Listening to Canary’s words, Bologue’s gaze involuntarily turned to Aimou, and coincidentally, Aimou also looked at Bologue at that mont.
Aimou silently mouthed, "Mammon Coin."
A special wishing chanism existed within the Joyful Garden.
Palr suggested, "Rather than dwelling on these matters, let’s first find a way to leave."
"Then I’ll have to tell you another piece of bad news."
Canary felt a headache coming on. Not only did she lose her Extraordinary Power, but she also couldn’t sense Belphegor’s presence. From this mont on, the Joyful Garden, along with her Protection·Eternal Labor, was completely sealed off.
"No one...at least to my knowledge, no one who has entered the Joyful Garden has ever returned."
Like an ominous prophecy, Canary’s gaze swept across their faces, expecting to see expressions of terror, but they were much calr than she expected.
"Could you all leave for a mont?"
Hart, curled up in a corner, took a deep breath and said in a trembling voice, "Can we discuss this after I change my clothes?"
...
While waiting for Hart, Bologue asked Palr to change his clothes too, and also bring out the weapons hidden at ho to share with everyone. These rooms were constructed based on their mories, even the weapons stashed in drawers were perfectly replicated.
Canary played with the dagger, not sure what she was thinking. Even though she was ntally prepared, truly entering the Joyful Garden still made her flustered. Belphegor instructed her to collect tickets, but never told her what to do after acquiring them.
Bologue and Aimou leaned against the wall side by side. Perhaps because no imdiate danger had arisen, Aimou wasn’t too anxious and instead developed an intense curiosity about this place.
Composed of the Devil’s Power, the Void Realm and territory intrigued her. She wanted to study it closely, but the Ether remained silent, unable to provoke any anomalies.
Suddenly, Bologue reached out and pinched Aimou’s arm. Curious, Aimou turned her head to listen to Bologue.
"Are you maintaining a flesh and blood state now?"
"Yes, why?"
Bologue requested, "Could you switch to a Steel Body?"
Aimou nodded obediently. When she tried to replace herself with steel, she found she couldn’t. Her Blessing lost its effect, and she looked at Bologue with a frightened gaze.
"It seems we haven’t lost our powers; they’ve just been sealed, no longer responding to us."
Bologue analyzed that if the Joyful Garden deprived their powers, Aimou should be in a Steel Body state. Thus, it seed Bologue temporarily lost his Undying Body power as well.
Ether, Alchemy Matrix, Protection, and Blessing... the Joyful Garden brought all powers to absolute silence, leaving only mortal essence.
Bologue loosened his collar, feeling a bit anxious. The last ti he faced such a complex and strange environnt was in the Abandoned Land.
Canary suddenly said, "There are a total of six doors."
Bologue left the wall and proceeded down the narrow corridor. The six doors were symtrically arranged, and behind each door lay a sleeping passenger.
The rooms were completely constructed from the passengers’ mories. Because of Bologue’s roommate relationship with Palr, they shared a room. Then there were Aimou and Hart’s rooms.
"Is this your room?"
Bologue looked at an open door and briefly surveyed it. The layout was extrely simple, with nothing but a mattress on the floor and books piled around.
Canary nodded in affirmation, "Yes."
With four rooms confird, Bologue moved toward the first two doors that had been opened. The passengers behind these two doors woke before Bologue, but after coming out, he hadn’t seen them. Perhaps he could deduce their identities from the room styles.
Opening the second-to-last door, indications of spatial expansion were evident here. A huge space unfolded before him; under a stone-built castle, colossal bookshelves stood like kneeling giants, and a faint sweet floral scent lingered.
Rather than a bedroom, this seed more like a grand library. Bologue spotted a carpet on the floor in the corner of this grand library, imagining the library owner leading a carefree life surrounded by books.
Bologue picked up a manuscript and, from the signature at the end, confird the room’s owner.
Erwin Flesher.
The identity of another was confird, and an ominous premonition crept into Bologue’s heart. This was just too coincidental.
Bologue, Aimou, Palr, Hart, Canary, Erwin... Could it be that all who played the board ga were drawn into the Joyful Garden? Was this so kind of twisted list of amusent?
Bologue imdiately left the grand library, ventured into the corridor, and headed for the last door.
Pushing the door open, the sight inside took Bologue by surprise.
There was nothing... absolutely nothing. No bed, no desk, no wardrobe, no furniture, no decoration—only gray-white floor, walls, and ceiling. This wasn’t a bedroom but an unprocessed, ordinary shell room.
Could this be Cinderella’s room?
"Is sothing wrong?"
Aimou ca up, and upon seeing the gray-white cent walls inside the door, Bologue closed the door, "Nothing."
"Did you stash an entire arsenal at ho?"
Hart was astounded at the items Palr brought out. Besides regular firearms, there were iron hamrs, clubs, and various knives. He rembered Palr didn’t have such hobbies.
