"Don’t ask , these are all things Bologue has stockpiled," Palr sighed, "But to be honest, I’ve always felt that as Condensers, we don’t have any use for these things..."
Bologue said, "For unforeseen needs."
The group was fully ard, at least as much as they could manage at present, they were fully ard.
Palr had already scouted the surroundings; apart from the door at the end of the corridor, they had no other way out.
Bologue walked at the forefront, even though Joyful Garden had sealed his blessing, Bologue was still the most suitable to test the waters.
With tense emotions, Bologue pressed both hands against the door, but before he could push it open, the door swung open from the inside, and Bologue almost stumbled forward.
The door opened wide, laughter and music mingled with fragrance rushed towards them, a wave of warmth brushed against Bologue’s skin, like countless gentle hands stroking his body, followed by the enticing whispers of won beside his ear.
A fleeting illusion passed, Bologue snapped back to clarity, and then he saw a woman in a dress standing respectfully in front of him, she smiled at Bologue and bowed slightly.
Behind the woman was a splendid hall, where a massive crystal chandelier hung from the do, its glittering mirrors refracting light into countless paths, resembling a sun brought indoors.
A symphony orchestra occupied the second floor of the hall, tirelessly bowing their strings day and night, with the lilting lodies and the blazing emotions of the crowd intertwining, n and won dressed lavishly twirled in the dance floor.
They embraced and spun, kissing each other at the peak of the lody, their snow-white necks intertwined, leaving crimson lip marks like wounds left by beasts biting one another.
"Please co with , dear guests," the woman directed them, "The other guests are already waiting for you."
The woman’s words were gentle and welcoming, no one would refuse such a pleasant invitation, yet Bologue felt a deep chill within this beauty, and it wasn’t just him, Palr felt the sa way, gripping the long knife in his hand, wishing he could chop off the woman’s head imdiately.
Unease.
Amidst this ultimate beautiful scene, a strong sense of unease churned within people’s hearts.
The woman seed to see through people’s thoughts, she suddenly stepped forward and gently pressed Palr’s hands, slowly lifting the long knife, allowing the sharp blade to cut into her delicate skin.
"Is this what you want?"
Palr was stunned, utterly confused by the woman’s actions, and then the woman forcefully pulled Palr’s arm, impaling her body with the long knife.
Throughout, the woman’s face remained smiling, as if she felt no pain, nor feared death.
Blood soaked through the dress, and her body fell heavily to the ground, the attendants swiftly gathered around, skillfully cleaning up her corpse, wiping away the bloodstains on the floor, as if nothing had happened.
The attendants arrived like the wind, and departed swiftly, but before leaving they left behind another woman, nearly identical to the one who just died, wearing the sa signature smile.
"Are you not satisfied? Do you need more cruel thods to vent your desires?"
The woman gestured to Palr, "Then kindly proceed to the next car, where your desires can be fully fulfilled."
Palr stared blankly at the woman, within the usual phenonon lay an eerie atmosphere, Palr hadn’t even recovered from the shock of the woman’s death.
At this mont, Bologue placed a hand on Palr’s shoulder, his steady voice resonating.
"Calm down, Palr, control your emotions, don’t let her provoke an attack impulse."
Palr took a deep breath, curbing his unease, and the anger borne from it, anwhile the woman showed a puzzled expression, she inquired, "Are you not interested anymore?"
The woman shifted her gaze to Bologue’s face and shook her head, "Strange person."
She continued, "If you don’t have any other needs, then please follow ."
The woman turned and walked towards the grand hall, Bologue followed in her footsteps with composure.
Bologue questioned, "Who are you? The Joyous Desire Witch?"
"No, of course not," the woman shook her head, "I am rely a servant of the Joyful Garden."
"Who are we going to et?"
"The person you should et."
Bologue went on to ask, "How do we leave here?"
"Hmm?" the woman paused, and asked back in confusion, "Why would you want to leave?"
The music in the hall reached a climax, the magnificent lodies echoed in people’s ears like a storm, suddenly the bright and glorious light dimd, they abandoned reason and beca savage and disgusting.
Painful cries surged, they treated each other in the most cruel manner, the silver table knives slicing flesh and blood, shattered wine glasses piercing throats, so pulled out their steaming insides, and tied a neat bow with their bloodied intestines.
Amid the foul stench of blood, excited and joyful pants echoed, their bodies soaked in blood, ordinary stimuli could no longer satisfy these hollow, void souls, so they could only use increasingly cruel ways to stimulate their nerves.
The vast majority perished from this lethal injury, yet when the lights from the crystal chandelier brightened once more, ti seed to reset, the blood and corpses vanished, and the n and won reverted to their lavishly dressed selves, holding hands and dancing ceaselessly.
