So, he didn’t say anything more and walked out of the ward, but he didn’t leave; instead, he stayed outside the ward to guard. Even if it was in this invisible way, he wanted to watch over her, wanted to know the mont she woke up, and wanted to know imdiately how she was.
Dorian Howards stood at the door of the ward, lost in thought as he looked at the tightly shut door.

Alice Conley didn’t know how long it had been before she woke up. When she opened her eyes, she saw the concerned faces of her parents.
"Alice, you’re awake? Doctor... we’ll call the doctor over!" Father Conley and Mother Conley said anxiously.
Doctor?
Alice Conley was a little dazed at first, then she rembered what had happened and suddenly turned pale, "Mom, Dad... the child... how is my child?"
At this mont, she felt as if her whole body had no strength, as if even speaking required all her energy.
"The child is fine, still safe and sound inside your belly," Mother Conley quickly replied.
Only then did Alice Conley breathe a sigh of relief.
The doctor ca over shortly after. After conducting so preliminary checks, he said that the situation was okay for now, but she still needed to stay in the hospital for observation.
Father and Mother Conley finally felt sowhat relieved. anwhile, outside the ward, Dorian Howards, upon hearing from the doctor that Alice Conley’s situation was okay, leaned against the wall, his face full of exhaustion and weariness, yet he couldn’t stop smiling.
Thank goodness, Alice’s situation is not bad, thank goodness... thank goodness...
In the ward, Alice Conley drank so warm water and felt hungry, so her father left the ward to buy her so porridge. anwhile, her mother said, "You really have no idea, when Mabel called and said sothing happened to you, at that mont, I felt as if the sky was falling."
"Mom, I’m sorry!" Alice Conley apologized. She realized she had been too careless, not considering her safety enough, especially since she was no longer alone but responsible for two lives.
"Fortunately, this ti Mr. Jun caught you, otherwise, even if you were fine, the child in your belly might not have been..." Mother Conley’s words were left unfinished, but it was enough for Alice Conley to understand what she ant.
"Yes, fortunately, Mr. Jun and Mabel were there this ti," Alice Conley said.
Father Conley brought back the porridge, and Mother Conley fed it to their daughter bit by bit, but their expressions were sowhat strange, as if they had sothing to say but held back.
Seeing this, Alice Conley couldn’t help asking her parents, "Mom, Dad, are you hiding sothing from ?"
Father and Mother Conley exchanged a look, and finally, Father Conley said, "It’s just that boy surnad Yu, he’s still standing outside the ward."
"What, Dorian Howards is outside the ward?" Alice Conley was startled.
Mother Conley said, "Alice, he said he wants to marry you, is that true?"
Alice Conley was taken aback and didn’t expect her parents to know about this either. She nodded and said, "It should be true, he has ntioned it several tis."
"What do you think about it?" Mother Conley asked.
"Does that boy think he can marry just because he wants to? Is it that easy? And..." Father Conley hesitated, "He’s from Falling City, isn’t he? In the future, he’ll go back to Falling City, so wouldn’t Alice have to follow him there?"
Falling City, if possible, he really hoped that his family would have nothing to do with Falling City.
