Gold, one of the current Defenders of the Order Bureau, leader of the tenth group.

In the tiered eting room at this mont, at least more than half of the field staff present ca from Gold’s tenth group. It’s hard to imagine how he manages these people.

Gold coughed a few tis and began speaking about the report on yesterday’s attack.

With the Order Bureau’s efficiency, retrieving all the intelligence in this short ti isn’t a difficult task. After all, the attack itself wasn’t that complicated.

The Silent Legion suddenly descended, obstructing the first negotiation, and battle erupted. The Order Bureau fought with all their might, ultimately resulting in the entire Silent Legion perishing, bringing this extraordinary conflict to a close.

The outco of the conflict was quite favorable; when the battle erupted, neither negotiation group had entered the closed-off building, and Red Dog was very restrained, not making any over-the-top moves.

It can be said that this extraordinary conflict ended with minimal losses.

Gold’s speech was swift, and as the incident neared its end, Bologue finally realized Gold hadn’t ntioned Nesanel.

Nesanel had also appeared inside the closed-off building; he killed the Silent One of Defender Tier, yet he was not ntioned at all in the report...

Bologue was about to raise his question when the thought was suppressed by himself just as it rose.

Could Nesanel have hidden his whereabouts? What is he planning? And who is the one commanding that shattered alchemy shell?

Just as Bologue fell into another round of contemplation, Gold called out Bologue’s na, the voice lingering in the room, crashing into Bologue’s mind.

Under Gold’s shout, Bologue stood up in confusion, with nurous eyes falling upon him.

"Didn’t expect you to be here; I thought you’d stay a little longer in the Border Sanatorium."

Gold scrutinized Bologue briefly. Excluding professional ties, due to the absolute night journey, they also had a good personal relationship, at least in Gold’s view. As for Bologue, ever since he completely resolved the incident of fractured reality, he almost had no interaction with Gold.

Sotis Gold wondered if he was being self-delusional.

"Bologue Lazarus!"

Gold spread his arms wide, cheerfully, "The greatest contributor in this extraordinary conflict!"

Bologue couldn’t understand what he was saying.

"Bologue single-handedly dealt with all the Silent Ones within the closed building, largely preventing the situation from developing in a worse direction."

Bologue was completely stunned; he did indeed handle the majority of the Silent Ones, but that was by no ans the real threat. On the contrary, only when the Silent Legion was reduced to a single mber did their power manifest perfectly.

No... not perfectly. Who knows how many Silent Ones are dispersed throughout the world, and who knows what kind of power the sole remaining Silent One will gain when they’re truly alone.

This is not Bologue’s achievent but Nesanel’s.

"You need achievent and glory for others to recognize you."

Bologue suddenly recalled what Nesanel had once said. He wasn’t just hiding his whereabouts; he was pushing the credit onto Bologue.

Just as he was about to explain, Bologue realized he couldn’t expose Nesanel directly. Who knows what he’s plotting? Just in Bologue’s mont of hesitation, enthusiastic applause erupted, filling the tiered eting room.

"Really impressive, partner."

Palr tugged at Bologue’s ragged pants, his face beaming joyously.

Amidst the continuous cheers of others, Bologue wore an expression of deep embarrassnt, and worse still, everyone was used to Bologue’s indifferent deanor; nobody noticed his abnormality.

Bologue’s mind was in chaos, fraught with anxiety and entangled with nurous complex events since leaving the Border Sanatorium. An ordinary person would likely be on the verge of madness.

After the cheers, Gold spoke about many upcoming arrangents; once the eting ended, the field staff dispersed on the spot.

Bologue sat in his seat and took a long breath as he savored the rare tranquility but was soon dragged back into the mundane world with calls one after another.

"Well done."

A field staffer passed by Bologue’s side, greeted him kindly, and lightly patted his shoulder.

"Impressive!"

"Heard your na often."

"Definitely the best rookie of the year!"

One call after another, familiar or unfamiliar faces.

Bologue wasn’t good with words, nor was he skilled at socializing. In his long solitude, he had developed so resistance to intimate physical contact, yet these people wore foolish smiles on their foolish faces, praising Bologue as if they were long-lost friends.

His chest heaved, and Bologue forced himself to put on a strained smile to handle this unexpected social interaction.

Bologue wanted to say it felt like a bizarre fan eting, but upon closer thought, it felt more like a ticket checkpoint, himself the unfortunate ticket inspector, stamping the tickets of these people, leaving an imprint on his shoulders.

This is awful.

Lucky for Bologue, there weren’t many field staff present; the nerve-wracking forced socialization soon ended.

This ti, Bologue was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, having so ti to sort out his chaotic thoughts.

Another figure stood next to Bologue, making him irritated. However, he still feigned friendliness and looked up; it was a familiar figure.

"How are you recovering, Bologue?"

Unlike many field staff who ca to offer praise, this visitor showed concern for Bologue, surprising him.

"Kemp... Kemp?" Bologue recognized the acquaintance and nodded, "I’m fine, nothing much."

Bologue glanced down at his own feet, which had darkened from stepping, "Just a bit of a ss."

Kemp smiled at this, greeted Bologue, and then departed. But on his way away from Bologue, the thunderous applause from earlier echoed repeatedly in his mind, each beat seeming to tug at his heartstrings, bringing waves of pain.

"You shouldn’t think this way, Kemp."

Kemp took a deep breath, trying to correct his mindset, but he couldn’t help clenching his fists, longing for the na people just called out to be his own.

The gap between the two was constantly growing until it was insurmountable.

Truly dazzling, yet truly despairing.
