His efforts paid off. A little over three li to their left, he found a decent-sized cave. It would be a perfect place to hide.
"Quick, run to the left! There's a cave over there!" Ye Tian shouted.
The mont the words left his mouth, he and Lin Ling shot to the left like arrows loosed from a bow. Just then, the cawing of Thunder Crows echoed from the sky.
Anyone with sharp eyes might have spotted the very sa Thunder Crow that the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python had beaten half to death among the flock. Flying highest of all was another, much larger bird, clearly the King of the Thunder Crows.
Soon, the Thunder Crows spotted Ye Tian and Lin Ling and gave chase.
The duo was incredibly fast, diving into the cave just as the Thunder Crows were about to catch them. They thought they were safe, only to find a massive creature inside, staring at them like a predator eyeing its prey.
"Ye Tian, watch out! It's a Poison King Lizard! Its entire body is incredibly toxic," Lin Ling cried, her face filled with panic. "Why did we have to pick this cave? We're done for this ti..."
