Alex blinked in surprise.
"You were sent here by my master?" he asked, wondering if he should feel relieved or not.
The man nodded, quickly bringing out a Divine-grade ship with high-grade transmigration clouds around it. "If you don't mind, we should leave."
Alex wasn't sure if he should trust the man or not, but he slowly nodded nonetheless. "Okay..."
The man looked around. "I heard you would have so friends with you. A White Tiger and a Seeking Mouse. Are they those?"
"Yes, they are," Alex said, gesturing for Pearl and the rest to co to them. As they walked toward him, the man looked at Scarlet.
"Oh, a Vermilion Bird too," he said with so surprise. He quickly bowed toward her. "It's a pleasure to et you all."
Scarlet felt flustered. "No, the pleasure is ours, Senior."
The man smiled and gestured to the ship. "Shall we?"
Alex and the rest climbed onto the ship under the gazes of the dozens of Divinities who had gathered there in hopes of capturing him. All of that was thrown out the window when the Divine Domain realm cultivator appeared out of nowhere, claiming to know his master. He couldn't find any lies in his words, however, since he even knew about Pearl and Whisker.
Bladedance hadn't t Scarlet, so she probably hadn't thought to ntion her.
"Senior Flastride," one of the Divinities spoke up before they could leave. "The Storm God gave us the task of capturing and delivering him. If your intention is not to do the sa, may we assu that you're going against his wishes?"
Flastride paused for a second, turning toward the Divinity. He stared down at the man, making him feel a deep sense of fear, enough to make him back off without saying a single word.
After a second, Flastride stepped away. "You are free to take him if you wish."
The several Divinities gave strange looks upon hearing that.
"Really?" the one who had called out earlier seed to gain so courage. "Those aren't empty words, are they?"
"Do you wish for to swear an oath? I will," Flastride said. "But before that, I should warn you. His master is the Sword God."
The Divinities held a hint of fear upon hearing that. How could they dare go up against the Sword God? He was in the Divine Domain realm, after all, and easily one of the stronger Non-Celestials.
"Oh, and I don't an Purplerain," Flastride continued. "His master is the real Sword God, Bladedance."
One could hear their own heartbeat in the silence that followed. Not a single Divinity there was unaware of who Bladedance was, and that only led to the addition of their fear.
Their spines grew cold at the thought of capturing Bladedance's disciple.
"If that's true," the man from before continued, "then I shall take my leave."
Without wasting any more ti, he turned around and flew away. One after another, the several other Divinities flew away as well.
There was no point in staying there anymore, as the re thought of offending Bladedance scared the life out of them. Never would there be a day when they would go up against Bladedance just to appease the Storm God.
Once everyone was gone, Flastride smiled at Alex and the rest. "Shall we leave?"
The ship flew into the sky, and Alex finally saw that they were located in a basin next to a large bay. An area of marsh covered the other side of the basin, leading to a large forest that extended for quite a
distance.
On the opposite side, an expansive prairie stretched endlessly, with small cities built sparsely across it.
Alex said nothing for a while, looking at his surroundings as they flew. His eyes moved toward the man from ti to ti, trying to gauge exactly who he was.
He already had an inkling based on everything the man had said, as well as what his master had told him to prepare for.
The man was taking them to soone he called "mother." Alex could tell that he wasn't talking about his actual mother, but soone he simply referred to as such.
It could be that the man considered this person a mother figure, but it was much more likely that he referred to her as Mother because of
her na.
Which made sense, considering who would be in the Sacred Lotus Dominion.
Soulmother. The Beast God.
Alex's eyes narrowed as he figured that much out, which made the
next part quite easy. The Beast God had been there when he was thrown into Hell. In fact, she had actively fought against him to make
that happen.
Other than that, he had seen her during the interviews conducted for the Alchemists during the competition. And each ti, she had been there with a certain soone.
Alex couldn't hold his curiosity any longer.
"Senior, are you a beast?" he asked.
The man turned around and nodded. "How did you figure that out?"
"We've t before, have we not?" Alex asked. "You were there that day when they sent to Hell."
The man gave an awkward smile. "I don't rember taking my human form back then. How did you realize who I was?" he asked.
"The fire," Alex said. "You left trails of fire back then too when you ran. And considering the Beast God sent you here, you could only be one
person."
Pearl and the others looked at Alex and the man with confused expressions. They hadn't realized that this man was a beast at all, and now that they looked at him, they felt they should have. Flastride grinned. "Good job deducing that," the man said. "I am indeed who you think I am."
The man was indeed the flaming horse that followed the Beast God as her steed. With a bloodline descending from the Thousand Miles Horse, he was a descendant of a Primordial as well, and one of the strongest beasts operating in the Human realms.
