed, especially by one where Kyle Kinston was crouching down helping Mabel Quinn put on a shoe, then looked up at her with a mutual smile, giving Alice Conley a sugar rush.
The friend and Kyle Kinston, they’ll surely be very happy after marriage, Alice Conley thought to herself. As for the photo that Alice Conley found so sweet, Mabel Quinn liked it too and simply set it as her phone wallpaper.
"By the way, if you go back to Falling City to take photos, you could try different styles. Now wedding photos have those vampire styles or traditional Hanfu styles. Or you could cosplay classic ani couples..." Alice Conley was already imagining all sorts of possibilities, eager to have her mind even more blown.
