They got into the car, and inside, there was a silence throughout the journey. Kyle Kinston quietly gazed at the scenery outside the window, while Mabel Quinn kept her head down, continually digesting the shocking facts.

Mabel Quinn suddenly thought of Francine Howards, "Was Francine coming to see you that day about this matter?"

After a long while, Kyle Kinston murmured, "I’m not a saint, I can’t possibly forgive him, if it wasn’t for him, my life would have been different." Maybe his mother would have stayed by his father’s side all along; maybe he would have had both parents and wouldn’t have experienced such disgrace, abuse, or even bloodstained hands.
