I quickly activated my stealth skill before stepping into the building. On my face there was a sleek black obsidian mask that resembled the face of an centipede.
From the side of my mouth extended my sharp mandibles that made look almost like an ant. My forcipules extended from the underside of my wrist like a hidden blade. Stealthily and slowly I made my way through the building.
The interior of the guild was almost like a nightclub instead of the business interior one would expect. The mont I entered, I could hear the sound of music playing. There was a bar where the bartender served liquor to players who were clearly drunk.
Opposite the bar was a stage where several half-naked won were dancing on poles that extended from the floor to the ceiling. In another corner were the slot machines and tables where players gathered to gamble and play cards.
There was even a boxing ring which stood in the center of this chaos. Two bloodied players were going at it while the ones standing around the ring shouted and cheered.
Seeing this, I slowly deactivated my stealth skill. It suddenly felt pointless sneaking up on them.
The bartender was the first one to see standing at the entrance. He suddenly squinted as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Understandable, who would expect a guy with the head of an insect to suddenly enter their guild? He blinked a few tis to make sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him before pointing out to the guys standing at the bar, but by the ti they turned around to look, I was gone.
I crawled across the ceiling as I positioned myself perfectly above their heads. I then dropped from the ceiling and sunk my forcipules into the back of the bartender’s neck, so by the ti the drunk n turned back around, he was slumped over dead on the counter.
"What the fuck!"
"What happened to him?"
"Jerry, are you ok?"
They raised their friend up and checked his pulse, only to realize he was dead. At the sa ti, their eyes widened when they saw the blood dripping from his neck.
"Soone is here!"
As the words escaped his mouth, I dropped from the ceiling once again and slamd my obsidian-covered fist into the back of his head, smashing his against the table.
A sickening crunch could be heard as his skull was smashed, killing him instantly.
The other players at the bar reacted instantly. The first one pulled out a katana from his storage space. The blade cut through the air perfectly aid at my neck, but I raised my forcipules just in ti to deflect the attack.
But before I could even follow up with a counter-attack, a fireball ca flying at my head. I lowered my head just in ti to evade the attack before shooting out a strand of googum which struck the player’s chest. I pulled the player closer and pierced through his through with my forcipule.
"You fucker!" He cracked as blood spilled from his mouth.
Fighting through the pain he raising the palm of his hand up to my face, aiming to deliver a point-blank attack with his fireball spell, but by then my venom had completely disrupted his mana channels, leaving him unable to carry thw attack.
At the sa ti, the player with the katana took another swing at , but all I have to do was lower my head, which caused his blade to cleave through his friend’s neck. I watched the horrifying realization dawn on his face before I sprayed his face with acid and slit his throat in one fluid motion.
One by one, the players at the bar threw themselves at , and soon, the rest of the guild was alerted by the chaos. I swung through the building with my googum as I sprayed them with acid and injected them with venom.
I couldn’t use magic since Alia was here sowhere in the building, and I didn’t want to end up destroying the building with her still inside.
A woman with ocean-blue hair shot several ice bullets at . She was one of the won previously dancing on the stage.
Using my forcipules, I cut through the ice and dodged whatever I could.
Seeing this, her lips curved upwards into a smile.
"Darling, who taught you how to fight like that?" she chuckled. "Which guild are you from?"
I kept quiet, my eyes slowly scanning the room as the guild mbers slowly circled around .
Suddenly, even more players began erging from secret rooms.
"What is happening?"
"So punk raided our guild. The vice president is handling it."
"Ha, it’s just one guy. Who the hell sends one guy to do a guild raid? What morons are coming after us now?"
Seeing more of her guild mbers arriving, the woman smiled confidently. You could tell that the other guild mbers also felt confident having her here.
"Give it up. You made a big mistake coming here alone. If you surrender right now, then maybe I’ll have so fun with you before I kill you, since you’re cute." She said.
Cute? Did my mask fall off? Am I no longer wearing the head of an insect?!
No, it’s still there. This woman is just insane.
Using my mold skill, I extended my fingertips to form sharp obsidian claws.
Seeing this, the woman reacted instantly, causing several large ice spikes to shoot from the ground.
One of the spikes sliced through the back of my leg, but I barely moved out of the way just in ti.
At the sa ti, I was hit with several magical attacks that sent flying back into the wall.
My entire body ached as I climbed to my feet, but before I could, an ice spike shot through my shoulder.
’Dammit, there are just too many of them for to face in this cramped space. This is not how I’m used to fighting. I have to at least use magic.’
Slowly, I began to channel mana to my feet, trying to control the chaos magic which was already surging inside of .
With my leg raised, I then stomped on the ground.
BOOM!
...
A small smile appeared on Blood’s face as he heard the commotion taking place outside. On the outside, he was smiling, but on the inside, he was deeply troubled.
’Shit, if it’s her father out there causing trouble, then what am I going to do?’ Blood wondered before looking over at the girl sitting in front of his desk with her head down.
She had sat quietly ever since their talk, as if she had completely given up. She looked defeated.
He sighed as he got up from his chair.
"I’m sure you can hear what’s going on out there. Soone’s here. Let’s see which one made it first."
Alia didn’t respond and continued to sit with her head down. She was almost certain it was her father.
anwhile, Blood stared at the door intently as he waited for whoever it was to make an appearance.
Soon, he could hear footsteps approaching, one step at a ti, before the door finally opened.
Standing at the entrance of the room was a slightly older gentleman dressed in a business suit. His black hair held several streaks of gray. His expression was completely unreadable and as one looked into his void-like eyes, you would think you were staring at a soulless being.
Alia slowly raised her head, and the mont she caught sight of the man, her heart fluttered.
"Father..."
