Kyle Kinston stepped forward, while Dorian Howards and Alice Conley’s parents all went to the ward. Mabel Quinn looked at Alice, who was currently in a state of slumber, and bid farewell to Alice’s parents, "I’ll co back to see Alice tomorrow. Uncle, Aunt, if you need anything, feel free to call ."
"Alright, alright, thank you!" Alice’s mother responded repeatedly.
Alice’s father then instinctively glanced at Kyle Kinston again, before quickly lowering his gaze.
When Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston stepped out of the hospital, Kyle suddenly said, "Alice’s father is scared of ."
Mabel was taken aback, "At most, he seed a bit reserved seeing you. Saying he’s scared would be too exaggerated. Maybe it’s because you’re so famous, and usually, people can only see you on the news, so regular folks might feel a bit reserved. It’s normal if he feels a little afraid."
Reserved? Kyle Kinston glanced faintly at the hospital. That wasn’t reserved, it was fear. But the question is, what about him would make a stranger afraid?
Or is it because of his status?

At this mont, in the ward, Alice was still asleep on the hospital bed, and there sat Alice’s parents and Dorian Howards, staring at each other wide-eyed.
"Alright, we’ll handle Alice’s affairs, you can leave now." Alice’s father rudely gave the order to leave.
"I want to wait until Alice wakes up." Dorian said, with a tone that faintly carried a hint of plea. He had always been the one giving orders, making others obey his commands. How often had he pleaded like this?
"What difference does it make if Alice wakes up?" Alice’s father snorted coldly, "You didn’t want Alice, nor the child in her belly, and now you’re pretending to be the good guy?"
"It was all my fault back then, I shouldn’t have said those things to you and to Alice. But I truly love Alice, and I want the child in her belly. I just..." He paused, seemingly using a lot of strength, to finally utter the following words, "I’m just afraid she doesn’t love , afraid she’ll marry only because she’s pregnant with my child."
"What kind of nonsense is that? You think we’ll believe you?" Alice’s father snapped irritatedly.
But Alice’s mother tugged at her husband’s arm, and then looked at Dorian Howards and said, "So what do you an by saying this now?"
"I want to marry Alice!" Dorian said, his voice very firm.
Alice’s parents were startled, glancing at each other.
Still, Alice’s father frowned in displeasure, "Do you think just because you have money you can say whatever you want? You can marry whenever you want and not marry when you don’t want to? What do you think our Alice is?"
"Alright, say a little less!" Alice’s mother said, and then looked at Dorian Howards, "Do you really want to marry Alice?"
"Yes." Dorian replied.
"Does Alice know?" Alice’s mother asked again.
Dorian fell silent.
Seeing this, Alice’s mother sighed, "If Alice is willing, we as parents won’t say anything. But if Alice is unwilling, then no matter how much you say in front of us, it won’t help. Also, Alice hasn’t woken up yet, so you should leave for now, we don’t want to see you at the mont."
Dorian tightly pursed his thin lips, knowing it was his earlier resolute attitude when Alice got pregnant, and the words he said when her parents ca looking for him, that chilled their hearts, hence their treatnt now.
