"Yes." Her answer was both to him and to herself, "If you ca to today just to make this proposal, then I can answer you now, I refuse. I don’t want to marry you, and I don’t want everything to stay the sa. I will live well and find soone truly worth loving, so from now on, we have nothing to do with each other."
After saying this, she unbuckled her seatbelt, pushed the car door open, and walked out, heading towards a spot faintly illuminated by a street lamp in the distance.
But after taking just a few small steps, she was suddenly pulled back by a force.
He grabbed her, pulling her back to the car, then opened the back door and pushed her directly onto the back seat.
Mabel Quinn panicked, "Kyle Kinston, what are you doing..."
He said, "You still love , you still have in your heart, otherwise, how could you take care of for a day and a night when I had a fever?"
"I just couldn’t refuse Nate’s request, it’s not because I still love you," she replied, refusing to acknowledge the ripples in her heart, "If it had been soone else who was sick, and Nate asked to help, I would have taken care of them too..."
He kissed her lips, not wanting to hear those words, which only worsened his mood. At this mont, every word she said only made him feel worse.
What he wanted to hear were absolutely not those words!
She resisted but couldn’t push him away.
"Kyle Kinston, if you want to keep here, I can’t escape, but I won’t forgive you, not in this lifeti,"
With a slight quiver in her voice, echoing in the car, her voice was trembling with fear yet spoken with such firmness.
His body suddenly froze, her words were like a needle piercing his nerves, making it feel difficult to breathe.
"Do you hate that much? Hate to the point of not wanting to stay at all?" the voice squeezed out of his clenched teeth, each word spoke with difficulty, and his eyes glared at her fiercely as if trying to see through her thoughts.
"It’s not hate, it’s just not love," her eyes looked sowhat vacant at the ceiling of the car, not loving anymore, so there was no point in continuing, not loving anymore, therefore everything lost its aning.
His face buried in her neck, body slightly hunched, her confession of not loving made him feel suddenly clueless, with a sense of discomfort coursing through his body.
The car fell silent, neither spoke, and ti passed quietly until Mabel Quinn felt it had been too long.
She moved slightly but didn’t encounter any resistance from Kyle Kinston, who remained in his previous posture, head down, shoulders hunched.
And his hand, covering his chest and abdon area, gave Mabel Quinn a jolt of surprise, realizing sothing was wrong.
"Kyle Kinston, what’s wrong with you?" she asked urgently, adjusting his body to rest against the back seat.
Sweat beaded on his forehead, his face looked unwell, his brow slightly furrowed, as if in discomfort.
His hand pressed below his chest, as if trying to suppress sothing.
Could it be his old ailnt acting up again? Mabel Quinn first associated it with that, then asked, and he said, "No, it’s just my stomach feeling uncomfortable."
Because of her words, his stomach contracted painfully, more unbearable than any previous stomach ache.
Stomach? Mabel Quinn paused, then noticed that his hand was indeed on his stomach.
