Lin Ling's expression changed the mont she saw the crow flying overhead. 'This must be the extrely rare Thunder Crow,' she thought. 'Weren't they said to have vanished from the Demon Beast Region? How could one possibly appear here, and in the Ordinary Region of all places?'

A Thunder Crow's Attack Power is imnse, roughly equivalent to that of a Four Vein Powerhouse. If one appeared in the Ordinary Region, it would be the undisputed overlord. This was highly unusual.

Ye Tian saw the crow fly by as well, its cry grating on his ears. But it was the sight of lightning crackling around its body that truly startled him.

'Could that be a Thunder Crow? I thought they were supposed to be incredibly rare. Why would one just show up out of the blue?' Ye Tian wondered, turning to Lin Ling in hopes that she could clear up his confusion.

Seeing Ye Tian's questioning gaze, Lin Ling smiled. "That's a Thunder Crow, all right. It looks like your Demon Pet has finally found a Demon Beast that can help it grow stronger. But be warned, Thunder Crows are extrely formidable."

With a flick of his thoughts, Ye Tian summoned the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. "Ye Lin, we've just spotted a Thunder Crow. This is your chance to increase your Thunder Power. You might even be able to break through to the next Realm."

Upon hearing this, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python imdiately replied, "Boss, are you serious? A Thunder Crow's Thunder Power is incredibly potent! If I can get its Magic Crystal, I'll definitely grow stronger. I just wonder how many of them there are."

Ye Tian froze. He'd only seen a single Thunder Crow, which was hardly enough to satisfy the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. He wasn't sure if one would be enough for a breakthrough.

"I think there was only one," Ye Tian said. "But I'm sure that if one Thunder Crow is here, more are bound to show up eventually. Ye Lin, this is a great opportunity to break through, so you have to seize it."

"Don't worry, Boss. I'll do my best. I'll take as much Thunder Power as I can get! You can't force these things; it's all up to luck. By the way, which direction did the Thunder Crow go?" the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python asked.

"Straight ahead," Ye Tian said with a laugh. "If you hurry, you might still be able to catch it!" He didn't actually think Ye Lin would go chasing after the Thunder Crow.

To his surprise, Ye Lin didn't say another word and shot off straight ahead. He vanished without a trace in the blink of an eye, his speed astonishing both Ye Tian and Lin Ling.

Lin Ling moved to Ye Tian's side. "Ye Tian, shouldn't we follow them? A Thunder Crow is no ordinary Demon Beast; it's probably the strongest one in this entire region. I'm not sure your Demon Pet can handle it alone."

"Don't worry, Sister Ling," Ye Tian said. "I have faith that Ye Lin can defeat the Thunder Crow. Still, we should follow them. If sothing unexpected happens, we can intervene."

The two of them imdiately shot off in the direction the Thunder Crow had gone, both moving at incredible speeds. "Ye Tian," Lin Ling said, "how about a race? It might help you improve!"

Ye Tian had been thinking the sa thing. He was curious to see just how formidable Lin Ling's Ripple Step truly was. 'Even though I know I'm not her match yet,' he thought, 'I can't be that far behind, right?'

"You're on!" Ye Tian laughed. "You think I'd be scared of my own woman?" With a flash, his body blurred as he shot forward.

Ye Tian was using the First Form of Dragon Form Hundred Transformations at full power. His speed was so incredible that it stunned Lin Ling. For a Second Vein Martial Artist to move as fast as soone at the Late Three Veins was practically unheard of.

Unwilling to lose to Ye Tian, Lin Ling executed her Ripple Step. She left a trail of afterimages as she pursued him, catching up to him in just a few breaths.

"A little faster, Ye Tian!" Lin Ling called out teasingly. "You're going to lose if that's all you've got!"

Ye Tian was fuming internally. 'This damn girl... she just recovered and she's already this cocky. If I had cultivated the Second Layer of Dragon Form Hundred Transformations, I could definitely beat her. But right now, it's a real struggle.'

"Don't get too cocky, Sister Ling," Ye Tian laughed. "You're two whole power levels above . It would be pretty embarrassing if you lost to . But then again, you're my woman now, so it's not a big deal if you lose. It's not like anyone would know."

"You're quite confident, Ye Tian," Lin Ling retorted with a laugh. "You think I'd lose to you? That's hilarious. I could give you a head start and still catch you in a heartbeat. Did you forget I'm the fastest instructor at the academy?"

Hearing her say that, Ye Tian realized Lin Ling's Ripple Step was even more profound than he'd imagined. 'Now that she's my woman,' he mused, 'it might be easier to get my hands on the cultivation thod.'

He didn't want Ripple Step for himself, but for Ye Feifei and Chu Hongyuan. A Body Technique Martial Skill of that caliber would be perfect for them.

Ye Tian knew he was going to lose, but he couldn't stand the thought. He quietly pleaded with the War Dragon Remnant Soul, 'Senior, help out here! I can't bear to lose to this damn girl. A man has to have his pride!'

Ye Tian continued to sprint at full speed, but to his great disappointnt, the War Dragon Remnant Soul gave no response. 'Perhaps it really has fallen into a deep slumber. Without its help, I'm definitely going to lose this ti.'

Initially, Ye Tian hadn't wanted to ask the War Dragon Remnant Soul for help, but his pride couldn't bear the thought of losing to Lin Ling. It seed, however, that he would just have to accept reality.

By now, Lin Ling had already overtaken Ye Tian. A few breaths later, she was more than fifty ters ahead of him. She even glanced back, flashing him a triumphant smile that only deepened his frustration.

Just then, sothing shifted within Ye Tian's body. The Dragon Pearl began to spin rapidly inside his Dantian, unleashing a trendous surge of Energy that made him feel as if his Dantian was on the verge of bursting.

If anyone had been watching Ye Tian, they would have seen a faint golden light enveloping his body. Right then, Ye Tian's only sensation was overwhelming discomfort.

Unconsciously, his pace quickened dramatically until he was moving nearly twice as fast as before. He was incredulous. For the Energy from the Dragon Pearl to beco active again was sothing he had longed for.

He boldly decided to multitask, absorbing the surging Energy from the Dragon Pearl while continuing to sprint. Gradually, he began to close the distance with Lin Ling.

Of course, Lin Ling noticed Ye Tian's sudden burst of speed and was shocked. She couldn't understand how he'd improved so drastically. Not even unleashing one's latent potential could account for such a boost.

In response, she pushed her Ripple Step to its limit, trying to pull away from Ye Tian once more. But he was like a man possessed, quickly catching up to her and then blowing past her.

For a mont, Lin Ling was completely stunned. 'This speed... it's simply Heaven-defying! If this keeps up, I'm bound to lose…'
