Mabel Quinn had read the novel too. The author’s skills were rather average. There were many novels being adapted into films and TV dramas nowadays, but most were popular IPs. Indigo Quigley’s book, if not for her father funding the film, probably wouldn’t have caught the attention of the film industry.
"Rich people like to have their fun, as long as we do our part well, it’s fine," Mabel remarked.
"I’m just worried that once she arrives, she’ll cause so much trouble that we might not even be able to do our jobs properly," Alice Conley said.
Two days later, Mabel finally t Indigo Quigley at the studio. She was dressed head to toe in designer brands with perfectly crafted makeup. She looked quite decent, but carried herself with an unmistakable air of an heiress. Once she entered the studio, she imdiately had soone bring in her own desk and chair, saying she couldn’t get used to the studio’s furniture.
Then she spotted Mabel and gave her a disdainful look, "So, you’re the Mabel Quinn who got dumped by Kyle Kinston? You really don’t look special at all, and you dress so shabby. No wonder you got dumped. A man like Mr. Kinston probably just considered you as a distraction for his boredom, right?"
As soon as she said this, everyone in the studio’s attention was fixed on them.
Alice imdiately jumped out, "Hey, how can you say that?!"
"I’m just stating facts, is there a problem?" Indigo shrugged, her face full of mockery. "Getting dumped is getting dumped, are you a toad that can’t eat swan at and can’t let others say it?"
"You..." Alice was so angry she wanted to lash out.
Mabel stopped Alice, then looked at Indigo. Indigo wore a provocative expression.
Mabel smiled faintly, "True, there’s no issue with stating facts. Miss Quigley, you once claid to be good friends with Grace Yowell, often showcasing your buddy photos. I wonder how many tis Miss Quigley has visited Grace since her incident? Surely, with such deep sisterly affection, you must visit her often. Soone who deletes all photos of their past friendship when their friend has an incident and ignores them would certainly not be Miss Quigley."
Indigo’s face turned extrely ugly. Mabel’s retort was a slap in the face that hit Indigo hard, yet she couldn’t retort!
So she could only glare at Mabel furiously and then turn to sit back in her seat.
Alice whispered to her friend, "What you said was simply brilliant. Look at Indigo’s face, it’s like she just stepped in shit."
Mabel replied, "Since she tore the face from the start, there’s no need for to give her face. Though... I’m afraid there will be lots of trouble in the coming period."
After all, in a work setting, the biggest fear is colleagues not getting along. And Indigo Quigley is both the original author and the daughter of an investor.
"Afraid of what? If she really dares to bully others, I’ll go to Dorian Howards. After all, Dorian is the real boss of the studio, right?" Alice said, suddenly startled herself. It seed that whenever she encountered a problem, she would think of Dorian Howards.
Unconsciously, it had beco a habit. But it’s not a good habit to use soone whenever there’s trouble and then distance yourself when there’s not. Even Alice couldn’t help but scold herself in her mind.
