Edward Quinn was furious and wanted to get to the bottom of what happened in the lounge. Even his younger brother, Christopher Quinn, was a bit surprised. He didn’t expect his brother to make such a big fuss over this matter.
"Brother, is this really necessary? It was just an accident, after all. Mabel brought Kyle Kinston into that room herself. No one could have expected this." Christopher Quinn said.
"An accident?" Edward Quinn snorted coldly. "So, that room was also an accident?"
"But that person might not have been targeting our Quinn Family. Besides, if you really want to investigate this, who knows what might co out. It might even cause big trouble." Christopher Quinn said. "Moreover, even if there’s an investigation, it should be Kyle Kinston doing it. He’s at least one of the parties involved."
"I don’t care whether Kyle Kinston investigates or not, but I will investigate this matter." Edward Quinn said.
Christopher hesitated for a mont and said, "Brother, aren’t you a bit too much regarding Mabel? I know she looks a bit like Clover, but you’re paying too much attention to her. After all... she has nothing to do with our Quinn Family. When Mom passed away, she must have been montarily confused to want to give her 5% of the shares. That’s sothing that belongs to our Quinn Family. There’s so much interest behind that 5% of shares, are we really going to hand it over to soone with no blood ties?"
"Enough!" Edward Quinn shouted, "Don’t say these things anymore. To , she is my niece, and that 5% of the shares will be given to her. Can’t the Quinn Family accommodate her?"
Seeing Edward Quinn’s sowhat angry expression, Christopher naturally dared not say more.
That night, when Michael Quinn asked his father about his uncle’s intentions and learned that his uncle wanted to investigate this matter thoroughly, his face suddenly turned grim.
"Uncle really said he wanted to investigate to the end?" Michael Quinn asked.
"Why are you suddenly so concerned about this?" Christopher couldn’t help but feel suspicious. No one knows his son better than he himself. "Could it be that this matter has sothing to do with you?"
"How could it!" Michael feigned indifference with a smile. "Why would I drug soone in that room? If I liked a woman, I’d just spend money on her, why would I need to use drugs?"
Christopher thought about it and agreed, feeling that he was being overly suspicious earlier. "It’s a crucial ti now. Your uncle and the group’s important shareholders are considering the heir issue. You should work hard to prove yourself."
"Dad, I know you’re definitely on my side, right?" Michael grinned at his father.
Christopher laughed indulgently. Compared to his older son, he did indeed favor his younger son and hoped his younger son would be favored by his brother and chosen as the heir.
In his view, his younger son was closer to him, while his older son was distant and indifferent towards him, making them feel estranged.
"You silly child, it doesn’t matter if I’m on your side. What matters is whether you can catch your uncle’s eye!" Christopher said.
Thinking about his uncle, Michael couldn’t help but feel anxious. If his uncle found out that he was connected to this matter, let alone being the heir, even staying in the Quinn Family would be uncertain.
