Ye Tian's speed was so fast it frightened Lin Ling. She could clearly feel the terrifying Energy emanating from him now, an unsettling power that carried the aura of Primordial Qi.
'I won't dwell on it,' she thought. 'Sooner or later, Ye Tian will tell the answer. I'm going to be his woman, after all.' A swell of happiness filled her heart at the thought of her man becoming so outstanding.
Right now, Ye Tian only felt an unbearable, swelling pain in his chest. Rapidly circulating his Dragon Spiritual Power didn't seem to have much effect. The only thing that could alleviate the agony was to run, to release the Energy in his body by moving at his top speed.
The wind howled past his ears. For the first ti, Ye Tian experienced the sheer, unadulterated thrill of such incredible speed. It could be sumd up in one word: exhilarating!
He knew, however, that this kind of speed wasn't sothing he could achieve often. It only happened when the Dragon Pearl in his body rotated and released its Dragon Pearl Energy. This was an opportunity that couldn't be sought, only chanced upon. He had to seize it; perhaps he could even advance his Power Realm by several levels.
Before long, Ye Tian had left Lin Ling hundreds of ters behind. Lin Ling, despite using her full strength, found it was to no avail. She was once again stunned by Ye Tian's terrifying power.
The two continued to race through the mountains. Suddenly, Ye Tian ca to an abrupt halt. The Dragon Pearl Energy had not yet dissipated, and a faint layer of light enveloped him, giving him an eerie appearance.
Ye Tian had stopped because, not far ahead, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was locked in a fierce battle with a crow that sparked with electricity. The surrounding trees had been blasted by lightning until they were mangled beyond recognition.
Lin Ling quickly caught up. Surveying the scene, she said, "You win this ti, Ye Tian. This is so unexpected. You truly are an unfathomable genius. It looks like your Demon Pet isn't even going all out. This Thunder Crow is no match for it at all."
Ye Tian glanced at Lin Ling and replied, "If Ye Lin wanted to kill that thing, he could do it quickly. He's probably just toying with it to absorb the Thunder Power from the Thunder Crow's body. He's a clever one. It's just that one Thunder Crow doesn't seem to be enough for him to absorb."
'It's one thing for Ye Tian to be terrifying, but I didn't expect his Demon Pet to be just as monstrous,' Lin Ling thought. 'They're a pair of freaks.' Most people would run and hide at the re sight of a Thunder Crow. Its dreadful Thunder Power was no laughing matter.
A single strike could electrocute a person into a charred ss, yet Ye Tian's Demon Pet could absorb it at will. She couldn't begin to imagine how terrifying the two of them would be once they fully matured.
The swelling pain inside Ye Tian was becoming unbearable. Enduring the agony, he said to Lin Ling, "Lin Ling, I'm going to start my Cultivation. A powerful surge of Energy just appeared in my body, and I need to absorb it. Keep an eye on Ye Lin for . If he runs into trouble, please step in and help him."
Lin Ling nodded. She was about to say sothing but saw that Ye Tian had already sat down on the ground and begun his Cultivation. The glow of Energy around his body flickered continuously, creating a very strange sight.
'A sudden surge of powerful Energy appearing inside one's body... I've never heard of such a thing.' Lin Ling was deeply puzzled by this phenonon. She even began to suspect that Ye Tian had a terrifying Energy Body within him—and that this Energy Body might just be the Dragon Pearl that everyone in the world dread of possessing.
'But the chances of that are just too slim. I've never heard of anyone actually possessing a Dragon Pearl, so it's probably impossible for Ye Tian to have one either. It's just... that glow around him carries the aura of Primordial Qi. It makes you wonder.'
'If that's really the case with Ye Tian, then his future achievents will be limitless. Agreeing to be his woman was absolutely the right choice. It can only an my luck is incredibly good.'
Ye Tian circulated his Dragon Spiritual Power through his body again and again. Beads of sweat covered his forehead, and his body trembled slightly, likely from the intense discomfort.
Lin Ling's attention was now completely focused on Ye Tian. She paid little mind to the battle between the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python and the Thunder Crow, though she could still hear the peals of thunder and the sound of trees crashing down around them.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python had not transford to its larger size. In its current form, its Primordial Qi was not fully revealed. If it were to revert to its original appearance, the Thunder Crow probably wouldn't even dare to fight it. The Primordial Qi and the pressure from its bloodline alone would be enough to make the crow flee without a fight.
The Thunder Crow had already lost many of its feathers. The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was, in fact, slowly torturing it, planning to turn it into a featherless Thunder Crow. This would provoke the crow's rage to its peak, causing it to release more and more Thunder Power.
The mind of the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was far more cunning than that of an average person. Every ti the Thunder Crow hit it with a Thunder Attack, its body would tremble slightly. A closer look would reveal that many small wounds had already appeared on its back.

The Thunder Crow was a Demon Beast born with the Thunder Attribute. It normally raised its Power Level by absorbing the Thunder Elent from the air. However, one needed to be at least in the Realm of Three Veins to absorb Thunder Power directly.
Most of the ti, Thunder Crows absorbed the Thunder Elent Particles from lightning in the sky. That kind of Thunder Elent was far more violent. Of course, so were struck dead instantly. Just because they could absorb Thunder Power didn't an they could withstand its most violent forms. Countless Thunder Crows had died amidst lightning strikes.
But the ones that survived were all exceptional. This was natural selection—the strong survived while the weak faced the danger of death.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python and the Thunder Crow fought from the ground to the sky and back down again. The surrounding trees and grass were completely devastated, but Ye Tian remained motionless on the ground, as still as an old monk in deep ditation.
Just then, two crisp sounds echoed from within his Dantian. This ant he had broken through two minor realms and had now reached the Second Vein Seventh Layer.
Ye Tian didn't know the difference between the Second Vein Fifth Layer and the Second Vein Seventh Layer. The Seventh Layer was a watershed mont. Many people spent countless hours and Spirit Stones trying to break through to this Realm, yet he had done so in an instant.
His Dragon Spiritual Power was now more than twice as strong as before. This was the benefit brought by the Dragon Pearl. The golden glow around his body had vanished, and the swelling pain in his Dantian was also gone.
Slowly opening his eyes, he glanced at Lin Ling beside him and smiled. "Sorry to keep you waiting. How are Ye Lin and the Thunder Crow doing?"
